I hated the whole proposal thing and thought it was cringey af - and just made the whole thing look completely set up. Yep you just "happened" to choose the member of the audience "randomly" who's bf was just waiting to propose, having met him before
Saw on the FB page people saying the proposal made them cry, wtf 🙄
Also as people have been saying, what a random number of guests to want at your wedding... i think the DU was "Concerts" partners name, which was actually Dean, so surely it should have been DE
Thought it was interesting we didn't see the paper Simon was struggling to read off, wonder how much of it actually matched... sure they usually zoom in on stuff like that...
Thoughts on finalists:
Blackouts - would like to see them win. Nice to see something that's actually a bit different and clever
Vinnie- meh, bored of similar sounding singers and think there are better who have left e.g. Linda
Stacey - see Vinnie
Olly - he's very good, a lot will depend on the songs he plays, could use being in a band eventually. Would rather watch him than boring singers
Jasmine - one of the singers ive liked best, lot will depend on song choice as to whether I like the performance
Binita - very good for her age, but didn't do enough to wow me
Joseph - loved his audition, when im not usually a fan of comedy. Thought his semi final performance was awful, didn't laugh once and the repeated elongated "long" annoyed me. I wouldn't have put through, never mind gold buzzed
Ping Pong - like them, wouldn't mind if they win
Post Office choir - worthy cause but have seen better choirs. Simon should give them a platform to do a charity single for those affected by the scandal
Harry - I did like his audition, but hated the proposal, cringey and so obviously staged. No.
Wonder who the wild card will be? Have a horrible feeling it'll be Max, but we have enough flaming singers and the whole "its definitely not staged" and the judges seeming to really promote him is a no from me. Plus singing the same song, and I dont actually like the song. No.
I'd like to see cheer re man's, but reckon it'll be someone who's readily available to appear at short notice?
