Paddington that's the difference, I don'"t see she is "... generally on the mark, but is like a dog with a bone."

She was right Lauren was rude but then she made it personal. Lauren was rude to them all.

Calling them all drunk bogans.

But Jamie felt the need to aggressively assert this was not true and then victimise two of her best friends when they failed to agreed with her.

She has isolated Carina and brow beaten Rhi. In my book that is far worse than simple name calling.

I would take someone calling me a bogan to my face personally. The troll comment was behind her back but even more personal as it only referred to her not the others.

I sort of agree with your comment re their opinions not meaning anything to her, but I thought part of the ixperiment was to talk about relationships within the group so Lauren's not playing the game she signed up to.

Agreed with you, is is a group experience (plus I'd quite love to be called a bogan is Lauren's snottiest tone!). But there has to be a limit where if someone is really unwilling or unable to contribute, they should be left alone. The others don't know them well enough to know how that behaviour would present itself. I don't think it's hard to understand for the others why Lauren might be struggling.

Re Troll, she said she meant as them trolling her by not leaving her alone rather than calling Jaime a troll as in her looks.

Italiangreyhound · 11/04/2025 15:28

Delatron

"Why did they need to follow her? Lauren wasn’t the remotest bit upset.. She said she was bored of them all and was leaving"

Why couldn't they go after her?

Once one person (Jamie) is dictating how everyone has to act it stays into 'semi-abusive' territory in my book. Even more so when there are consequences for not doing what Jamie says /not agreeing with Jamie.

murasaki · 11/04/2025 15:28

I think it was looks/height related, but we'll never know!

Damn words having multiple meanings!

She called Jamie a troll before though. In the ranking task. She obviously did not mean it in the internet sense

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 11/04/2025 15:32

I’m really torn. I watched it three times like a saddo.

Jamie could’ve handled it better. I still like her though as she stands up for people.

carina and rhi were checking on Lauren as a group member rather than as friends. Much like TJ did with L & C. And I’m sure they said something about her behaviour. I would’ve done same as I’d want to smooth things over with everyone. But I think Lauren cannot be reasoned with. Her behaviour is the most shocking.

I think carina didn’t necessarily agree with what Lauren was saying (how could anyone!) but didn’t like the ganging up hence the mean girls comment.

And yes Lauren is in an experiment and should expect questions but the group did badger too much.

These are my thoughts after the third watch. Others may disagree 😂

As a fellow shorty I hated the little troll comment.

"I think it was looks/height related, but we'll never know!"

I agree. I think it was personal and really inappropriate. I am also not very tall!

Pink I love your dedication in watching it there times. Maybe I should watch a second time!

Must get back to work!!!

See how we're all having a conversation with differing views without kicking off.

We'd give rubbish dinner party.

TitsInAbsentia · 11/04/2025 15:46

I wondered if Awhina/Jamie/Beth were told by the producers to keep prodding Lauren for content, in the same way we suspect Carina and Rhi were told to go after Lauren. I have to stop and remind myself quite a lot that there are people directing them. I am still team Jamie but I just wish she'd handled it more calmly, thus giving less future fuel to others in the group.

I hope Lauren goes. No point in her being there. And CLINT is boring AF.

I dunno, fill us with booze and it might look different 😎

dapsnotplimsolls · 11/04/2025 15:48

The Lauren thing was very clearly set up - 2 of them sitting on one side and everyone else lined up opposite.

True...

And I think we can all agree re Clint. Dull as fuck and meaner than we'd thought.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 11/04/2025 15:50

Ha yes very boringly mature.

I love people like Jamie though who do stand to for others. It’s so important I think. I still remember times when others stood for me after I received abuse (racism)
and it was such a rare thing to have someone stand by me that I’ll always remember and be grateful.

Now with the confidence and don’t give a fuck attitude that comes with age I will intervene.

Dull as fuck and desperate for one.

He did well to not stare at her boobs I thought

Delatron · 11/04/2025 15:55

I might watch it again too. It’s fascinating. It’s a shame now that Jamie is seen to be a bully. Once you use that word then it’s game over.

Personally I think Lauren behaved far worse and then avoided the dinner party like a coward. They’ve all played in to her hands beautifully, especially Jamie and she will get away with all her bad behaviour.

Given they were right there on a plate and looked better than the spaghetti, yes.

It was hardly the classy image she pretends to project.

TitsInAbsentia · 11/04/2025 15:57

Maybe he thought they looked a bit too chewy...

😂😂 this really made me laugh

DaisyYellowGold · 11/04/2025 16:15

Lauren has looked down her nose on all of them since the beginning, she’s not tried to hide that either. I think name-calling and digging at peoples looks is far more bullying behaviour than raising your voice. Jamie never made any personal comments, other than calling Lauren rude. Yes she got heated and over-egged it, but Lauren’s permanent ‘you are all beneath me’ face is far more passive aggressive than Jamie’s behaviour is aggressive.

Pianoaholic · 11/04/2025 16:18

I wonder how Jamie would take it if Dave had a chat with her about calming things down a bit.
Given how she gets on so well with him, maybe she would accept it from him rather than anyone else.
I think he feels he has to 'have her back' (as they say) whatever.
Didn't particularly register Lauren's boobs, chewy looking or otherwise! Probably as they usually seem to be on display anyway!

Outofthepan · 11/04/2025 16:21

lauren’s boobs were out out @Pianoaholic
