The Emmy-award winning HBO original series, which offers an inside look at the powerful and wealthy as they navigate complex personal dynamics and face potentially dangerous experiences while on vacation, returns for its third season this month.

"Seeking peace can be a trip," reads the tagline for this season, which was created, written and directed by former "Survivor" contestant Mike White.
This time around, viewers will be whisked away to an "exclusive" resort in Thailand, where an eclectic group of guests and resort employees will play, and likely misbehave, over the span of a week. "The White Lotus" Season 3 guests include a wealthy businessman and his family, three longtime friends who haven't seen each other in a while on a girls' trip and "rugged man with a chip on his shoulder" and his girlfriend, among others.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Starts on Monday and will be shown on Now and Sky. No watching on demand as all episodes will be dropped weekly.

I actually missed the brothers kissing (I'm guilty of using my phone while watching TV) until I saw something on Instagram. I think the only scenes I watch fully are PP ones.

cheezncrackers · 18/03/2025 12:11

Ugh - it's just stultifying! Each episode over an hour and barely anything happens. The incest storyline is disgusting. The old white guy detailing his debauched sex life - disgusting - although I agree that Rick's reactions were probably the best thing about this otherwise limp episode. And agree that why the hell doesn't Belinda just call the bloody FBI? She's an American, she's supposed to be a ballsy, ambitious businesswoman. Is she so feeble that she can't pick the goddamn phone?

The girls kissed

then urged the brothers

friends kissing fine

siblings kissing. Not

big brother didn’t seem impressed /want to - where to me younger brother was all for it

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2025 12:13

Yes I don’t why why Belinda doesnt call and say she’s seen Greg

curiositykilledthiscat · 18/03/2025 12:17

I’ve read a rumour that Saxon is a step-sibling to Lochlan, so it would be ‘OK’ for them to shag. There won’t be any incest because it’s such a taboo subject and Mike White knows it would kill off his career.

I went back to see it when I realised I'd missed it, then felt like a bit of a perv!

@cheezncrackers yes I agree about Belinda. I get why she wouldn't contact the Thai authorities but definitely she could contact the FBI, I'm sure there's an anonymous tip line.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/03/2025 12:47

Pervy panic 😂

sure someone said in e1 about incest and younger bruv was watching older in bathroom

TheresaBackinbud · 18/03/2025 12:52

I think the kiss is the start of role reversal, whereby Lochlan starts out as naive and innocent and the White Lotus corrupts him. Saxon starts out as the Alpha Make and I hope he has a chastising experience to make him a better person. Do you remember the youngest son in the first series who ran off to join the local lads in the sea and missed his flight? He chose his tribe and Lochlan might do the same.

i first discovered Sam Rockwell in The Green Mile and was appalled by his disgusting character. But Sam is such a great actor that you are applauding his character in JoJoRabbit. I love him.

Sam Rockwell is one of the most talented and respected actors of his generation. I think he'll win an Emmy for his performance in this week's episode.

He won an Oscar and countless other awards for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

That's a stretch but he was fantastic in 3 Billboards.

This series is boring me to tears. I don’t care for any of the characters, nothing is happening, I’m not sure what’s going on anymore, I’m not even pausing when leaving the room. Rick’s expressions are the only entertainment!
Such a disappointment.

It wouldn’t kill his career! That’s a reach.
no way they are step siblings, how would Lochy even know if that was the case. Remember Piper wanted Lochy to sleep in her room, there is a weird power dynamic going on between the siblings.

Was anyone really struggling to hear Sam Rockwell?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 18/03/2025 15:19

Agree with all those saying it is underwhelming and boring this time. I struggled to pay attention

Hyperfish808 · 19/03/2025 06:55

I’m enjoying it. Sam Rockwell’s monologue was brilliant and he played it so well. Walton Goggins also brilliant in this.

DuvetsCovered · 19/03/2025 07:02

They've been on that boat for several episodes!

Mike White finally telling it as it is.

Whitenailpolish · 19/03/2025 14:05

I am really liking it, it’s a slow build but I think the payoff is going to be immense. The location is so beautiful but so different to me, it adds an unsettling vibe.
I am committed to watching this without looking at my phone as I think all the details have to be noted and add to the watching experience.
I love the way the storyline goes in unexpected places. I fully expected the Carrie Coon character to have a one night stand so was surprised when it was the actress friend. However looking at her obsession with age and being perceived as old it totally makes sense. Loved the straight laced friend in her pyjamas sending everyone home.
Loved the changing of power between the brothers. He is popping the pills and laying on the pressure to party.
Also loved to see Autogynephilia laid bare!

RosaMoline · 19/03/2025 14:56

I enjoyed this week’s episode.
However (the three ladies & the Russians) when they went back to the hotel, that isn’t a private pool is it? You’d have thought they’d disturb the other guests with their carry-ons/shenanigans!

sunbum · 19/03/2025 15:15

Four seasons villas (the hotels where WL is filmed) have private pools as well so I assumed they were in their private pool as they said 'lets go back to our villa'

curiositykilledthiscat · 19/03/2025 16:38

Who can blame Jaclyn for shagging the delectable Valentin, but I think she also slept with him because she knows Laurie wanted to sleep with him, it’s classic Mean Girl stuff.
