Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

Makes me laugh when people leave. No affairs to put in order. Is all her stuff still in her house. Is George moving out

no jabs or getting currency or rushing around at the last minute

I thought Jason had no accommodation in Thailand

Fat Brenda!

Please not arsey faced Lauren!

That was a bit of a damp squib send off for Eileen.

Only Sally&Tim, Mary and Steve, with Glenda and Sean behind the bar.

For someone who has lived and worked on the cobbles for so long, you'd think they'd have had a decent send off for her.

Not even a hastily painted "farewell Eileen" bedsheet draped behind the bar.

And since when has Streetcars had such a huge fleet of taxis !

But lovely to see the adorable Laila again, even if her screen appearance was so brief.

To be fair, she was pretty unlikeable 🤣

bizzey · 07/06/2025 16:46

She didn't really have any friends in the street that I can remember.

eggandonion · 07/06/2025 16:50

Eileen used to be mates with Liz and Deirdre.

zanahoria · 07/06/2025 17:41

Enough people have lived in her house

Where was Billy?

JaneJeffer · 07/06/2025 17:45

zanahoria · 07/06/2025 09:22

It would have fooled Deirdre

😂

Lorrymum · 07/06/2025 18:10

So why couldn't James and baby go and stay with his Mum? Makes a lot more sense.

ajandjjmum · 07/06/2025 18:50

I would have expected Billy to be there.

No because Corrie has decided to keep them.James might decide to vanish again, the baby will be permanently on show then will be kept in the baby cupboard with Glory until Corrie writers remember she is there.
I can see DeeDee suddenly remembering her as well, and will be hailed as "Mother of the Year"

Middlemarch123 · 07/06/2025 20:44

I think DeeDee will end up with the gorgeous baby. DeeDee actress looks amazing. I liked her interaction with Daniel when they had lunch.
Thought Eileen’s send off was good, no more ‘Eyelash’ thank goodness.

JaneJeffer · 07/06/2025 20:51

I agree about eyelash @Middlemarch123it was so annoying

EachandEveryone · 07/06/2025 21:48

I wonder if Dee Dee will have a fling or something with Daniel? Or is she too mature for him?

Daft isn't it, how they just pack up their whole life into 2 suitcases, in about half an hour, and swan off into the sunset?! Made even more crazy when (as you say) they leave for another country, 15 minutes after deciding to go. 😆

I wondered that when, purely by coincidence if course, they were both in the Bistro and both were stood up at the same time, and had a meal together.

Too educated for him

He prefers to talk down to women

Deadringer · 08/06/2025 12:36

I really hope Dee Dee doesn't get together with Daniel, she deserves so much better. But they sat down together in the bistro, he even took his jacket off, so that's it, they will be living together by next week.

eggandonion · 08/06/2025 12:45

They have both had a difficult few days, it would be nice if they could be friends. Coronation Street writers aren't very good at that.

I don’t see them together. As someone said, he likes younger, more naive types, so he seems impressive. But I think he will make her realise that being a parent is desirable and she’ll want cute baby back.

It would be the sensible solution but this really is a dreadful way to portray the difficult decisions around adoption.

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 09/06/2025 00:45

Daniel goes for the wrong type. An educated intelligent women who challenges him who he also finds attractive (DeeDee) would have longevity. I always saw her with Adam though.
I enjoyed that episode more than any others I've seen for quite some time. I actually laughed at one point (the Becki comments.)
I thought the people present at the Rovers were the right crew. Billys absence should have been addressed though. Eileen hasn't had a female close friend since the days of her/Liz/Deidre. She's always been close to Steve.
I thought the Streetcar fleet was a nice touch. Of course they existed all this time or Eileen wouldn't have had a job all these years.
Danielle could replace her on the switch. I want her character to become a permanent fixture. She can become friends with Leanne and Tracy. We know she's already in contact with Tracy and she has shown she has some similar personality traits to both these two characters. I would enjoy watching their wtches coven drinking sessions in the bistro and pub.
Jason should come back every so often as Terry Duckworth did. I wasn't sure how it would work but it did. His personna brought much needed light and humour to the scenes he appeared in.
Sally and Tim are great and whoever decided to pair then up played a blinder.
Poor George, he deserves better. He can move into the pub with Glenda, leaving Todd space to move Theo's kids in wlth him. (Mary will be hanging around in.the background somewhere.)
Loved Glory. She's so cute and it's obvious she is very comfortable with her onscreen family. It was lovely to see the baby. I liked the scene witn all the single Bailey men.
Not long ago I didn't enjoy any scenes with miserable Ed and his sorrowful woes. I think Ed as a supportive father and grandfather is great though. His scenes with DeeDee his only daughter who has gone through terrible times really do resonate. He would do anything to help her get through this and they have a great relationship. I liked his backyard too. Have we see this before? I'm sure it mentioned it was full of building stuff.

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 09/06/2025 00:48

Meant to say in summary that finally Corrie is getting some things right.

ILoveBrum · 09/06/2025 00:51

Totally agree @Thequeenofwishfulthinking

zanahoria · 09/06/2025 09:56

George could always live in his own house.

Is Millie encamped at Eileen's now?
