Zack lives in the flat he started renting with Whit which I think is next door to Kat as he fostered Tommy just before Xmas (but also disappeared over Xmas to see whit)

Jack returned in today’s episode and Oscar arrived. It’s a huge stretch to believe Oscar is 17, but the actor playing him is talented.

Vicki, Ross (it is Ross isn’t it?) and Joel are living in Sharon’s house. I

I wasn’t expecting to like Oscar but I do 😂

Oscar is so like his dad , the cigarettes, the attitude. I don’t think I’ll be a huge fan, but hopefully he’ll change out of the track suit eventually.
I wonder if he’ll go after Johnny ?
He is being lined up to run the stall , but he looks the most unlikely looking stall holder atm to be honest.

I will say that ‘ mini max ‘ had some of his dad’s mannerisms to a t! Must have watched some old ones lol

It wasn't quite what I was expecting but I didn't hate Oscar's entrance. Not sure why Ian was included in the scenes, they should have had Oscar calling Ian, Adam instead of Brian, would have given a nod to Tanya's mistake in one of the live episodes, especially as its the 40th year and they have been referencing other moments over the years.

Yes! Calling Ian Adam would have worked ! It’s usually kim or honey who get the names wrong.
I can’t wait for Stacey to meet Oscar! He’ll probably have something to say about her I guess.
A bit like people were after Harry ( and now his dealing ) seems Mini Max will have these three guys after him as well.

Not sure what to make of Oscar. Very camp and hammy but very like Max too.

I can’t see EE going with the story of mid-20s Johnny having a thing with 17 year old Oscar, it would be too controversial and reinforces the stereotype of the ‘predatory older gay man’. It would be perfectly legal and I wouldn’t have a problem with it but this is the BBC and it’s 2025. Anyway, he made a fun introduction and brings a bit of life to Albert Square so for me the viewing week got off to a good start.

Yes Oscar seems much older than 17. Very strange.

Also, Jonny taking his shirt of to reveal a Rab C Nesbit vest?????

yes, Johnny’s vest was a bit strange! Rab c Nesbitt. (What a character he was !! )
Oscar has already made comments about Pe ta , but yes, a 17 year old with Johnny wouldn’t be very good and raise a few eyebrows.
I saw online that Avani might be pregnant 🙄
Might not be true, but lazy writing if it’s correct. More babies .. poor things

I’m not mad keen on Oscar (looks about 28) and I agree very hammy. He is a thousand times better than Peter but that isn’t saying much.😆

I know they are going for a callback to Max and his cigs but I don’t believe Oscar would smoke, it isn't really a thing with teenagers now is it?

I'm glad someonelse had the same thought about Johnny and his string vest, he looked ridiculous 😆

It seemed a very slow boring episode, you could predict what was going to happen a mile off.

Read online that mini max might make a play for Lily.
I can’t imagine Stacey or Jean being too keen.
Was meh about Jack reappearing. His been away for ages. The police seem very good with annual leave!

One odd thing in this episode, was how the home checker man was still at Sonia's house, hours after he arrived.
He met Peter on the doorstep, Peter then went with Ian to find Lauren, then they had their dialogue with the 3 supposed youths, then when they returned the home checker man was sitting on the sofa! Did he just wait for them to return? Did he conduct his home check whilst they were out? And who was with the baby? Oh and why was Ian in the back of the van when there was 3 seats in the front?

Yes, I was wondering where Jimmy was! Louis Might have been at school , but who had Jimmy?

I didn’t see Home checker man still at the house! Just Ian on the sofa

I must admit I laughed at the getaway in Ian’s van

i quite liked Oscar, very cheeky, sharp sense of humour, i think he'll bring some welcome chaos and fun to the thing if his scripts are handled properly.

I'd quite like to see how Joel and Tommy react to him, and if he and Harry have a future as making trouble.. he looks the sort that Harry would gel quite well with.

I didn’t take to Oscar - too OTT with the performative mannerisms today. Perhaps he will settle into the role. But he needs an “I am 17” badge because it is far from obvious!

WTH was that with Lauren and Peter confronting the bad boys, both as “Detective Beale”, and Peter radioing into his shirt collar? So bad it was funny.

A different man was there later installing a tag machine so maybe that was why. I don’t know where Jimmy and Louis were though.

I think Cindy had the kids as she was there with Ian just after Lauren ran out to go see Oscar
