I hear you! I have iplayer, curiosity and a DP who loathes it, so rarely watch when it's live too. But save any comments til post showing. There's a spoilers thread though should you want it!

I have had no Sky for months so have been watching via iPlayer/ITVX, I somehow started Emmerdale a couple of minutes earlier the other day (literally a scene ahead) and was making a comment about something that hadn't happened yet on the live showing.🤦‍♀️

I tend to watch Eastenders after its been shown though.

She is, but then she's got Max for a dad, a dead sister, has to deal with the Beales, is constantly judged even when she's making strides in recovery and is sabotaged as she goes, and I'll say it again, has to deal with the Beales.

I was glad for her when Jimmy latched on albeit in a bog in the dark.

They have turned Ian into a panto villian! He has always been an irritating odd ball, but today was off the scale.
( I bet the writers follow online forums like MN , Reddit etc and taken some of the worst stories about ‘in laws ‘ / family members on board !)

The way Lauren shouted at the hospital staff was the same way she shouts downs others in situations of far less importance.

True, I guess her family and background have impacted her negatively. Peter is a lost cause for the same reasons🙄.

To be fair, Lauren was at the end of her tether !
I don’t understand why Pe ta didn’t ring her straight away when he discovered them both gone from the house. He seemed to hesitate trying to contact her at first.
Poor Louis must be so bewildered by it all too. At least his Nan and great Nan were there for him!

I don't think the way the receptionist was behaving was showing the NHS in a good light tbh. Nor the guy that came along with the mop and bucket!

Couldn't believe the poker face and monotonous voice of the consultant either. But then again, it's probably best when delivering such bad news.

I dunno, the situations I found myself in with my late parents and in laws years ago were similar to this at times too. The NHS can be wonderful , but often it’s not and the professionals can be condescending and ‘ we know best ‘ attitude. Whoever wrote this obviously realizes it’s not always a positive experience dealing with people in a hospital setting!
