They only had the fixed tree and not enough pigs in blankets and Barney sweating in his Christmas jumper , poor soul ! It all looked a bit sad 😔
Id rather have gone and done limbo badly outside the Vic and cringed at Elaine’s speech!

It takes a day with Amazon Prime to get things , so they move fast on EE when it’s a bit of a do.
380 quid though! I must be out of touch with the cost of parties!

I know people who love Christmas and would do a half one ! It’s madness.

EVERYTHING is bought at the minute mart, and catering is either the Beales or the Vic 😂

I'm glad we don't see amazon vans, Bezos has enough money, he doesn't need the royalties.
Tbh I can get over the nitty gritty bits of how they pull a party together etc, I just can't get over the shoddy storylines. They really need to tie up the loose ends and tighten the scripts.

You never see any delivery vans or lorries of any sort do you ! Yet food , drinks and party accessories appear over night. You never see them go out to the supermarket or even mention ‘ a big shop ‘ at any time.

I thought Teddy's talk with Barney was quite moving and thoughtful, surprising. Barney behaved with maturity, makes a change from the pouty, baby Barney act. Elaine is being a total cow, selfish, unreasonable and unfair and has lost all dignity and self-respect. It's difficult to sympathise with a blousy, shrieking harridan.

Just realised Jumpers has nice hazel eyes.

So ridiculous that Suki wouldn’t check up on the GP surgery to see if it’s actually been done or what was being invoiced.

I felt Linda’s pain today. Her and Phil are definitely the best two actors in this ( Joel aside, but he is only young and not a lifer !)

I really like Linda and Phil’s friendship.

I liked the little family interaction around Ravi’s new car.

The way Nicola talked to Barney (bear) today was pure - to quote Amy - CRINGE.

Yes I really felt for Linda too. She needs her mum to support her, but as always Elaine’s first priority is herself. Kellie Bright is such a strong actress.

Nicole thinks that Barn is about 10 still.
Luckily he sees through it.
Suki used to be a switched on hard nosed business woman . She is being fleeced by Bernie Taylor. It’s jumped the shark again ! 😆
( the surgery is across the blooming road , go and look or ring up the ‘ contractors ‘ like Vicki tried to do)

At least Ollie and Annie were kept away from the dodgy drinks. Mostly because we never see them.

I’ve only just watched last night’s as we were out.

At least Teddy genuinely tries to look after Barney, I did like the scenes in the caff with the two of them and Zack. Surely Nic can’t be around much longer, her nastiness is really boring..

I could have done without seeing Bernie’s miserable face too. Thank goodness she’s going.

Elaine gets worse every episode, I cannot stand her. Trashing a character like that often means they are leaving (fingers crossed).

@Shellingbynight I asked that on the previous page. Suddenly she’s qualified to do company accounts? 🤔

Nic isn't a believable baddie, or sustainable, because she has no redeeming features or a back story which would explain or mitigate her Machiavellian behaviour. And no female pals who would have her back.

Anna Knight’s leaving this year. Pointless character, I wonder if she’ll leave with Freddie?

I’m happy with her departure, I think the new executive producer is doing a good job so far of culling the deadwood.

I expect Anna will go back to Spain, where she is currently supposed to be. It was a mistake putting her with Freddie, they were just so saccharine and daft together.

I agree @OpalescentFruit Nic is just a cardboard cutout villain, no nuance.

I quite like Gina so hope she stays, she needs to be involved in a story though and not just working in one bar or another.

We already knew that the Vic is being put up for sale from the pics released a few weeks ago so I wonder what Linda will do and where they’ll all live, though at least now it’d just be Linda, Johnny, Elaine and the two kids to be housed. Did wonder if Elaine saying “over my dead body” is an omen though.
