Here we go again!

OP posts:

I want to eat that onion dish now. Looked beautiful.

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:24

Mark reminds me of Stacy's brother from Gavin and Stacy. I'd forgotten this Sherlock Holmes dish got through. Looked so impressive but, apparently, tasted pretty awful.

Settling down late, have I missed judging yet?

LaMarschallin · 24/03/2025 21:26

Really pleased the Sherlock Holmes dish has improved so much - thought the presentation was amazing

Not really. Jean's dish was still a bit frozen inside and the North-East guy (Tom?) got really good remarks about his suffragette onion tea starter.

LaMarschallin · 24/03/2025 21:28

"Elevating" is obviously the food verb du jour

namechangingeasy · 24/03/2025 21:29

Thanks

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:30

This dish really needs to be served to the sound of Richard Burton's gorgeous voice reading something, anything.

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:31

I always wonder how much of each dish they eat. I could probably fully eat all eight starters and all eight puddings.

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:33

Amber could so play the horsey wife of a landed Tory councillor in series 2 of Rivals.

PotterHead1985 · 24/03/2025 21:33

Mouthfeel again!!

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:45

I like any dish based around potatoes. There's nothing bad that you can do with a potato.

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:51

Lorna's critique about food sticking to the back of her teeth is so weird. Surely the chefs can't be held responsible for Lorna's dental configuration?

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:53

Callum! That was onion tea guy's name. Yeah, liked that one.

namechangingeasy · 24/03/2025 21:56

This week could be painful if we see the same gaps in quality in two or three chefs

EsmaCannonball · 24/03/2025 21:58

Yes! Finally Sally gets to the banquet proper.

PotterHead1985 · 24/03/2025 21:59

Delighted for her

namechangingeasy · 24/03/2025 21:59

Can’t complain about that.

RampantIvy · 24/03/2025 22:00

So pleased

CapabilityBrownsHaHa · 24/03/2025 22:03

Evening all. Sorry, I was watching the football! I did record this, but switched over in time to see Sally win. 😃. So pleased for her. Who knows, she might be in with a decent shout for main, too....

I’m very confused about the preview of tomorrow. The Welshman doesn’t seem to be in the line up. More stomach troubles?

PotterHead1985 · 24/03/2025 22:17

I missed the preview. I flung the telly off to leggit to bed with this migraine. No clue how I survived the hour through vegan starters

Davros · 24/03/2025 22:47

Aw sorry @PotterHead1985 I hope you feel better tomorrow.
I think they should stand down from the other courses once they get selected for one. Didn’t Lisa Allen do three one year? Shock

Maybe as they have a wild card in that course they suggest anyone who is rubbish can drop out if they want. So still only 8 per day.

I think they should get rid of Lorna
