The Emmy-award winning HBO original series, which offers an inside look at the powerful and wealthy as they navigate complex personal dynamics and face potentially dangerous experiences while on vacation, returns for its third season this month.

"Seeking peace can be a trip," reads the tagline for this season, which was created, written and directed by former "Survivor" contestant Mike White.
This time around, viewers will be whisked away to an "exclusive" resort in Thailand, where an eclectic group of guests and resort employees will play, and likely misbehave, over the span of a week. "The White Lotus" Season 3 guests include a wealthy businessman and his family, three longtime friends who haven't seen each other in a while on a girls' trip and "rugged man with a chip on his shoulder" and his girlfriend, among others.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Starts on Monday and will be shown on Now and Sky. No watching on demand as all episodes will be dropped weekly.

Well this is the first time I've seen Walton Goggins in anything and now I'm obsessed with him 😅.
Couldn't stand the moody sod in the first episode, but he does have a strong but vulnerable side, and amazing abs.

He was amazing in The Shield, was a bit of a standout in a fantastic cast.

I love Goggins 😍 he’s such a great comic actor in Vice Principals and the Righteous Gemstones but I’ve not really seen him in a dramatic role before.

do you he has a ski goggle company called Goggins Goggles 🤣

Doingtheboxerbeat · 25/03/2025 14:46

The Righteous Gemstones is hilarious enough, but Goggins is ludicrously funny due to his appearance and accent alone.

sweetpickle2 · 25/03/2025 15:12

I think Gaitok's gun is a red herring- everyone is waiting for a shoot out from the first episode, there has been so much focus on his gun, now he's got it back but there is of course a second gun that will probably come back to the hotel in the next couple of episodes (Rick's).

Agree about the pointless "missing" gun plot line. But Gaitok is sharpening his shooting skills- is he the one who is going to go berserk? He seems quite a repressed character who has been under a lot of stress and he's clearly crazy about Mook. Will all that suppressed emotion come to the surface?? As for Chloe, Gary/Greg said he wanted her help with something. Is he going to let her off her infidelity in return for luring the brothers to the house? (Framing one of them for killing Belinda, maybe??)

My DP thinks that Gaitok and his gun are going to save the day in some way, and thus he'll prove himself to people who think he's just a nice guy, and impress Mook.
I'm not so sure; in previous seasons at least, there hasn't been much changing or learning, not in a positive way anyway.

That's a good point about Chloe and Gary.

CharlotteLightandDark · 25/03/2025 16:28

Yeah I don’t really understand anyone’s motivation around Gary’s dinner party - why on earth would Saxon bring his parents to that when Gary knows about him and Chloe, and Chloe knows about him and Lachlan? Surely you’d go nowhere near the place!

Yes, considering how she casually revealed what had happened in front of Chelsea, you would imagine he would be desperate to keep his family away from her!

friskybivalves · 25/03/2025 18:23

And why would Belinda go, yes ok Gary I’ll come to dinner. You just would not go anywhere near it. She thinks he wants to harm her FGS!!

The dinner of death

TheGlamour · 25/03/2025 19:38

One of the countless reviews I’ve read reminded me there are actually three guns in play. Gaitok’s, Rick’s and the hotel gift shop thieves’. (Who we presume are Valentin and his buddies.)

sweetpickle2 · 25/03/2025 20:55

Ohh yes @TheGlamour good shout! And the dialogue keeps saying how bad things come in threes.

RosaMoline · 25/03/2025 20:56

I’m loving this series, it’s honestly keeping me guessing and changing my mind.
I thought Saxon would be the massacre perpetrator earlier today, but then someone said Gaitok & now I’m thinking yes - wolf in sheep’s clothing?!
I first thought Mook was somehow involved to start with, as a distraction for Gaitok!
I’m just pissed off that it’s only one episode per week - !!

Yes a couple floating about

The dinner of death

But isn't the dinner party at Greg's house? The shoot-out happens at the hotel. Plus, the shoot-out is going to be in the final episode and the dinner is in the penultimate episode. It all just seems a bit obvious to me.

Who do we know who has a gun? Gaitok and Rick. But Rick's gun is in Bangkok and he has to fly back to Koh Samui and it seems unlikely that he'd get a gun through airport security.

LunaNorth · 26/03/2025 09:00

This series has made me feel like I need a good shower after watching. All grubby.

I loved the monk though.

cheezncrackers · 26/03/2025 09:40

Yeah, I find the incest storyline absolutely revolting. Final taboo it may be, but it's not one I ever want to see on screen. I want to be entertained, not disgusted.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2025 09:41

I’m guessing something will happen or someone will get hurt or die at the dinner

maybe the revenge shot out after is why

sweetpickle2 · 26/03/2025 09:46

I think the dinner is misdirection- the assumption is someone will get hurt or die there, but they won't. I think Greg will offer Belinda hush money to open her spa and she'll have to wrestle with good vs evil.

From the way it was played, Belinda was too scared to say no. She probably thought if she refused, it'd be obvious to him that she knows who he is. I think she should/could have just said she had a staff dinner to go to, but I get why she wouldn't want to refuse.

My DP is adamant that the thieves were Thai and that it was Mook who was hanging about the security barrier distracting Gaitok. I thought it was Valentin's mates because I could swear it was Valentin who came to talk to and distract Gaitok. Confused

Maybe Mook and Valentin are both in on it!!

sweetpickle2 · 26/03/2025 11:13

Mook has to have a bigger part to play- Lisa is arguably one of the most famous people in the world, and so far her part has been nothing more than occasionally fluttering her eyelashes at Gaitok. I just don't see how/why they would have got her if they weren't going to give her a bigger role.

curiositykilledthiscat · 26/03/2025 11:23

Lisa has recently gone solo and her first album was released last month. The White Lotus is one of the most talked about and critically acclaimed TV shows of the last few years that is shown all over the world, so I can totally see why choosing to have a small role in this would be a fabulous publicity move for her at this stage in her career.
