Dolly had 2 children. Her first child was called Antony. She gave birth to her second child in series 2 episode 8. Marlene had one child and she was horrible to violet in series 4.

Just finished Series 7 whilst doing the ironing and I'm in pieces - and the ironing's all damp again.
But I'm on nights this weekend so I'll probably have caught you all up by Monday morning!

My mum gave birth to her first 4 children in the 1950s East End. She spoke very rarely of her experiences, including one stillbirth, although she did open up to me a little when I (and my first) had a rather traumatic time during delivery.
So I suspect my frequent tears aren't only for the storylines but for part of my mum's life I never really knew about since I was something of a surprise in her 40s.

I always cry when Barbara dies.

The baftas are on the 16th of Febrary so ctm won't be on.

The exits were so memorable in the beginning. Jenny lost her boyfriend. Cynthia had her breakdown. Patsy left with Delia. Chummy went to the countryside for her son. And of course Barbara.

Now they seem to leave off screen.

Exactly. I can remember the early exits clearly and i was touched by the storylines. I still cannot watch the episodes when synthia had her breakdown and when barbara died without crying. It was sad when jenny's boyfriend died but she did marry Philip worth in real life. In some ways i am glad that the story had a conclusion.

Starting late cos of the ruddy football... Just don't bother with all the drivel they talk about.. 🙄🙄

Thinking exactly the same. Was rushing about with dinner so I would be all sat down and settled for 8pm

I was only 5 in 1970 but I remember the piles and piles of rubbish in bags.
