it starts tonight doesn’t it? Where are we watching it? I used Daily Motion last season.

So exited 🤩

I can see both sides.
Him trying to explain the reason he's not vulnerable to his emotions is because when he tried, he felt hopeless, defeated. However he witnessed his Father's way of managing the situation and he's decided from then on to take the same stance.
However Veronica rather than him explaining why he's guarded, wanted him to open up to her without being guarded and was frustrated that she feels she doesn't know that side of him.

Equally she's an actress and could be just doing all this for the 5 mins of fame.

Majorityofthree23 · 25/02/2025 19:04

Well surprisingly impressed that Eliot stayed so calm with Veronica. I think Lauren (whose audition tape was nuts! She's not nice) has got in her head. Not everyone wants to open up and share every emotion.
And Tony wants a baby....really????? Think he's looking for a way out without saying I just don't fancy you.
And what has paul done???????????

Merryoldgoat · 25/02/2025 20:34

Jesus today is insane 🤣

Veronica is weird, Tony and Morena are a car crash.

Bloody hell I need to see what Paul has done!!

I'm a bit disappointed in Veronica - I wanted to like her. I do get what she is saying, he is a tad robotic with 'oh that'll do' roll out story but she went on and on and on. Perhaps she could have asked 'Have you ever been in love?' 'Have you ever had your heart broken?' I will be so mad if I forced to feel sorry for Elliot.

It's becoming increasingly harder to like Lauren. She is such a cold fish. Seeing her interview tape, he must earn this, he must be alpha...... Bloody hell she is a stealth Jacqui. All the nuts and batshit sprinkles but without the tears and demands 101 compliments an hour. I imagine Clint was considering his options in the bathroom wearing his paper pants whilst topping up his fake tan.

Tony and 'For 7 years I have worked on Myself' - oh dear. I think he is terrified and who blames him. Of all the people in the experiment, she really does have crazy eyes. But he is so odd. He is only 52 but seems a good decade more, retired even just so much older than his years. But he wants a baby! Or is that an excuse? I think so.

stringsoup · 26/02/2025 09:25

I hate to say it but I'm a bit disappointed in MAFS full stop!
The whole thing is now so staged and scripted 🙄

mrsmalaprop · 26/02/2025 11:42

Sorry to anyone who hasn't seen this yet, but I find it really interesting that the men reacted the way they have to Paul punching a hole in a door. All of them are saying the right things about unacceptable behaviour and holding other men to account for it, which is great.

But you don't often see the same response when another man is taking psychological and emotional lumps out of women. They aren't pulling Adrian aside to 'hold him to account'. That sort of damage is just as profound as physically hurting an inanimate object.

Kitkatcatflap · 26/02/2025 12:36

Just watching it now - wasn't expecting that.

Majorityofthree23 · 26/02/2025 19:45

Well that was quite the rollercoaster.
Paul and Carina was very hard to watch.
Adrian has no insight whatsoever into his own behaviour. None! Is he hoping Nando's will pick him up for an ad campaign.
Jacqui is completely barking....
Veronica was wrong to bring up Eliot's confession letter but good that group backed him.
What would this season be without the fantastic Jamie and her facial expressions and commentary!
And..... what did Lauren catch Clint doing???????? We have to wait until Sunday.

bumblenbean · 26/02/2025 21:09

I'm sorry but Veronica is unhinged. I'm no fan of Elliot but she was AWFUL to him. Sneering at his story, speaking in riddles and saying he was twisting her words when he was being totally measured and reasonable. It was like he was talking to a brick wall. And then she cuts him off saying I'm enforcing a boundary don't raise your voice at me - he didn't! It was as like as soon as he made a point she didn't like she shut him down. He literally could not say anything right.

I honestly couldn't be around someone like that. It actually made me feel really uncomfortable, she seems really quite vicious.

Tony is nuts. Who does he think he's gonna have a baby with Ffs?!

JustFeedMeCake · 26/02/2025 22:00

@bumblenbean agreed, absolutely. She was utterly vile to him and he handled it really well. I felt so sorry for him.

Merryoldgoat · 26/02/2025 22:21

I agree too @bumblenbean

It was really strange. I don’t like Eliot but she was peculiar and behaved abominably.

I think Jacqui is just acting - no one real could be that idiotic.

Paul really should be kicked off. What he did was awful and Carina needs to call it a day - punching a wall because your girlfriend has had sex with someone else - fucking toxic and childish behaviour.

Maybe Clint was putting fake tan on? Or plucking his pubes?

I too struggle with the weirdness of a plate of meat.

I have my suspicions it was a euphemism. Had a bit of sausage…

Kitkatcatflap · 27/02/2025 08:09

Did anyone else think Paul was initially trying to put the blame on Carina. When he returned to apartment the morning after there were a lot of 'You' comments from him. Aside from the tears at the dinner party has he shown accountability? If Carina has to say on camera I don't feel scared a few weeks in - that's not right.

In Mafs UK last year there was a couple where he had anger problems, he threw plates of food at the wall, shouted and called her names. He was twice her size and it felt really uncomfortable that the judges treated his anger as new couple teething troubles.

Yes I thought that! I'm wondering if he tries to do that again at the CC and that's what the ixperts are pulling him up on as well as the actual event.

2old4thisshit · 01/03/2025 09:34

Paul should have been removed from the show, as soon as he punched the wall. He is not safe to be around and dramatising violence, for the sake of dinner party or cc is not good.

He then twists it to Carina’s fault and she is minimising it, that she’s not scared ect.

scaredysquiggle · 02/03/2025 08:54

When does the new episode drop?

StartupRepair · 02/03/2025 09:56

Hated tonight's episode. It was deeply uncomfortable to watch.

Thanks just starting it

Majorityofthree23 · 02/03/2025 15:21

So yes not much fun as episodes go.
Most women would be only too happy to have their husbands do the washing up... poor Clint! Think it's a very superficial definition of an alpha that he doesn't wash up?! Lauren is a very cold entitled fish.
Veronica had the empathy of a cardboard box.. and why why why why are Adrian and Awhina staying..?!?!?!
Paul and Carina too hard to watch and think he maybe should have left. Never never never ok.
Couples retreat looks like a good watch as usual though suspect the audience will go for Lauren if she goes for Jamie! What a week.

No33 · 02/03/2025 16:06

Apologies, I saved up this week so catching up today 😆

But lauren, yes I cannot like her. I find the way she's going on and on about Elliot, really annoying. We get it, but you've got a new relationship, concentrate on that. Also, the way she acting about a man wanting to do the washing. Weird.

Our male expert is crap compared to aus. He doesn't call out bullshit the way John does.

I was also very uncomfortable the way that man was able to stay after his behaviour.

Merryoldgoat · 02/03/2025 19:27

Agree - John is so much better.

Ryan and Jacqui are bizarre - I wish they could be edited out.
