Am I being unreasonable? Series 2. SPOILER THREAD

I finished it all today, need a rewatch.

It's so good. Just as good as series one, although I needed more cleaner lady Viv because she was just excellent!

Thoughts on series 3?!

And I think Jen did kill the old lady and her emotional state when the friend started singing the song she was going to sing with her previous obsession was a realisation that she may end up like those two old ladies!!!

although a bit odd as she will be making herself homeless. Assume the grandson will be inheriting… his face when he saw Nic was definitely more fear than relief they’ve found her so they can set her free

Unless Jen has manipulated the old lady to change her will and leave her the house?

I think they're all terrible people, all of them.

It makes no sense that the two young people on the train wouldn't have gone straight to the police, why would they want to find a murderer?!

I enjoyed it but I like DMCs sense of humour so there was enough laughs to keep me entertained. It is a bit sad she felt the need to do lip fillers, she looked a lot better in series 1 imo.

Lenny Rush is a great actor I can see him having a long career.

It was hinted at as Ollie overheard his mums confession and then Suzie randomly disappears...

The two kids hid after the event, so for some reason they didn't want to be seen/speak to the police. We don't know the reason. But it seems they now do want to speak to her, maybe the girl being pregnant is part of the reason, we don't know that either.

I mean, none of it makes much sense really.

Ollie's dad was asking him where Suze was and Ollie was being all mysterious about it.
I had the impression he has killed her ! ( he probably hasn't , but that's what I took from the final scene)
I do need to watch it again.

Well they did but your dad being annoyed isn't really a good enough reason not to report a murder is it 🤷‍♀️

I think they were trying to imply that she is from a culture where dating outside it would lead to bad things - particularly for the boy.

assume same would be said for her getting pregnant though so seems a little inconsistent

i kind of get it though - her killing him that way seems fantastical and as kids from the wrong side of the track I can imagine they would think they wouldn’t be believed anyway

Depends on the dad! It's not really a murder? Interesting to know what she'd be charged with - could claim to have frozen or something. The people watching didn't do anything either!

She deliberately made sure he was stuck in the door and didn’t do anything to stop the train so the only outcome was his death

it probably happened to fast for the witnesses to really process and act

nics reaction to the car’s death was very different from the dads which was also interesting.

I assume suze is in the cellar as it was mentioned earlier

It was murder in that she deliberately caught him in the train door and could have stopped the train but didn't... she wanted him dead.

It would be difficult to prove though, it sounds like the police investigation was useless at the time.

I'm sure there would have been cctv on the station and in the train as well.

I may well have dreamed this bit ( or getting my dramas mixed up ) but I'm sure the cctv wasn't working or something like that ??
Plus we are not entirely sure if the real version of events either and I'm no further forwards on that after series two really !
( or not paying enough attention)

Does anyone understand why Alex came clean to Suzie? And I know it was implied that Alex did really care about Nic but if that’s the case why did he have sex with Suzie upstairs knowing it would hurt her?

Alex was a narcissist. They are all really unlikeable. I don't think he loved Nicola at all, but I did find series two a bit muddled at times.

We do know the reason. It’s because her dad would have killed the lad if he knew they were together. Which he would have done if they’d witnessed a murder together and gone to the police.

He hated his brother, so would do anything that hurt him, including hurting Nic. Though I though Suzie was the instigator there anyway, on the pretext of trying for a baby.

There were bits I enjoyed but overall it seemed jerky and muddled. Lots to wade through to get to the good bits. What is going on with Jen though?! Don't think I'll watch series three.

Yeah I don't like Jen. Her reactions to things are all over the place and inconsistent. I just some explanation for her behaviour. It's very odd. I think this series suffered from it having to stop and restart production.

Well, I thought series 2 was absolutely brilliant. I actually liked it better than series 1! The ending blew me away, again. One of the most clever and funny TV shows I’ve seen in a very long time —DMC is an amazing actress.
