I think they will become close, but not that close.
They haven't got much time anyway as it looks like Sharon will be back in September and surely she and Phil will finally get back together.

How the heck did they (Elaine?!) clear out the flat above the Vic overnight so quickly! 😅

Realistically, how much would the Vic (a free house after Den and Angie bought out the brewery in the 80s) cost? Building, established business, large accommodation upstairs, newly rebuilt and refurbished. Several million. But Stacey bought it for Kat for 100k which would only be a small deposit in reality. Is she even a sleeping partner?

100k was the deposit.
Kat went to the bank to see about a mortgage so am assuming she got it, again, literally overnight!

The most reliable-looking numbers I've seen is that Mick paid £1.2m for it in 2013. It would be worth a lot more than that now. So £100k would be a very minimal deposit.

Linda and Kat seemed to have an agreement about the figure but she wouldn't have sold it for less than they paid!
But it's probably better not to think about it too hard 😆

I remember them moving in and buying it from under Phil , but that was a lot of money.

Very random today with Mo getting arrested and the whole Zoe sorry saga. Even Stacey looks fed up with it all and lying to Kat! It’s a silly storyline all round , but hopefully it’ll be resolved eventually.
Seems strange seeing the Slaters in the pub. Didn’t look right !
Sad that Oscar is being targeted and leaving the boys with him already .. really ??

80s when Mick and Linda bought the Vic I think they had just sold their own pub, so it was the proceeds from that? Who knows where any of them get their money, apart from Phil with the good old money tree.

Good question re the cabs. And why did they bother with the limo storyline when it didn't go anywhere? I do wish Jean would get over herself, whingeing on about Harvey and Kathy. Harvey isn't exactly a prize!

Oh yes, the carters sold the other pub wherever that was.
Considering that Harvey is rarely seen with Kathy lately and if he is he is just eating bacon rolls , I agree his hardly a catch and Jean did dodge a bullet staying with him any longer. She just misses his extra money.

The cabs will run themselves I suppose like most of the other businesses do thinking about it!
Why Suki wants the baby is a mystery , has she even asked Eve what she wants ? No, all about her.
I’d definitely hire Yolande to do the cabs or even Vicki ! She’d be good too I think. She is confident and could do the books too. Or run the car lot ?

The whole Alfie/stacy/zoe/kat/pub storyline is just stupid

Yep, far fetched and annoying cat.
Stacey looked fed up even doing her lines today and Kat will blow up at her once she hears Alfie confessing.
The money she gave her will be forgotten about.

why is everyone behaving like Kat hasn't done this before.. be a landlady i mean?

And wtf with Suki?

Is Vinny gone just temporary or another character gone permanently in a taxi ?

Vicki could do well in the car lot as she is dishonest, can cook the books (handy skill when running a business) and is very plausible. Perfect car saleswoman.

The Alfie storyline is getting ridiculous, I had to look up who this other girl is as happened in my ten year break from watching but so far they’ve lied and said he may have cancer and now he’s off helping out some relative he got up the duff

Suki taking on her ex-husbands great grandchild (because they aren’t her blood relatives right?) is very odd how on earth do they explain that one? Presumably they are going to have to come clean avani can’t hide a pregnancy and suki is obviously the last person you’d expect to become pregnant

it feels like they’ve shoe horned this story in so there’s something going on with the teens as Avani is the only one regularly seen at the min, presumably as the rest were doing exams

I’m liking Oscar, no idea why Linda thought he has a right to know about Annie yet Max doesn’t, I also wish they hadn’t done this grassing up storyline for him, but presumably this gang will somehow get to him, max will turn up at exactly the right moment, save his son and become super dad so Oscar tells him about Annie

I also don’t understand why Callum didn’t just tell Phil him and Sausage weren’t up to anything, they are old mates they could have literally just been having a catch up, but then he’s clearly better suited to Johnny, copper and lawyer rather than copper and bloke incarcerated in a US prison

I wonder if the Suki storyline is going to be her trying to rewrite her own parenting history by pressuring Avani into keeping the baby for her to raise. It seems coincidental to happen when Ash is heavily mentioned and vinnie has an explosive outburst of home truths. I suspect this is only going to highlight further why Suki's own kids hate her. Even Eve looked fed up with her this/last week.

Alfie is apparently back next week, minus Zoe and Oscar's tracked down by that Mike with Jack coming to his rescue "just in time" 🤷🏽‍♀️.

It really is all such a mess isn't it. WTF was that with Mo getting arrested? And then Kat insisting Stacey tell her the truth, and then saying she was too tired and they'd talk tomorrow? And why do Stacey and Kat keep leaving their phones lying around and missing calls? Kat would have that phone stuffed down her bra like Elaine.

@OpalescentFruit I agree, perfect job for whingeing Vicki.

The Suki stuff is just about believable when you think back to her history. She likes manipulating the family for her own ends. She has (entirely her own fault) lost 3 kids to jail, death and Canada. She wants a chance to ruin another life!😄

It would be a repeat of the Kat and Zoe storyline so there is at least a nice symmetry there.
