The new producer’s work has only appeared on screen in the past few weeks but he has been planning storylines since he took up the role in February. To me none of it makes sense, it is just stuff thrown at the wall to see if it sticks.

Zoe’s bizarre mini return.
Ravi, Harry, Kojo and the drugs.
Stacey’s scratch card win life insurance win. Deciding to buy the pub as ‘an investment’.
Kat believing Alfie is ‘sorting his head out’ in Spain despite the fact he left the day after they got married and he won’t speak to her.
Bringing Max back.
Bringing Ben back.
Vicky bribing Joel’s victim (Joel is good though.)
Oscar could be good but it depends where they go with him.

I caught up with the last 2 weeks of episodes yesterday and I really liked Oscar's addition to the show. It was refreshing to have a bit of humour on the show for a change, especially from a new arrival. I can understand why he's a bit marmite at the moment but it makes a change from the drab murders, repeated stories and disbelief.

Half the characters ( maybe all thinking about it )should go on ‘ who do you think you are ?’ ..
Any programme makers on here, do a EE family tree special ‘, with a few old characters as well , to see how they are all related. I know people have done written ‘family trees ‘ on here before , but having the actors on as their characters might be funny.

Cindy is Abi’s grand mother , maybe she’ll get involved with Max as they are ‘ linked’ by this?
She is his type , despite him having slept with Lucy historically etc , it didn’t stop her from seeing George’s son Junior so she wouldn’t necessarily hold that against him ! But maybe a plot too far.

Cindy'n'Max is a dead cert , added kudos as to just how much it'll piss Ian off (and they both know this !)

Oh yes: Ian will explode if Max has a liaison with her!
He will make a face ..

I'm feeling generally positive about the new boss - he got rid of some deadwood (Bernie and Felix) and brought back Oscar, who is a breath of fresh air and played by a talented actor. I hope the rumours of him bringing back Ben are true. But he needs to remove some more extraneous characters and hire better writers.

Another return has been announced. Anthony Trueman is returning for Patrick and Yolande’s wedding and the press release says that he only intends to stay for that but something happens that means he stays longer.

Another return that’s not exciting but I guess there’s stories planned with the Slater’s as he had relationships with Zoe and Kat.

Yes, I’m thinking his reason for staying longer is tied in with Zoe returning.

He could be offered a post at the Panesaar Family Practice .
We don;t have SuperSonia dispensing advice on subjects she isn't qualified in and performing random surgery on the pub floor .

Ash might come back but will Suki offer her a partnership ? Or would she spitefully offer to Anthony just so Ash knows she's not the only Dr in the village ?

Yes why did Zoe only return for one week?! Will Alfie bring her back to the square

I am dreading Zoe's return too.

Antony Trueman was dull as ditchwater, and ISTR the acting was around the level of Peter's. They should never have killed off Paul, he was brilliant.

Remember we wondered what Zoe's supposed secret was that would make the family hate her? The timings wouldn't work with giving birth to Antony's baby and having it adopted out would it? Surely not.

I'm all for Kat getting more screentime but not if it means suffering Zoe's meltdowns and Antony's acting.

The speculation before was that Joel is her son , but I honestly had to just look that up as I had forgotten she was in even in it a few episodes only a while ago !
I was hoping that she would stay in Barcelona. Lol

Been on holiday so just catching up now.
In the JackandJack returning to the square in a black cab episode, can anyone please tell me who lives in these two houses (a pair of Victorian/Edwardian semis - worth a couple of mill each easily)

I am liking Oscar Branning and think it’s a good casting as Max’s son, the mannerisms are there.
I just hope they don’t ruin his character with pathetic, pointless plots like they did with Freddie, who also bounced in as a young cheeky chappie.

Suzy Branning, Jack's sister (Carol, Max and Derek too) She was in EE briefly years ago , blonde actress, no idea who.
I really like Oscar too, but I hope he just carries on being a wide boy rather than getting sucked in by dealers and incels

No idea who lives in the lovely semi ‘s worth a mint, but I swear the production team move the sets around monthly and just incorporate back yards or passageways or extra homes on a whim. lol
Grays old place was always the biggest on the square before, but no idea around these ones

Ian doesn't live in one of them does he? But there are quite a few listed as unknown/empty. Lovely houses!

Ian lives in Pauline’s old house. No idea who lives in these ones but I’d kill for a house like that.

Those houses are gorgeous, that's why I was surprised thinking I don't think I've ever seen them as anyone's house before.
And yet we had that mystery lady in green coming out of one of the terraces.
