I’m surprised at how nasty Leanne got. It was not a good look, and it was very immature. I’m not rooting for her at all now.

I thought Leanne was turning into Lauren Cooper (Catherine Tate) - whatever! Bothered!! 😂😂😂

livingonaprairie · 16/01/2025 06:23

Something has been bugging me and I don't think it's been discussed here (sorry if I missed it). At the deathmatch when it's Alexander's turn in round 2, you clearly see a shot of Fozia holding the life card in her right hand. Alexander then clearly says he wants the card in Fozia's left hand ("your left card"). Then they reveal cards and Alexander has the life card! So was the just bad editing (a shot of Fozia from the first round of the game) or some production interference? I know it's irrelevant now as the game has moved on, but it's been bugging me all week!

CaveMum · 16/01/2025 06:31

@samarrange Claudia has said in interviews that the Traitors are chosen by her and the production team together. They do the on camera interview for our benefit but it’s a group decision.

I hope Alexander isn’t banished tomorrow. He’s a good player and will make it more interesting. It’s a shame a Minah is sticking to the “sisterhood” thing as things having a male traitor would mix it up.

If I was Minah I’d ‘discover’ the painting now. Everyone saw the table and death game setting which is identical near enough to that picture so would explain why she was drawn to the picture. Then have someone else spot the names. Would be easy to assume Linda has written as a known traitor. That blows Anna’s drinks theory about the water and takes the heat off Minah.

Jack is going to be trusted and thought of as a faithful now but someone could plant the seed that he is an original traitor who framed Linda from the start. I know it didn’t happen but I could have been brilliant gameplay…. So he was picked as traitor and immediate implicated Linda for her head turn but at that time she was faithful which he knew. No one was fully behind banishing her in the earlier weeks. He played long game and recruited her at a later point when more were ready to name her so she’d look like a traitor all along and it paints his as an original faithful.

I think she should ask Charlotte (assuming she accepts Traitor role) to pretend to spot the names on the picture. If Minah does it, it might look suspicious as she was the one accused of the drinks thing.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 16/01/2025 06:57

On Uncloaked Linda says something like Jake guessing she was a traitor from the off unnerved her and made her self conscious.

YesYesKitten · 16/01/2025 07:00

I loved Fozia, or Foz Foz as we call her.

I couldn't believe how Leon didn't comfort her at all.

Do you think Fozia would have comforted Leon if she'd won?

I didn't like Fozia, thought she was quite rude and abrasive, especially with Linda. I thought she'd change my mind on Uncloaked but no, still very rude.

I know, she kept saying Well Done to him and he completely blanked her. He didn't come across well in that moment.

I really wanted Mina to try to recruit Leanne, just to see her face when she realised she'd have to either become a traitor or be murdered. She came across like a school bully last night, she thinks she's the queen bee in there. I hope she's out soon.

happinessischocolate · 16/01/2025 07:10

Not sure if I missed something in last nights task instructions but why were they taking so long asking Anna and Alexander what happened? Surely there's plenty of time for that later - go get the coffins 🤦‍♀️

The task was hilarious though. Anna shaking and acting like she's been the coffin all night, Alexander nonchalant about being in a coffin in the middle of a lake and then them thinking that the 3rd coffin was buried 6 feet under 😂😂😂

Yes, she would have. Evidenced by the fact she was so gracious towards him in defeat. She also stuck up for Kas on her first round table, and proved herself to be a firm but fair type. Very ethical and genuine.
Fozia was great. I don't share your opinion of her at all. But, you're entitled to it, and we all see different things in different people.
Fozia wasn't rude to Linda. She called her out as a traitor - which she was! Linda was awful to Fozia with her 'get over it' comment. I liked Linda overall. But that comment alone made me glad she's finally been caught as a traitor.
Fozia was astute, and would have been an asset to the faithful if she'd stayed longer. C'est la vie.

Leanne wanted to be a traitor, apparently it's on her Instagram, but I dont think Minah wants another Armani bossing her around 😂

PuppyMonkey · 16/01/2025 07:20

Linda was doomed from that first moment Claudia walked in and said: “Traitors!” And she looked up in response. And Jake saw it. Grin

I don’t drink on a school night but on Friday I’m definitely doing a drink-along-a Myself Yourself game. I’ll be slaughtered.

That's quite a good point. Whilst Linda was the hilariously bad traitor, when you factor in the fact she was accused right from the start, for making the mistake of looking at Claudia when she started talking, which I would do traitor or not, she's actually done well.

The crying at breakfast was funny, and even if she was genuinely closer to Livi than others realised it was way too over the top 😂

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 16/01/2025 07:40

I'm so glad it's on again tonight - don't have to wait to see how Charlotte reacts or how it plays out.

It's so fascinating watching the interactions and how people react differently. It's also fascinating how differently people perceive the same thing - especially on these threads as it's not edited reactions like what we see with the contestants.

Speaking of editing, wouldn't you love to why theu took 40 minutes to find Anna, get her out the coffin and have a casual chat with her before heading off to find the other two in less than 20 minutes

Loved how they didn't comment on Leon's lack of shaking and upset when he climbed out of the tomb like a pissed off vampire, but Alexander's lack a drama made him suspicious.

Has anyone mentioned Francesca's comment about her footwear while running , was it 'inappropriate leopard print ,sling backs' as she bounded down to pull the boat in. Very funny and very odd choice to wear for a challenge. I dont understand the comments about the contestants being illogical about who us the traitor this time. Every series has been the same and that's the interesting thing for me, to watch human nature play out. Even when they know there are traitors ,if they like someone or build an alliance the suspicion is gone. It becomes largely a popularity contest in my eyes and that's why the emotions become amplified and they seem to forget the point of the game.

Totally bizarre choice of shoes for a task! Maybe she thought the scene of the crime meant they would be inside.

Doesn’t it say something about the game that, not only was Linda not a very good traitor, she was under suspicion right from the start by an annoyingly gobby and tenacious fellow-contestant, yet she still survived into episode seven?

I mean, I think that gives the lie to the idea that the production team are looking for certain qualities that would make ‘a good traitor’, like an ability to lie convincingly, when they allocate the traitor roles. I know some former contestant said that part of the interview involved lying in response to questioning. Linda can’t have been good at that, so she was clearly cast for other reasons.

I mean, even leaving aside that the producers presumably can’t have predicted who would sacrifice themselves on the train, someone like the appalling Leanne would probably be a very cutthroat, efficient traitor, and people would be wary of confronting her at the round table because she’s like an attack dog at the mildest suspicion. But they already had an over-confident, gobby, aggressive traitor in Armani, plus the interesting sister angle to boot, so they clearly wanted a different ‘type’.

I bet the production team is thrilled that they created an unlikely cult figure in Linda.

Pumpkincozynights · 16/01/2025 07:51

Thinking about it I would murder Jake now. Whoever he suggests as a traitor will be taken seriously and that could be Minah.
I would also, if asked who I thought the traitor/s are, say I think they must ve male. Let the seeds sow and then mabe throw shade on Joe.
I’d murder Joe soon anyway if he doesn’t get banished.
I’ve watched all series of the Traitors and all the foreign ones too ( currently watching the NZ one). I’ve never wanted the traitors to win in any of the shows until now. I was gutted Linda was outed and I really want Minah to win.

I thought Francesca’s shoe choice was deeply weird, too! I mean, even if she’d thought the task was indoors, we’ve seen them change into outdoor gear before after breakfast, so presumably there’s the opportunity to keep a change of clothes and shoes somewhere at the castle? In fairness, she appeared to be right at the front of the mission a lot, running down to the boat, dashing around misreading Roman numerals in the graveyard etc, so her slingbacks didn’t hamper her…

I missed the significance of eight because DS was talking — I remember something about suns, but what suns were they counting?

EdithBond · 16/01/2025 07:52

@TetHouse In some ways, it’s a game that rewards incompetence. Often the Faithful who make it to the end are the more gullible ones, who haven’t got a scooby who the Traitors are. That’s why they’re kept.

Anyone who appears clever (e.g. Kas) is either banished or murdered. I think Fozia would likely have been murdered before the end as she was outspoken and smart.

Pumpkincozynights · 16/01/2025 07:55

On uncloaked Linda did say she didn’t really hear Claudia say the word Traitors. She was concentrating so hard on wanting to not be picked that when Claudia touched her, her mind was racing. She said she turned her head towards Claudia only because Claudia started speaking.
I don’t believe we as viewers would know who the traitors are if we weren’t told. I’ve watched The Mole which is similar to this but the viewers are in the dark as much as the contestants and it is very difficult to pick out the Mole.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 16/01/2025 07:56

Loved Linda in it. Whilst she wasn't very good at being a traitor she was just having fun, and the fact she didnt think she was a mastermind and fabulous tactician made her, to me, very likable.

Think it'll be tough for Minah now. The difference in how the sexes are treated is against her now. She doesn't have the advantage of having adoring young fans, hanging off her every word, like the male traitors did in the previous series.

Pumpkincozynights · 16/01/2025 07:57

Look at how people get away with things at work. Someone popular says something and it’s taken as gospel due to herd mentality and the power of persuasion.

Lentilweaver · 16/01/2025 07:59

Minah really deserves to win but she won't. I also really like Alexander but nobody trusts him because he isn't weeping and saying " I vote for yourself".
God, won't it be terrible if whiny Joe wins?

Yes the mole puts you in the same position as the faithfuls in Traitors, my opinion on who the mole is will jump from episode to episode but the mole has to sabotage tasks so as numbers dwell it starts to become easier to guess, the difficult part with traitors is that they all have to work together to win the money.

They have started to try making it more like the mole this year with the traitors able to prevent people winning shields but for the most part the traitors have been too scared of outing themselves to actually do any sabotaging.

I loved Fozia too, she was really funny on Uncloaked.

I agree about Leon, and couldn’t believe he didn’t console Fozia at all, when she was so gracious to him. So I’ve gone off him completely.

I know everyone loves Minah but she’s starting to get on my nerves with her constant ‘face in palms’ pose! It seems like a few are suspicious of her, so I personally hope she goes soon. Although admittedly she’s been brilliant so far.
