I agree. If they try to recruit him, I’m pretty sure he’d refuse. He’s an intelligent guy he would know they’d just be using him as a fall guy - unfortunately either way you look at it - he’s out.

I think he’s probably worked out he can’t survive to the end as a faithful or a traitor - there is just too much suspicion on him.

Once he goes - people will start focusing on Joe & Charlotte as they have been the most vocal on Kas.

I do think there maybe another family link there, but it’s hard to tell between who. I do find it a bit surprising Linda is still saying not to murder Jake yet as I think enough time has passed for her to do so…

Oh. Someone said they found her irritating and I can’t see why because we’ve not seen much of her.

I am afraid I find Livi's lip filler irritating.

Livi and Joe are irritating me enormously at this stage. I think Tyler probably thought Enough. Already. with so much crying. Yes, it was her sister but, come on, it was yet another tiresome (sympathy seeking?) outburst from someone who seems to have forgotten what show they applied for only 3/4 days in!

I think the poster means Maia is irritating her and has got the names mixed up.

If it‘s not unconscious bias then there is an element of conscious bias.

The comment about doctor by day, killer by night was just a foil for the white men to single out Kasim as the sole Asian guy.

I think Kas and Elen have been unfairly singled out. Elen was clever, young and pretty but didn’t fit in with the other women her age with hair extensions, lip filler and layers of make up.
Kas is lovely intelligent guy who again doesn’t really fit in with the other men. I agree that this show always shows up the unconscious bias towards POC, especially brown men.

It‘a good it shows up the unconscious bias but also frustrating because once again it’s POC being held back with reasons such as ‘you’re too nice’.

No doubt there will be unconscious bias at play, because we all have unconscious bias. But what I see in this group is more an anti-intellectual bias and false logic:

1. You are intelligent in an academic, analytical way.
2. Therefore you would be a good traitor.
3. Therefore you are a traitor.

Also the other people who could potentially fall into the ‘job = makes a good traitor’ have been either lying - or lying by omission - about their occupation (e.g., army woman and vicar could also come under that umbrella but the players don’t know that about them so can’t make the link).

On that note, I don't know why people were reeling about Kasim saying the name Harold Shipman, Alex in particular.
Gavin & Stacey, a comedy, made a thing of the characters having the surnames Shipman and West. There's a character called Peter Sutcliffe ffs! 😏 The general public seems to cope with that.

Also Kasim had a point. I liked him even more after he said it.

Yea, that’s true as well. The first banishment of Yin for being too ‘intellectual’ was sad too.

Yes, exactly, Kasim said it in response to being told he could be a doctor by day, killer by night, but instead of reeling at that they reeled at Kasim responding with the Shipman reference.

That’s different. Making a joke about it in a comedy it fine. Likening a doctor to Shipman is grim.

I see what you mean though. Kas brought up the name Shipman.

Hmm, some might say using serial killers' names in a programme for comedy effect is rather tasteless (not me to be clear. I'm not bothered in the slightest). Kasim brought up the Shipman reference whilst defending himself against the frankly ridiculous reasoning that as he's a doctor he could be saving lives by day and murdering people at night. As if that's what doctors are known to do!

What? Why would you say that? I know who Maia, Livi and Armani are thank you.

I suspect some of the younger ones might not have understood the Shipman reference (it was more than 20 years ago) but I thought it was witty of Kasim to come up with that under pressure. He was quite correctly saying how ludicrous Jake's argument against him was.

I guess people are confused about why you find Livi irritating.

What is it about Livi tthat's annoys you? Se's been pretty much under the radar.

Yes, I didn’t understand why some of them seemed so outraged about it. I thought it was a good (and slightly amusing) response from Kasim highlighting how ridiculous Jake’s “logic” was

Armani yes - but I think Maia has been pretty much under the radar? She seems very quiet & has only been outspoken about Freddie & secured her sister being outed as a traitor.

Livi was one of the outspoken & driving forces against Elen, I don’t really think she’s been under the radar at all.

Not like Anna or Leon - they are doing very well going unnoticed in my opinion.

That's the only time Livi has really said anything though.

Again, why is Livi annoying? Since getting Elen banished, which she was upset for being wrong about afterwards, she's not really done or said anything.

I’m surprised people are saying that Livi is under the radar. She has been one of the most prominent ones. There are definitely others like Anna, Francesca and Lisa that have had less air time in comparison
