Todd has got a new beau, and he looks like a Ken doll
And it turns out he's got a wife too
Things never go smoothly for Todd do they really?
What on earth is he going to do?

Julie's still suffering with cancer it seems,
and Kev is still ill with it - how sad
Now Debbie's very likely got dementia
Which is really very bad.

New guy Mick and his missus are loathsome
I hope they leave really soon
I want to just grab them and drop kick them hard
So they end up on the dark side of the moon

DeeDee has had Joels baby, but doesn't want her
And her brother's stepped up to be her dad
But I think she's wavering and getting a bit attached
If she gives her baby up she may be sad.

DeeDee's about to take action for the poor treatment she had
When she was in labour and about to give birth
I hope she gets justice and gets treated right
And gets compensated for what she is worth

Dorin is back, he's incredibly cute
And I have to say DeeDee's baby is too (edit by request)
I hope they don't turn into little shits
Like the children in Corrie tend to do!

Daisy and Jenny have proper fallen out
Over the pub and money and debts
I wonder who'll end up owning it and running it
I think we should take some bets!

I think that's most of what's going on! (Sorry if I've left owt out!)

Well come on, this is Corrie. Here everyone dies immediately or is fixed immediately by a same day GP appointment or a bed in a private room at Weathy general!
You're thinking logically tut tut Hmm

😆

Are we to supposed to believe that’s the first time Lou and Kit have clapped eyes on each other ??

I think it’s the first time they've crossed paths on the street but she said something cryptically about old friends going way back.

I guess there’s a backstory of a triangle of love or crime (or both) between Kit - Lou and Mick.

eggandonion · 12/05/2025 22:08

Poor Bobby but at least he will have fun with Simon. That Mick definitely needs to go into the woods with Gary and his shovel.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 12/05/2025 20:44

V professional Kit telling George and Eileen what was found on Julie’s autopsy in front of the whole pub.

I said that to my DH. 😆 Kit should have said 'I can only discuss this at the police station.' Daft!

Feel sorry for Liam being locked up in that cupboard/closet. I would have passed out. 😱

Mick and Lou are vile. 😖

Poor Ronnie, being lambasted by The Debster like that! (Poor Debbie as well too.) 😢

Is that builder's yard the same one that used to be Len Fairclough and Jerry Booth's, all those years ago. When Deirdre was their secretary

No - I wondered that the other day when Ed sold it to Gary (transaction all in 24-hours Corrie style) and did some research…

Len Fairclough & Ray Langton operated out of 15 Mawdsley Street. They took on Jerry Booth as a labourer but he (somehow) saved them from bankruptcy and he became a partner until he died. When Ray split up with Deirdre, he left Len on his own - Len took on Eddie Yeats to help him!

Lots of history then with Rita etc. and I can’t quite follow. I think I remember that actor who played Len was written out in some sort of disgrace so the yard was forgotten for a while.

The current yard:
19 Victoria Street is a business unit which was part of the redevelopment of Victoria St. Charlie Tubbs bought the lot, he then sold it to before selling it to Bill Webster. Then Owen Armstrong owned it but he sold it to Jason Grimshaw. Gary then bought it but later sold it to Ed who had now sold it back to Gary!

OnTheBoardwalk · 12/05/2025 22:29

Forget about Mick needing to be worried about Gary, he's going to get full force Maria after him when this goes out

he's being pushing Maria but not taking her seriously, I want to see him try to take on Maria now

I'd forgotten about Tracy's fling with another woman. And yeah, that woman was waaaay too old for Sophie IMO. Big age gaps are quite common in same sex relationships though.

I have a question ....

TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE, SUFFERING, AND SELF HARM!!!

I have a question about Julie (taking her own life...) How did she manage to make sure she died just in those few minutes that Eileen was away getting coffees? The more I think about it, the more I think maybe she didn't take her own life/take an overdose.

Also, wasn't it painkillers she was meant to have OD'd on? That is a painful and unpleasant death over a few days, but Julie just slipped away in a couple of minutes. Even if it had been sleeping tablets, she would have taken what, an hour or two to die? I can't find out because when I google it, I get directed to suicide help pages..... ❤

As a nurse, the only painkiller I can think that could potentially kill you quickly is opioids like morphine. We give for comfort to calm breathing down but in large doses it slows breathing, heart rate and an overdose damages the brain and will alter your consciousness. Even so an opioid overdose doesn’t always kill instantly so it’s not very realistic unless she somehow got her hands on some propofol 🙈

I loved it when called herself The Debster

strugglingwithlife · 13/05/2025 08:03

I get the feeling Kit and Lou had a fling back in the day.
I hate Mick, he's absolutely vile

stampin · 13/05/2025 08:37

Mick's just too awful. Are they going do the usual and turn him and his repulsive missus into well behaved, regular cast members? Surely not. 🙄

It would make a nice change for Liam not to get bullied for a while. His poor permanently miserable little face!

foxyfour · 13/05/2025 08:56

Just to say there are some big spoilers floating around for next week including a big one released by ITV themselves which is disappointing. Just to be aware if you don’t want to know what’s coming up.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/05/2025 11:11

Is it me (cause I am tone deaf) the kind that sounds like I’m shouting when I sing but is Glenda’s voice nowhere near as bad as everyone was making out.

Mick is really getting on my last very impatient nerve. I wish Liam would tell his Mum and Gary that he’s making him feel uncomfortable. How dare he make him miss his exams. Whether they’re worth the paper they’re written on is not for that bullying thug to decide. You can villains on soaps and they’re still likeable. He just makes me want to punch my phone every time I see him.

Poor Eileen. I know he was asked but as ifa Police Officer would discuss such matters, surely they’d have to say. I can’t divulge anything here but we’ll be intouch. Also won’t the Police have to prove to the CPS that Eileen physically gave Julie the tablets. IRL it’s onus is on them to prove a person guilty or at least fit for prosecution not on the suspect to prove their innocence

HaddyAbrams · 13/05/2025 12:06

@Awwlookatmybabyspider the Glenda actress (Jodie Prenger) won a singing competition, so I'm not sure why everyone was complaining. I thought it was more that they didn't want live entertainment, rather than her voice was bad. In which case just don't go to the pub!

Kellywiththelegs · 13/05/2025 13:31

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/05/2025 15:53

Am I missing something but who's Tracy to go on about Murder!

Agree! She and the street have a short memory, in classic it’s not long until she offs Charlie!

TheodoraCrumpet · 13/05/2025 13:36

I thought it was a bit odd of Glenda to spend her first night in charge at the microphone like that. And Mick, why would you lock up Liam when your gaffer is Gary and your missus answers to Liam's mum? It makes no sense to take his revenge for the salty tea trick like that. Maria is sure to kick off about the missed exam when she finds out about it for a start, and you can bet there'll be a call from the school or something. I hope this isn't the start of another drawn out bullying storyline.

zanahoria · 13/05/2025 15:50

Maria looked annoyed enough when Mick was disrespecting her hummus

zanahoria · 13/05/2025 15:51

The 'pranks' are mind numbingly tedious, not to mention unoriginal, the sort of things schoolboys did in the seventies

I saw that on Instagram, on the coronation street page. But unfortunately someone let slip to me weeks ago about it as they'd read a spoiler.

SabreIsMyFave · 13/05/2025 19:57

Thanks for the warning about the spoilers folks. I haven't seen any, so will try to avoid (most of) the internet for a week! (Gonna be hard going!)

If it’s the spoiler I’m thinking of, it’s on tv anyway so don’t watch the tv lol

TheodoraCrumpet · 13/05/2025 22:57

Sake. So how long do I need to avoid straying onto ITV territory before this storyline unfolds?

HurdyGurdy19 · 14/05/2025 12:14

Was Glenda the only member of staff working that night at the Rovers? Sean and Gemma weren't there, Daisy's gone, and Jenny doesn't work there any more.

So was she jack of all trades that night - serving drinks, food, changing barrels, glass collecting AND entertainment?

She’s a capable woman of many talents is our Glenda!

eggandonion · 14/05/2025 13:21

George should sell his house that he is never in and buy the Rovers with Glenda. He should buy a wedding limo. All weddings and funerals can have afters in the Rovers.
If Dev is in India can Lauren not work In the shop? And possibly live above it?
