Lexi would want to honour what Lola wanted, which was for Jay and Ben to look after her.

I think Letitia must be unwell. She left so suddenly and has been gone so long. I hope we see her again soon.

I'm trying to get my head around why Stacey thinks it's a good idea to put the money into the pub as an 'investment'. She's still paying to rent a house to live in, and she won't see any money back unless they sell the pub. Makes no sense.

The slater story and buying a pub is ridiculous in today’s climate. She is barely behind the bap stall as it is without a pub in the mix even if it’s for Kat and the missing Alfie ! Why not invest it instead ?

Loads of pubs are closing down.
Poor Linda and soon she’ll be homeless as well.
Maybe Max will rescue them all ?
Oscar was sweet today. I found him amusing on the stall, but I can imagine I’ll get fed up with him by next week.

I'm behind but I cant believe how much i already like Oscar 😄😄 - excellent entrance, compared to the new mitchells for example 🙄

I actually thought the Oscar actor's performance was brilliant tonight when his face changed from messing around to deadly serious/borderline tearful upon learning Jimmy was born blind 👏

Oscar has a big personality! He is different

I think he’s been the best addition for a long, long time, it’s just a bit distracting the actor looks ten years older than his character.

Not seen the latest episode but I’m liking Oscar

the buying the vic story is ridiculous

I still feel sorry for Phil even when he’s angry which makes me cross at myself

I'm not sure he does, my DS is 17 next week and some of his Y12 friends are actual men!

I hate that they are turning Ravi into a total nightmare.
I hope this stops soon or maybe junpers and Nicola will bring him down a peg!

I agree Oscar was good in the scene where he heard about Jimmy and I was just relieved he finally calmed down tbh! Maybe I will find him a bit more convincing now, I didn't believe the 'crazy' character they foisted on him. I don't think it's the actor's fault, it was the material he was given.

I don't like how they are using Ravi, too many of his storylines involve drugs or him assaulting someone. He deserves more. The 'drugs to pay for Avani's birthday' plot didn't make sense anyway, like most of the current storylines.

I wish that Harry would tell Nicola about the drugs etc as Ravi’s contacts are her ones as well.
I think that in real life you would , but he doesn’t trust her enough.
I feel a big old Mitchell / Panesar show down coming on especially if Kojo is caught in the cross fire too , which is bound to happen.

I don't get Phils intentions. Surely Lexi will just tell him to feck off as she seems happy where she is.

I'm wondering if Oscar is a replacement for Freddie, or just a new chum for him?

There does seem to be a lack of friendships and too much animosity sometimes. There needs to be a bit more comedy without throwing Kim's outrageous behaviour into it.

Honey and Kim do the heavy lifting with the jokes and funny lines, but mostly there isn’t a lot of humour on EE. Maybe that’s why people liked Oscar as he was funny this week, but it is a bit of a low bar and he has some bad ones after him , so it may get a bit dark in the future. Maybe max will see them off! Lol

I’ve just caught up with the last episode and enjoyed seeing Phil’s nasty side re-emerge and Steve McFadden’s acting almost makes me feel sorry for Phil, but Phil has always been the architect of his own misfortunes.

Harry is growing on me. I agree @Soukmyfalafel about the lack of friendships, but it’s been nice to see Harry and Kojo’s being friends. I’d like to see Phil and George’s friendship develop.

In general I’ve really enjoyed this week’s episodes.

I think Phil just wants to make everyonelse as miserable as he is. He would not really want to force Lexi to live with him, and anyway he couldn't. Jay is the legal guardian.

Freddie is leaving fairly soon (thank goodness).

Could Phil fight for Lexi in
court ? I’ve no idea how legal guardianship works , but I’m sure he’ll ring up Ritchie to find out and he can afford the legal fees too if it comes to that.

I don't think grandparents have any rights, unless there are serious concerns about the parent/guardian.

How funny we were just talking about Letitia - Walford Web have just confirmed she has returned to filming and Sharon should be on screen in the autumn.👏

So .. Phil’s arguments are that Callum slept with someone else because Lexi’s dad has been in prison for 16 months and he didn’t ‘ wait’ for him to come out to carry on with his life with them all.
Jay hasn’t done anything at all , far as I know.
Can adultery really count to have custody of a grand child and overturn a guardianship ?
Would Callum’s brief mention Phil’s past ? Criminal behavior, affairs , abuse and so on? He threw Sharon out heavily pregnant once and she went over :(
What is hoping to gain when she lives close by and nobody is stopping him seeing her ?

Judge: As you know, in these courts the interests of the child are paramount. So on what basis do you say I should overturn Jay’s legal guardianship of Lexi?

Phil’s counsel: Well my client is pissed off with Jay because he rang Julie who took Nigel home and now my client is lonely and lacking purpose and wants to hit back at Jay.

.. don’t forget ‘ my son in law had a liaison with Johnny (sausage ) Carter and as I would never do that to anyone ..(, never ! ) .. he deserves to lose the privilege of being Lexi’s surrogate other ‘ dad’ because my son is in prison in the States for fraud and he can’t look after her either.. 🤔 😆
Jay also did the right thing by my friend so now I won’t speak to him. How far will he get? Knowing our system he would probably win though

Walford County Court: Eh, whatever. If Jay needs to leave, we can overlook a lot of stuff.

All the lawyer for Jay needs to do is bring up the fact that Phil tried to kill himself only a few months ago. Surely they would order some kind of report or an assessment of his current state of mind ! ?
Lexi is only 12 or something too , surely that would be seen as a bad idea having her living with him on her own ? I can’t see how anyone would think it’s a good idea at all ? ..

Lexi is 13 next week - will they remember it's her birthday? It hasn't been mentioned yet.

I suppose Phil's fixation won't go anywhere much though, because Nigel is back next week so he can fixate on that.

He needs a lot more therapy 😆
