This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. His Lordship doing his best to help Bates but of course prosecuting counsel can always make things sound bad

Lord G is doing his best to speak up for Mr Bates, but asked about his wife he has to admit that Mr Bates said "better still the late" damning words.

Mr Bates is found guilty.

The jury have come back quickly and Mr Bates is pronounced to be "guilty"

Hanging! Not just prison.

Anna is distraught.

Violet is trying to warn Rosamund off Lord H - good job that Rosamund has money.

Sentenced to death.hanged by the neck. Gruesome words

The solicitor states that the death sentance is a matter of routine but it can be challenged.

Miss O'Brien regrets her part in the proceedings.

Mr Barrow is probably thinking "every cloud has a silver lining" as he eyes up the valet's job.

Mary and Lord G have a heart to heart about Mr Pamuk and Sir Pilchard.

Lord G is sympathetic to Lady Mary's situation and tells Mary he just not have to marry Sir R.

Lord G realises he is hardly without guilt when it comes to improper behaviour and forgives Mary. He encourages her to break with Sir Pilchard and go off to America and avoid the scandal. He doesn't want her to be unhappy.

Lord G tells Mary what we've been thinking all along - don't marry Sir Richard!

He suggests Mary should go to US. 😭

Yep, I think they'll all be coming this way soon!

There are times when I would really like to shake Daisy!

Sad wet day for the ashes of Lavinia's dad to be laid near her.

Mary, Matthew and Isobel meet on a miserable wet day to scatter Mr Swire's ashes at Lavinia's grave.

Mary says she's leaving, but she doesn't say explicitly that she's not marrying Sir Pilchard.

Matthew is being so stiff and upright and honourable. He is determined to be unhappy out of guilt. Isobel is trying to talk some sense into him.
