New thread for Episode 9!

And now (no expense spared)... here are ScruffMuffin's very unofficial Traitors Bingo Cards. No expense spared! Feel free to pick a colour (white, blue, pink, green or yellow) and play along tonight. We'll be playing here! Of course, you could use the excellent chart already supplied by another poster on the previous thread instead.

HOUSE RULES
If you hear something very similar to, but not identical to, the words on your chosen card, the other people in the room get to decide if it's close enough. If you're watching on your own, mark as you see fit.

Have fun!

We’re definitely going to need another thread before Wednesday. Should there be something in the title about Frankie not being Freddie’s mum?

Before I watched this season as a first timer I went back and watched seasons 1 and 2 first
I've seen comments here how a traitor basically pointed the finger at another traitor but I can remember anything like that happening!
Was it season 1 or 2?!

Also end of season two, if the girl had used her head and logic properly she would have never picked who she did. It was crazy!

Mollie was unfortunately blinded by her friendship (infatuation?) with Harry.

Who was this?

Come on, own up, got to be someone on here!

Francesca sounds fab a coastal house, like a boat perched on a cliff with x4 boys!

Wonder why on show?

Probably for publicity

ViolinsPlayGentlyOn · 20/01/2025 07:05

I wonder what the balance is between people who were approached and people who auditioned “cold” this season. A lot of them seem to be fame / media adjacent

Someone on here said a friend of theirs was a vicar who was approached. Also someone pointed out that Livi and Mollie from the last season (I think it was) share the same modelling agency.

Next time, “Freddie isn’t Frankie’s Mum!”?

I’m sure it should rain more in Scotland.

Same with the drama, Shetland. Must take ages to film avoiding rain!

exactly, when on earth do they film this, all the outside scenes in the beautiful sunshine

myplace · 20/01/2025 08:13

I wondered whether they have them all lined up, so can choose the task according to the weather.

I even thought it might be edited to look like a day when it’s actually been done over a couple, but the article posted earlier said it’s all done an episode a day, as it appears. But if breakfast takes that long, then it’s a long day!

I'm sure it is weather dependent. The inside tasks su ch as the church one last year are probably on rainy days

I am watching the New Zealand traitors which is brilliant, because the contestants are much more clever, duplicitous, cunning and strategic. It’s riveting to watch. This UK series is sooo dull by comparison. It’s boring to watch influencers who don’t seem to have been picked for their brain power and therefore just hysterically point the finger indiscriminately at anyone. BBC take note…

I will definitely watch the NZ version. That sounds great.

When Riley left, in the diary room, he said it was a shame he was leaving so soon as he had much more to show. Like they say when they leave the apprentice or I'm a Celebrity. There's a definite sense with this season that people are in it for TV exposure over winning the game.

Suzuki76 · 20/01/2025 08:57

NZ series 1 is brilliant. Although it seems to be filmed in a very basic 1970s bungalow.

What, no nasty Scottish Baronial castle with twee-Gothic set interventions? Grin

Though I occasionally fantasise that the raised round in the middle of the round table (which I assume has cameras so that all faces of the participants can be filmed) contains poison (or even sleep-inducing) darts that can be used to swiftly terminate one of the more annoying players mid-'yourself' if enough other players covertly tap a button under the table.

Imagine.

Leanne: 'I mean, why am I still here? Am I being shielded by someone I'm close -- agh!'

Leanne slumps down on the table and has a lovely 40 winks. Whoever is sitting next to her gets to vote on her behalf.

MrsPeterHarris · 20/01/2025 14:42

That would be amazing @Sissix Grin

The West coast of Scotland has its best weather in May. It is the best time to go - rarely rains and no midgies until the end of May.

July / August are often pretty wet.

I lived up that way (but further South and West) for many years.

Something to look forward to when we retire!

Maybe Paula Wilcox is Frankie's mum? 😆

Yes she really reminds me of Paula Wilcox.

ninja · 22/01/2025 22:40

I thought Joe came across ok on uncloaked, more self awareness than I would have expected. He was clearly more relaxed when not trying to traitor hunt so I guess we missed the light hearted side of him.

Do they have one more banishment when they know if they're a traitor and no more after that? They always seem to under estimate how many traitors there are despite evidence.
