As with much of the rest of the Series 6, I felt that this episode was rushed - telling, instead of showing.
The imaginary sequence was rather optimistic about how life would have been for the women had Gilead not happened. I recall that at the beginning of the series, Janine was an addict and initially glad just to be fed at the Red Centre (before she realised just how bad things were).
I was glad that Janine got her happy ending. I was also happy to see Emily, but the dialogue seemed a bit forced to me - the explanation that she would never abandon her family seemed to ignore the PTSD which she clearly suffered from in Canada.
I'm really disappointed that there was no reunion with Hannah. I'm wondering whether they're going to use her in The Testaments (which I haven't read). Even if she doesn't appear in the book, there's nothing to stop the writers from including her since the tv series has diverged from the original.
