That's the only time Livi has really said anything though.

Again, why is Livi annoying? Since getting Elen banished, which she was upset for being wrong about afterwards, she's not really done or said anything.

Yes, it might have been one time, but she was a driving force & influencing other people about Elen. She is definitely not under the radar & if anything could be at risk of banishment in the future as her previous behaviour could come across as being a traitor due to being so upset about banishing Elen, yes she genuinely felt bad & it was genuine emotion - but in this game it doesn’t look good for her as she’s made herself known, unlike Anna or Leon for example who are currently under the radar.
I haven’t said she is annoying though?

I’m confused as to why you might think Maia is irritating? She’s nothing like her sister.

I haven't said anywhere that Maiai is annoying but I think it was Lindor who said Livi was, and some posters seem to think they have got Livi and Maia mixed up.

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/01/2025 15:30

@xsquared - I answered the pp who asked me to explain why I find Livi irritating just a few posts back. Here is what I said again

"She's done a lot of crying! She voted for someone who got kicked out, cried about it to the point of the older women having to comfort her, and then started crying about it again the next day. Also she seems to be the worst for saying "I really love you but I'm voting for you, sorry". I think she's trying to get through by being the nice but vulnerable girl, it's quite transparent"

I'm not sure why I'm getting such a grilling about this! Grin

Xpost.

I take the whole 'under the radar' thing with a great big pinch of salt.

We are only seeing the narrative that the production team and editors want us to see - and they have the benefit of knowing what happens at the end. There will be a whole lot more going on that we haven't been shown.

Serriadh · 05/01/2025 17:44

I think what is guaranteed to turn the groupthink against you is any perception you’re “up
yourself”. There’s then a lot of unconscious bias that goes into who is deemed to be “up themself” by the others. Elen is a quieter thoughtful personality, doing a show entirely in her second language. Very easy in that scenario to come across as standoffish or thinking you’re better than others. Doctors (academic or medical) are almost axiomatically up themselves, especially if they are also POC. Ariana was a gobby dominant non-white women.

I think the traitors should recruit the vicar. She’s clearly a quietly strong personality, willing to play the game, but might baulk at the final betrayal so the last other traitor can stab her in the back in the final. Throw Linda under the bus at some point and let the faithful believe they’ve found their older strong woman traitor.

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/01/2025 18:02

Excellent thinking about Lisa the priest as a traitor! What a good idea.

ViolinsPlayGentlyOn · 05/01/2025 18:03

I’m actually quite surprised Linda was chosen as a traitor over Lisa

AppleKatie · 05/01/2025 18:07

I assume the producers would think the vicar will get found out as a vicar (and I think also, potentially a parent of one of the others) which might be enough going on so better tv if she’s banished for all that and it turns out she’s not a traitor.

dapsnotplimsolls · 05/01/2025 18:08

It'll be hilarious if Linda makes it to the end!

Moonlightdust · 05/01/2025 18:21

ViolinsPlayGentlyOn · 05/01/2025 13:41

Yes, I didn’t understand why some of them seemed so outraged about it. I thought it was a good (and slightly amusing) response from Kasim highlighting how ridiculous Jake’s “logic” was

Exactly. This generation baffles me with how they perceive things at times.

marshmallowmix · 05/01/2025 18:34

So pleased Armani gone she was soooo irritating

UnNiddeRides · 05/01/2025 18:37

I’d like to see the Irish edition with Siobhán McSweeney!

They don't make Traitors of people where it might get politicised or inflame certain kinds of tension to see a member of that group lying and betraying and enjoying it. Like a priest.

In series 1, Amos - also a handsome POC doctor, said he didn't want to be a traitor because as a doctor, he didn't want his patients thinking he was untrustworthy.

I wonder whether for similar reasons, Kas didn't get picked to be a traitor?

Mandoidi · 05/01/2025 20:34

Choccyscofffy · 05/01/2025 12:06

Yea, that’s true as well. The first banishment of Yin for being too ‘intellectual’ was sad too.

Yin was murdered, wasn't she?

Ah sorry, wrong term, murder.

Is this happening or are you manifesting this? If the latter I'll join in. She would be awesome.

But then why go on the telly at all? Particularly a show called The Traitors?

just nonsense.

It’s been announced, not sure when/if it will be viewable in the U.K. but I would watch it all day long.

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/01/2025 21:02

The contestants get to choose whether they want to be a traitor or not. At least at the start of the game.

Quite

The speed with which they go from ep1 : I’d love to be a traitor, I’d sell my own granny up the river for a fiver, it’s only a game, isn’t it brilliant to lie and deceive.

Cut to Ep2+ ; Traitors are awful people with awful moral flaws who behave despicably and deserve all they get

it’s enough to give you whiplash 😂

JewelleryCat · 05/01/2025 21:03

I think I’d be a Faithful. I’m not a good liar lol

I wonder if they would ever pick someone who said in the interview that they really didn’t want to be a Traitor? Not sure what would happen if someone refused to take the oath.

For the experience? The chance to win money? To see if you can win as a Faithful? Most people will be Faithful, you don't have to be a Traitor for it to be worth playing!
