This show has been on for years. I’ve never known a single person to watch it.

O it's a shame you don't get to decide how your own thread goes and have to resort to personal attacks instead, isn't it?

Several people on this thread have referenced the mocking of JK Rowling as reasons they don't want to watch The Last Leg. I am suggesting she is fair game on the basis of what we know.

We also know she is proponent of free speech and no doubt will not want discussion to be shut down, as you appear to be trying to do.

But I don’t want to have a trans debate?

But crack on if you want to, I’m sure someone will join in with you 🤷‍♀️

I used to watch it now and again, it's disappeared entirely up its own arse though, it's just a whole load of holier than thou pish.

And Adam Hills gives me the ick - I recall him taking massive delight in unofficially announcing one of the covid lock downs, on a fucking Friday night. Dick ruined my weekend.

The day he dissed JKRowling made me like him even more.

Why? Do you generally support misogynist bigots who hate feminist heroines?

ElizaDolittle4321 · 22/03/2025 03:32

TheAlertFinch · 21/03/2025 23:05

I love it because it's woke and left wing. I might have guessed that's why MN don't like it.

There is nothing 'woke' and 'left wing' about LAUGHING at women not wanting go for a run after dark (a very wise and sensible position), or attacking respected feminist heroines.

Unless you are admitting of course, that misogynistic bigotry is now classified as 'left wing'?

I can't imagine for one second they are losing any sleep over a Mumsnet contingent shuddering over them 😆.

As for JK Rowling...eh...she stands up for Posie Parker who calls for employers to refuse employment to trans people and for landlords to refuse housing to trans people.

It sounds likes she's fair game and I'm sure she's big enough to take it 😆

Has JK said she agrees with every....single.....thing Posie says?

Or is this yet again, another 'Guilt By Association' and if you are sympathetic to someone that means you agree with everything they say purist spiral?

autisticbookworm · 22/03/2025 07:21

I use to quite like it but it got very samey so I stopped bothering. Not sure why people still watch it

Lolalittle · 22/03/2025 07:23

We do. I can’t really stick Adam Hills and his endless smugness but I like the other presenters and the content. It’s a good show all round.

CrushingOnRubies · 22/03/2025 11:08

It’s alright. Kills the time on a Friday between googlebox and Graham Norton

Teencentral · 22/03/2025 11:12

Used to really like it but haven't watched it in about 4 years, same reason as many, find the presenters sanctimonious, misogynistic pricks

allstarsuperstar · 22/03/2025 14:05

Used to love it when it first started. Then started being put off by how shallow and one-note their commentary was. Seemed like they'd rather play unrelated viral videos than discuss anything in depth or with nuance. Then came the final nail in the coffin with their sexist loopy troonery.

Does Reverend Hills still look down the camera lens and say "Now, look," before giving his sanctimonious lecture to the peons for the evening?

You like a so called comedy show because it's woke and left wing?
Can I ask what you find funny about wokeness? ( apart from the shiteness of it which I'm guessing isn't what you mean)
The whole woke shit has destroyed comedy imo

What’s brilliant about it @Maddy70

It's so funny, also topical satire

Violashifts · 22/03/2025 19:00

I love it

Ladyymuck · 22/03/2025 19:40

Used to watch it and enjoy it when it first started but it just feels rather smug and worthy these days.

MoanasTummy · 22/03/2025 19:44

ZookeeperSE · 21/03/2025 22:25

I watched it a few years ago before I realised Adam Hills was a massive insufferable prick.

Absolutely this.

caramac04 · 22/03/2025 19:45

I used to but the support for men in women’s sports made me despise them

JazzyJelly · 22/03/2025 19:48

Fooksticks · 21/03/2025 22:56

Stopped watching it when Adam came out in support of men in women's sports.

Same

I used to watch it religiously, and they had a lot of good things to about disability, and also about politics (they hate Trump), but then the misogyny started to ramp up. They took the piss out of a woman (guest?) for not wanting to do her daily run after dark, and that was when I switched off for good

Me too. Used to really like it, and then yes the preaching and private men's club attitudes clicked in. I haven't watched it for the last couple of years.

saying there is no problem with males in female sports makes you an idiot in my opinion

Optimist1 · 22/03/2025 19:59

Fooksticks · 21/03/2025 22:56

Stopped watching it when Adam came out in support of men in women's sports.

You'd imagine that being the father of daughters he would have thought that one through a bit better.

TheIncredibleBookEatingManchot · 22/03/2025 20:10

I used to watch it but when I saw Adam Hills talking about the murder of Reeva Steenkamp without once mentioning her name and saying what a tragedy it was for Oscar Pistorius and his fans but not saying how terrible it was that a woman had been killed, and neither of the other two said anything I went right off it.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 22/03/2025 20:22

When they didn't support Jeremy corbyn, despite him being everything they claimed to support, I was done

Cynic17 · 22/03/2025 20:24

I used to, for years. I loved it when it fitst came on in 2012. I like Adam Hills, but it did get a bit "samey" and politically predictable, so I haven't watched for a while.

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 22/03/2025 20:26

Disgusting misogynistic shite masquerading as “edgy” humour.
