Send help!

Sorry @browneyes77 I didn't know if you would have time to make the new one, the current one is filling up mega fast. I thought I would better make one before it fills up and before I head out for the day.

Caught up again!

Really dislike Veronica, and am glad that she has gone. (Felt sorry for Eliot actually, and thought she was vile to him. Didn't see that coming when he was in with Lauren at the start! I actually started to like him!) 😬

Not buying Jacqui and Ryan, and she is still coming across as unhinged. Also not sure I'm buying Adrian and Awhina. Neither of these 2 couples will last once the show has finished IMO. They're presenting as solid couples but they're not. Jacqui really does think a lot of herself, and thinks she is better than Ryan. I don't like him either though. I like Awhina. I don't like Adrian.

Paul is getting on my nerves now, with his crumpling face, and constant apologies for his shitty behaviour. Violent, can't trust him, pathetic. Carina is starting to get on my nerves a bit now too. She seems like a bit of a wimp.

WTF is wrong with Dave? He and Jamie were solid for many weeks. Strongest couple in there. It seems (to me) that he went off her after all her complaining about Carina and Rhi not siding with her during the Lauren (you're all bogans) scenario! I understand why Jamie went on and on as she was confused and angry, but Dave looked fed up quite often during that time. I think he prefers Veronica too (after the couple swap!)

I like Rhi and Jef, they're really cute. I reckon they will last beyond the experiment.

Beth and TJ aren't suited IMO. He doesn't fancy her. Quite a number of the men are not into the women/not bothered about sex in this show (same with the UK one the past year or two.) WTF is going on with men now? When I was growing up, most men would shag anything that had a pulse. Now they are keeping the women at arms length and waiting for an 'emotional connection!' Or they just don't like sex/don't want sex.

When did this start happening?!

I know a woman (aged 32) who has been with her husband for 12 years (married for 4) and she has left him and is divorcing him because he shows her so little affection, and she always has to initiate sex, and he often doesn't want it. He literally never 'shows up for her' or gives her any support either. She said they have had sex around 15 times in 4 years. (And it is always her who initiates it.) A couple in their late 20s/early 30s. That's not normal. Me and DH were at it like bunnies at that age. 5-7 times a week.

Only about a week left now I think. Home stays next!

.

Cakeandcheeseforever · 22/04/2025 11:38

@SabreIsMyFave that has confused me about a lot of these guys too. Ryan choosing the gym over Jacqui! I'd never heard a man talk about wanting an emotional connection first before watching these shows.

whatapalarva · 22/04/2025 11:44

It’s when they want to stay in the show and keep their options open when they get in the outside world.

whatapalarva · 22/04/2025 11:44

It’s when they want to stay in the show and keep their options open when they get in the outside world.

And allegedly come over as a nice emotionally aware man to attract more women on the outside.

Which shouldn't work, as we can all see they're lying, but probably will.

murasaki · 22/04/2025 12:08

I didn't believe a word that came out of Dave's mouth yesterday. Jamie's dad liked him last time, let's see how that goes now.

And I'm there for the bolshy sisters. Fond memories of Bronte's doing incredible work. So bring on Cleo.

Dillite2 · 22/04/2025 13:03

I would rather men were honest and said "I just don't fancy you physically" than the whole "I need the emotional connection first" nonsense. And it's not that I don't think that men are incapable of wanting to have the emotional connection in order to have sex, it's that when they start off with sex and then start the whole "I need to connect with you emotionally" nonsense that is the problem. But at the same time, the women need to accept that they are not being physically attractive to the other side and not get offended by it.

At least the ixoets aren’t trying to force the guys to have sex, like happened in the last uk series!

Ryan reminds me of Andrew Tate the way he talks and feels about women. I’ve said it before but there was more to Eliot’s story with Lauren things we didn’t see gotta say I did warm to him in the end. Glad he wrote leave the actress was toxic. After seeing the preview for tomorrow the one thing that I can’t understand is why the ixperts put people with children with those who don’t want them it’s madness! Surely there must be some kind of safe guarding issue in place where children are concerned. Awinha should run for the hills he’s only interested in one thing and it ain’t being a father figure

I thought this about Ryan, the way he talks about being a stay at home dad and how it’s insulting! The way his fragile ego couldn’t handle it when Jacqui said she was going to be earning more than him so could he step up domestically?

Hardly that modern to expect that from a man! I think jacqui is nuts but she was spot on when she said he had huge masculine pride.
It’s annoying to watch! That and his neck.

Hmmm Alessandra seems pretty determined that Ryan should be giving Waqui oral even when he doesn't fancy it, and that Teejay should be making out with Beth even though it's obvious he is not attracted to her.

I like Alessandra but I find her constant push for physical/sexual contact when it's clear one party doesn't want to, really uncool.

Yep. A la Caspar from the last MAFS UK wanting tips to use on ‘future partners’. 😒

greengreyblue · 22/04/2025 16:07

Yeah if you need an emotional connection to have sex, why did you do it on the honeymoon when you were perfect strangers?

Heidi2018 · 22/04/2025 16:17

It's upsetting how many women have been made felt unattractive in this season. Wacqui, Jamie, Awhina, Morena, Beth...

In Morena's case it was her shouting and body language that made her unattractive. Objectively she wasn't, but I can't blame Tony for not seeing her as such when she was so aggressive. But on the whole, I agree.

Outofthepan · 22/04/2025 16:28

Shouting and getting involved in rows isn’t attractive no matter how good looking you are, well at least not to me.

I’m also old enough to accept that some people don’t find me attractive and don’tlose sleep over it.

Exactly! I don't know why the ixperts didn't ask him this.

Given they ignored the footsies under the table thing I'm not that surprised.

Yeah that was such an anti climax

That whole exchange was weird though. Neither of them need to stay at home to look after kids. And neither need to go off to New York or wherever for 6 months to work. They're both really odd people with weird notions. At least they match in that respect. They each may earn loads and be very intelligent but their emotional intelligence is collectively zero.

MyKingdomForACat · 22/04/2025 18:32

Hope Dave makes Jamie feel special because she is. She’s lovely and funny and he’s an idiot if he loses her. Think Veronica was a difficult character who decided she wasn’t going to like Elliot so wasn’t prepared to give him a chance. Worst of the bunch is now Paul. Something creepy about him and that’s twicehe’s shown Carina (and the others) exactly who he is; a tosser with no loyalty or discretion

If Dave just told Jamie honestly that he sees them more as friends then I think she'd talk it through and they can agree to end it. He doesn't need to go silent and weird.

Paul, I have concluded, is really thick.

Veronica I'm still convinced is a plant/actor.

Not sure I am ready for the Jamie's sisters lips tonight...they looked other worldly in the trailer!

Yes Dave. You are the victim.
