Ooooooh. I haven't heard this was on and by chance came across this thread and it starts today.

I'm going to watch it purely for Joanna Lumley as she's a fabulous actress whatever she does.

Hopefully I won't be disappointed!

The scene when Meg fell down the bus stairs was hilarious. However the best scene was when she crashed Amanda's Christmas tree. The actress who played her is amazing.
I agree about the celebrity chef character. It does create a bit of comedy with Amanda so desperate to be liked by her but she's really not a nice person.

I've watched the first two episodes and really enjoyed them, but, literal as always, I'm struggling to understand why Anne has moved from Chiswick to Harlesden?

It's good. Not quite the same level as Motherland but I'm enjoying it.

I’ll be watching (didn’t realise it was all on iPlayer already, might stick the first one on when I’m in the bath!) but I loved Amanda and Julia together, so snippy and frosty and fake and angry. Liz and Kevin were my favourites though and I think I’ll miss them.
However i’ll give it a go and no doubt watch them all.

Like when Amanda thought Anne had worked at Greggs when actually she'd worked at Glaxo as head of product development 😂.
Haven't watched yet, but looking forward to it now.

Watched them all today and thought it was excellent. Stands on its own and isn’t trying to be an extension of motherland. Lumley a fab character and nice to see her relationship with Amanda developing but not forced. Anne great but I don’t understand why she has downsized, esp if back to work. Love all the supporting characters and overall, very impressed! Will enjoy watching time and again

Watched first two and loved them. Good comedy and unforced. Jlumley calling her carer her PA

Acton and Chiswick are next to each other. Chiswick is much posher than Acton and where celebrities live (Ant and Dec).

yes! Between this and some of the rom coms coming out in Feb- Bridget Jones, Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrel’s film and a few others, it seems like comedy lovers are covered!
