Here we go again!

We thought that the lowest scorer from the chefs who are through is subbed by the wild card. Anyway, we will see.

Octocat · 25/03/2025 12:41

That would be brutal if the lowest scorer was chucked out! Surely Tom and Andi would have mentioned that when they were gleefully discussing their wildcards?

Davros · 25/03/2025 16:01

Just sat down to watch tonight’s on iPlayer as I’m going out and they’re not showing this week’s programmes ahead of transmission 😢

Sunbird24 · 25/03/2025 17:41

I did not know it was on last night 🤦‍♀️ Fortunately it’s on again in 20 mins so I can catch up before the next one - will read the thread to see what everyone else thought after that!

Right, back on track and very chuffed for Sally! Also a bit confused about the wildcard substitution situation, so looking forward to seeing how that works, albeit only minimally bothered really…

Rita Fairclough's Vinted has been flying off the shelves. Hide the credit card, Andi.

jay55 · 25/03/2025 20:05

Evening missed yesterday didn’t realise it was on

Sunbird24 · 25/03/2025 20:05

Hello! I don’t go a bundle on beige for Andi

What a bizarre way to do the wildcard. Why can't they just have nine chefs competing?

EsmaCannonball · 25/03/2025 20:07

I would be so pissed off if I was Daniel from Wales, especially as he came second yesterday. I like the idea of the wildcard but it does seem to rob a chef of the chance to improve. Why not just let them all cook and edit the show a bit more efficiently.

Hedjwitch · 25/03/2025 20:08

I thought Sally would make way for Wildcard as she already had a dish secured.

EsmaCannonball · 25/03/2025 20:09

I'm also not keen on the celebrity guest judges. If they can't be classed as a great Briton then they seem a bit extraneous.

ArtTheClownIsNotAMime · 25/03/2025 20:09

It MIGHT just about have made sense to get the starter winner to step down, as they're definitely in. Then step down the fish winner for the main.

Or my preference, cut out the bits between each course where the judges ask guests leading questions so they can promote whatever they're currently selling, and fit in nine chefs cooking.

Sunbird24 · 25/03/2025 20:09

I’m guessing they can’t have 5 cooking at the same time but couldn’t they have managed 3 x 3?

Evening!

Hmmmm. A little odd.... And to put both North East people in the same heat. No pressure, then!

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 25/03/2025 20:09

Ahhh, yes. The Welsh dish for Central.

Sunbird24 · 25/03/2025 20:11

Still having fun saying pickled cockle popcorn, but she’s not serving that any more ☹️

EsmaCannonball · 25/03/2025 20:12

Sally's fish dish just had a really weird tone. Very royal but not very Diana and Diana is still someone who touches quite a nerve.

Yeah, cut out Russell wanging on and give Daniel the opportunity he has earned. Grrr. Not happy about this format.

jay55 · 25/03/2025 20:15

The lighting is a bit weird today in the judging room. Also please can this man shut up.

littlbrowndog · 25/03/2025 20:16

I didn’t know it was on yesterday 😔

EsmaCannonball · 25/03/2025 20:18

Oh, I remember the thermos flasks. If this wins Blenheim Palace is going to be full of Great Britons half-inching them in their handbags and down their cummerbunds.

littlbrowndog · 25/03/2025 20:18

That is a good flask

EsmaCannonball · 25/03/2025 20:21

I swear I've seen those fish jugs in a frou-frou shop near me, and they were not cheap.

Sunbird24 · 25/03/2025 20:22

Water bath drama is a new one
