Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

She's too old for Max, he'll be all over Zoe if she comes back.

Am I reading this right? Anthony is coming back? I quite liked him back in the day, but not sure how that will fit. Is Paul going to be a dead, but not dead dead?

yes. Patrick is going to marry Yolande, so it'll bring Antony back.. not sure why you bought up Paul, he's dead.

Southeastdweller · 21/07/2025 20:10

Patrick identified Paul’s body, so no, Paul won’t be following in the footsteps of Den, Kathy and Cindy.

I thought that paul could come back as well

I remember that happening but it could've been easy to misidentify paul

That would've been the most believable comeback tbh

Shellingbynight · 21/07/2025 20:31

It's a shame Paul is dead dead. He was a great character.

Tonight's episodes were such rubbish I could hardly watch. If someone wins an auction you can't then decide to sell to someonelse. Why the need for the ridiculous false jeopardy.

The Nigel storyline is still being done well, they are all good actors. But even there they seemed to forget Phil is New Phil and he needed a talking to from Yolande.

Alfie really did look as if he was in Milton Keynes.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/07/2025 20:33

When Paul left the Square he had a target on his back and a price on his head. He left in a cab, it was really sad when he twigged that the driver was not just a regular cabbie but a hitman, and he said "Do me a favour , make it quick"

So , even though he's "dead" he could come back , Eastenders style . Patrick might indeed have mis-identified him to get his off the hook .

the80sweregreat · 21/07/2025 20:35

So paul left the same as Vincent then ?

Shellingbynight · 21/07/2025 20:52

I agree that in EastEnders-land Paul is not necessarily dead. Patrick may have seen the body but we didn't! He's about as dead as Mick.

I remember at the time there were rumours that he was abruptly dismissed. Then again, recently another EE actor was abruptly 'let go' and he's turning up again, so...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/07/2025 20:58

I cannot see Max going for Zoe , she's not in a good place emotionally and she's manky . Too much of a Slater , he's been there with Stacey and it didn't end well.

Max and Tanya
Vannessa Gold
Carmel Kazemi
Fi Browning
Kirsty Branning
Linda Carter

Cindy is his type Wink

JessyCarr · 21/07/2025 21:08

The point about the auction was that it hadn’t been concluded when Jean set off the fire alarm on “Going…going…” and they evacuated the pub. Until the auctioneer’s hammer falls, no contract is formed. So although it was all a bit silly in an EE kind of a way, it was perfectly legal to withdraw the pub from the auction and agree a private sale.

Shellingbynight · 21/07/2025 21:49

oh right, is that what happened? I zoned out. The whole Stacey changing her mind, Kat in her dressing gown, Jean and Alfie at their most annoying - a lot unnecessary daft drama.

SnowFrogJelly · 21/07/2025 22:55

How ridiculous is that Zoe storyline..

burblish · 22/07/2025 02:56

It was barely weeks ago that Kat could scarcely afford a half share in an old limo (and even then it was from getting cash from Phil), and now she is buying the Vic? Uh, okay. Stacey may regret giving her that £100k deposit when her credit card bill comes in! 😆 (Which reminds me...how could the Slaters afford to pay for the multiple bottles of the Vic's finest champagne and rounds of shots they had the other day to celebrate the pretend scratchcard win?)

the80sweregreat · 22/07/2025 05:11

The new producer has clearly decided that the Slater clan have to be centre now to most of the storylines and come up with the buying the pub in order to do it. Zoe will return causing more problems and the other families will work around the slaters running the pub. A bit like the time the carters came in and it became all about them for a long time. At least Kat is likeable , but the whole storyline is far fetched. Alfie back behind the bar might be annoying though !

MayBeee · 22/07/2025 05:51

So they are going to swap , Linda , Sausage , Elaine , and the two children ( who I assume have their own rooms currently ) so that makes 5 beds will be in a flat that looks quite small as has a lounge / kitchen set up and we've never seen any further rooms of the place .
It will be making Anna & Gina homeless , unless its an actual 7 bed flat !

Meredusoleil · 22/07/2025 07:07

Gina lives with Junior doesn't she? But yes, not sure about Anna.

Alucard55 · 22/07/2025 08:31

If Martin had 5 children that money should be split evenly between them ?

drwitch · 22/07/2025 08:44

Where is Cindy living at the moment?

the80sweregreat · 22/07/2025 09:56

Martin has three biological children and two he adopted ( Arthur and Lily)
However, rather than give any money to them , Stacey has sunk it into a pub for her cousin hoping for a return in the future. As you would 🙄

NowNumber5 · 22/07/2025 12:53

It's so silly.
As if the Slater clan can just take over the running of the pub like that.
There's got to be masses of legal stuff to get through, what about being a proper licensee to sell alcohol for a start!

And yawnsville to another teenage pregnancy - come on now, seriously?!

Shellingbynight · 22/07/2025 13:11

There are so many needless things wrong with the sudden transfer of the pub. That is a good point about there having to be a licensee on the premises, I'm pretty sure you can't have your application approved overnight!

I'm glad Kat is going to get more screentime but this Zoe return is so far is absolute bilge.

I had the same thought about the Slaters buying champagne in the Vic when they hadn't actually won any money - how did they pay for that.

The Vinny scenes got lost because of the Slater panto, but it irritated me that he taunted Suki about Jags dying in jail - as she pointed out, Jags was in jail to save Vinny. (No idea why she wanted to save Vinny though, waste of space that he is, is it too much to hope he overstays his visa in Canada.).

Elaine said she is staying behind while Linda goes on the cruise, to sort out somewhere for them to live. I'm not sure I'd trust Elaine to do that!

the80sweregreat · 22/07/2025 14:28

Has Kat got a license ? Without one they can’t open.
I can remember it being brought up once before with Linda , but they tend to do what they like regarding the actual law most of the time. I’m sure you can’t get one very quickly either.

Shellingbynight · 22/07/2025 15:01

Kat had a license when she ran the Vic before so I don't know if that would make it any quicker, or if she would still have to start from scratch. But she hasn't started at all so won't have a licence today but you can bet the Vic will be open!

JessyCarr · 22/07/2025 15:28

There’s a statutory 28-day consultation period regardless! But perhaps E20 is exempt.

Shellingbynight · 22/07/2025 15:36

Ha yes it's bound to be - like it is exempt from all forms of CCTV so you can murder and commit arson with impunity😆

the80sweregreat · 22/07/2025 15:46

Going by most things these days I can imagine that applying and paying for an alcoholic licence must be a long expensive process. Unless you live in Walford of course.
Elaine bought one ticket for the cruise , yet she then managed to get two more straight away for the kids overnight. Obviously not a fully booked up cruise then!
Where did Kojo and H go to get fetch the drugs ? How did he get in to get them , did he have a key or break in? Why didn’t Kojo question any of this?
Oscar is going to tell Max isn’t he ! He wasn’t convincing with any of it really, he will ring him up I bet.
Love Julie and how she is, such a convincing character.
