I have just googled and you’re right! What was all
the drippy ‘single parent’ whining about then? Hardly benefits street is she? Annoying. Glad she didn’t win a penny. (Still loved Alexander though - he was a gent).

I also googled Frankie. Her shop has gone out of business and her interior design business accounts show a loss every year I looked at.

She might come from a well to do background and have a nice website, but that’s not saying she’s financially successful in her own right at the moment.

I think she’s either remarried, or with a partner now though and their new home’s been featured in the media, and it looks expensive, so she has a seemingly nice lifestyle even if she has struggled at times. I’m just mindful that people rarely give away the whole and genuine story of their life behind closed doors.

I do wonder how much of the motivation to 'banish again' was down to thinking there was another traitor, or just wanting a bigger slice of the pie.

I think it's difficult.

If everyone else votes to banish again, and you're the only person who votes to stop, does that maybe make you look more like a traitor who knows they're going to win and therefore wants to stop.

TooManyCupsAndMugs · 26/01/2025 08:13

NoMoreFalafelForYou · 25/01/2025 23:38

Sorry if this has come up already but it’s really been bugging me. Am I right in thinking there’s no real point in finding the traitors? As soon as they boot one out, another is recruited. If the only way to win the game is by being in it at the very end, wouldn’t it be better to work out who the traitors are and just stay close to them? Keep them on your side and then vote them out at the very end. All the excitement when they vote a traitor out and Claudia congratulating them, why does it matter? Now, if they added £20K to the prize pot for every traitors out, that would make sense. But otherwise there’s no point to it! I know they have to do it to give the round table a purpose but I do think it’s a flaw in the game.

I think Claudia should recruit 6 traitors but they work alone- no traitors tower, they don't know who each other is. They would then each be given a night to murder (or have to try and murder in plain sight!). When banished, only the audience would know if they are a faithful or a traitor because if they revealed at the banishment, the flaw then would be the Faithful could count down how many they got. The recruitment of new traitors is definitely the flaw!

I didn't know that charlotte was infertile? 🥺 how horrible *of frankie to say that, if so

Edited

Frankie saying this to Leanne round the fire pit picked up on their 121 chat in the kitchen where Frankie had assured Leanne that she wouldn’t banish her because she wanted her to have the money for her IVF, and she as a fellow ‘mummy’ couldn’t take that away from her.

So repeating it at the fire pit was appealing to Leanne to trust her and not banish her.

I don’t remember whether Charlotte was still standing there at that point, I don’t think so - but Frankie had to play the game and Charlotte was a traitor so Frankie had to detach and kind of treat Charlotte as ‘dead to me’. Frankie would do everything to keep herself in and that meant appealing to Leanne.

Charlotte didn't make it to the fire pit. She was banished at the round table. Nothing about being a mother etc was previously said in front of Charlotte and it was purely between frankie and leanne.

@TooManyCupsAndMugs I like the idea but the plotting/suspense is a big part of the show. I think two groups of 3 or 4 could be fun and maybe the faithfuls don't know it's two groups. So the traitors are no longer all knowing.

Dreammouse · 26/01/2025 08:50

I enjoyed this series, felt it was a bit slow at the start but picked up.

Even though Alexander didn't win I'm sure he will get plenty of opportunities now as he was so popular.

I think Minah was a fantastic Traitor and had she picked someone other than Charlotte (who imo was equally as good) she probably would have made it further. Linda was entertaining but a terrible traitor!

Wish Fozia would have stayed in for longer as enjoyed her insights and she seemed very perceptive.

I liked Leanne, she was playing a good game- the faithful often seem to forget that gameplay is just as important for them to progress as it is for the traitors.

WinterCosiness · 25/01/2025 15:47

Not sure. Alexander looked genuinely disappointed when Charlotte's name was called and not his.
Also, Frankie said she had doubts about Alexander and almost picked him. It's a shame she didn't, but hey ho...

Alexander said very clearly at the round table to Frankie : I gave you my coins as knew I couldn't win the Seer. I hope you'll choose me so that I can tell you I'm a faithful. He couldn't have been clearer. I think Alexander was disappointed that it wasn't him and also that it wasn't leanne (who he suspected).

He's very switched on and logical also, I suspect he knew the Seer was a poisoned chalice for both parties. I think Frankie probably didn't choose him as he already had a lot of suspicion around him and was likely to be banished; makes sense really to go for the person you are most uncertain about.

Ah of course. In which case, I don’t think Frankie did anything wrong and wasn’t being unkind about Charlotte’s own need for IVF.

Samcro · 26/01/2025 10:43

i thought Charlotte wanted the money to go traveling.

i thought Charlotte wanted the money to go traveling.

At the dinner party thing she said travelling but at the end also very quickly, like she didn't really want to talk more about it (fair enough) mentioned using it for IVF.

Himawarigirl · 26/01/2025 10:59

I interpreted Frankie talking about being a mum as grasping at a straw of what is the one thing she felt she could swear on or appeal to Leanne with to prove she wasn’t lying. In the NZ version (no spoiler) one of them swears on the lives of her children that’s she’s a faithful and it’s like a magic thing to say, because they all feel that lying about that is somehow beyond the pale. Although I see from comments that Wilf did exactly that in series 1!

ninja · 26/01/2025 11:03

I thought when Charlotte said about her body not being very good at making babies it was quite moving and it seemed very genuine

ninja · 26/01/2025 11:05

In a different way from her upset at Frankie crossing her demeanour

Whilst I would have loved to have seen Minah and/or Freddie win, I actually liked all of the final four, and Leanne and Jake needed the money more than Franke Rowan Plouden (google her - she is both wealthy and quite famous) or posh boy (ie from rich family) Alexander. It was a very enjoyable series and I am looking forward to the celebrity version.

I agree, I thought it was nice to see a working class mum winning rather than a very privileged man for once (and Jake too) ;) Alexander is a now a consultant, and having worked in a management consultancy , I can safely say he definitely won't need the money. He did seem nice, don't get me wrong but I don't think he played the game especially well.

The Seer bit was rubbish as it just cost Charlotte the game, I didn't love her as a traitor but as traitors go, she was a really good one.

Alexander never claimed to 'need' the money - he was going to given it to charity.

Frankie never claimed to be poor in need of the cash (I can't even remember what she said she would do with it at the dinner party but I'm guessing it was for uni fees etc for her kids)

The whole worthiness of the winner (based on their want/need of the money) is totally irrelevant to me. It's a game - the winner or winners take the money. The rules aren't the poorest person wins or the one who will use it in the most worthy way wins. It would be a very dull show if 25 people got taken to castle pitched their sob story and the most heart string tugging one got the money.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 26/01/2025 12:01

dont forget Alexander wanted the winnings for a charity @Bloodycatswakingmeuponasaturday

Samcro · 26/01/2025 12:29

i don't think what they want the money for is important.
just because someone gives a good sob story, or doesn't shouldn't matter.
its traitors they could be lying lol

lolly792 · 26/01/2025 12:47

The reasons they'll use the winnings for (or say they'll use them for!) are irrelevant. It's a game.

I wish Alexander and Jake had won because they seemed to genuinely recognise that it's a game. They've all signed up to it voluntarily. They didn't make it bitchy or personal.

Leanne was awful the way she'd get angry and insulted at anyone daring to question her status as a faithful, yet she was quite happy to accuse others. It came across as bullying and aggressive.

Frankie was just wet, got everything wrong pretty much for most of the game. Ok she didn't choose to become the Seer (although she could have chucked her gold coins in Alexander's box if she wanted!) but the way she seemed to be personally affronted when Charlotte gave a different version of what happened at the Seer table was laughable. What choice did Charlotte have? Did Frankie really expect her not to continue playing the game?

Frankie using 'as a mother' to Leanne was awful too. And as for 'I don't like drama', ffs woman you clearly do.

I can't say I particularly warmed to Charlotte but at least she played the game and only became overly emotional after the Seer thing when she was hanging on a thread to remain in the game. Leanne and Frankie used emotions in quite an unpleasant way and instead of watching, observing and using their nous. Not good role models for women!
From that respect it would have been amazing if Minah had won because she really did play a strong game, didn't become emotional or bitchy or crying at the drop of a hat

WinterCosiness · 26/01/2025 15:11

I wonder if the seer twist would have worked better if both the seer's identify, and the identity of their chosen revealer was kept secret from the rest of the group? The fact the rest of the group knew it was Frankie and Charlotte respectfully made it impossible for both of them, and it was very unfair.
