Brian is Kat, Mo, Lynne etc. cousin according to Wikipedia. He's Charlie's nephew. Makes Stacey and Sean 2nd cousins and Charlie Stacey's Great Uncle.

I have never been able to get my head around many of the family dynamics of the Mitchell’s or the Slater crowd. Even Jean once with baby Charli was trying to tell the baby who they all were and got confused. ‘ oh, you’ll find out one day ‘ attitude!
Most are related to each other on the square either by blood or marriage.

So Charlie is Stacey's great uncle. Brian (her Dad and Jean's husband) was Charlie's nephew. Brian's parents were Violet Slater, who was Charlie's sister, and Russel. Not sure why Brian didn't take Russell's surname.

Hayley Slater was Brian's niece, his sibling's daughter. There's a whole branch of the family they could bring in.

Brian also had another secret family as he was a bigamist.

Mo is only really related to Kat, Freddie etc. not to Stacey but they all call her Nan.

Bit like Aunt Sal was Peggy's sister, so only related to Phil etc but they all called her Aunt Sal.

Think the Slater's backstory would make a good special episode. Like they did with the Mitchell's.

Remember Sarah slater who was trans and called Josh or something? ( that is probably wrong re his name )
Stacey was having her post partum episode after having baby Arthur and she kept thinking that he was a stalker or trying to kill her :(
He was part of the ‘secret’ family side of the family !
We were all surprised that Arthur was Kush’s child as Martin thought it was his for a few years until it was discovered he had a heart condition like Kush had.

Agree that Zac should have gone to see Whitney and Dolly and maybe just stayed in touch with Barney by email ! Not told half the square his big secret and just let it go because Barney is clearly not unhappy with his parents and is going to do his exams and do well!
