I feel like the show is very female dominated so far, maybe because there are three female traitors, maybe it’s to counteract last year when it was dominated by Paul and Harry in particular.

The coverage of the contestants is also very patchy. Too much of the same people, you’d never even know that Lisa, Leon and Anna were in the show, let alone Livi, Freddie and Leanne… plus Linda only gets a look in as she’s a traitor.

Joe is an utter clown, yet he thinks he’s really clever. Dan using his autism to justify being a prick is frustrating. Kas has really had a raw deal, they’ve singled him out and been nasty to him. I don’t think it’s unconscious bias at all, they just don’t seem to like people who are clever (and nice).

I think the railway ppl will come in as contestants then the traitors will recruit kaz and he will be banished (thrown under bus).

OldFred · 05/01/2025 07:55

I keep referring back to RT contestant profiles because I can't put a face to half of the names still!
Agree with Francesca having "one of those faces", but thought the same with Natheran.
I also skip the breakfast shenanigans - gets old very quick.
Harry & His Earring were worthy winners last year 👏

xsquared · 05/01/2025 08:35

If Kas gets banished in the next episode, which I think he will, it's Charlotte who will be feeling incredibly guilty, I think.
She put his name down in the previous episode, and said it was because he was too nice. She has also seen the way he was treated by the men at the round table so she bears some responsibility for throwing his name out there.

MabelMora · 05/01/2025 08:40

Tyler also said Kasim is 'definitely' a traitor because Armani said he 100% wasn't 😆. I don't want him to go but I do want to see their faces when they realise they've ballsed up.

Lisa said (of Freddie) something like “if he’s murdered it’ll be literally like I’ve lost a son”. Probably the usual hyperbole about someone you’ve just met, but I didn’t think that would be her style.

Didn't she also say "You could be my grandson!" when they met at the station and she asked his age? The two comments together have made me wonder too if there is a link between them...

The reason we don’t see much of some people is that there are so many people (18 now I think) and only an hour. If something gets brought up at the round table, the way someone acted in the task or a conversation someone had then we have to see that.

I agree about Dan. Autism is not a free pass to being a dick.

I think Kas and Elen have been unfairly singled out. Elen was clever, young and pretty but didn’t fit in with the other women her age with hair extensions, lip filler and layers of make up.
Kas is lovely intelligent guy who again doesn’t really fit in with the other men. I agree that this show always shows up the unconscious bias towards POC, especially brown men.

I don’t think this will happen.

The three new people will arrive and become contestants.

The traitors will recruit a new traitor before the next roundtable.

They will recruit Kas knowing he will be banished.

Kas will get banished and have to say he’s a traitor.

The faithfuls will think they’ve done really well and found an original traitor but Kas won’t be able to tell them he was previously a faithful.

Faithfuls will get lulled into false sense of security.

Linda and Minah are safe.

OldFred · 05/01/2025 08:59

I thought Elen was beautiful.

Yes, that recruitment of a fall guy happened in another country's Traitors and the faithful kept saying 'I knew all along she was a traitor!'. Infuriating. They must have felt so stupid watching back!

harrietm87 · 05/01/2025 09:00

Agree with lots of the comments on this thread.

Kas seems nice and has been unfairly singled out (by the group, not the traitors), I’m sure due to unconscious bias because of his race and/or intelligence.

Similarly I don’t think Elen was liked because she was so pretty.

Dan is autistic which I think explains some of how he has come across, especially in the argument with Jake. He had a very black and white view of how the game must be played (=everyone out for themselves at all times) but it’s not really like that.

Joe seems smug and I really dislike his behaviour so far. Sadly I think he will blend in with Dan/Jake/Tyler and not fall under any suspicion for a while.

Alex is obviously trans. Seems sensible and has worked really hard in the challenges so I hope stays in longer.

Leon, Anna, Frankie and the vicar have hardly been in it so far! Loving Minah who is playing a blinder.

Kas doesn't have to accept though. He knows he's going to get banished anyway, so why not just refuse the offer? I would in his shoes just to see the looks on the other Faithfuls' faces (but I'm petty!)

Ah interesting - I didn’t know he gets a choice?

Yes if that’s the case he 100% should say no!!

But he will probably say they think I’m a traitor anyway so I might as well.

All this is very likely. As pp said, happened in another country series.

And it was so annoying watching peoole say " I knew she was a traitor".
I think Kas may combust!

I thought Elen was beautiful.

She was. A real natural beauty. She did a good looking wistful wrapped in a blanket sitting on the wall. It’s such a shame she was banished because she didn’t fit in.

MabelMora · 05/01/2025 09:06

Yes, he doesn't have to accept. I'm sure I saw someone else in the past say at their banishment, 'I was recruited, I am a traitor,' or am I imagining that 🤔.

NonPlayerCharacter · 05/01/2025 09:07

There comes a point where if you get recruited, it's purely so the Traitors can cover themselves by throwing you to the Faithful because they're that sure you're about to get banished. In that situation you've got so little chance of saving yourself that you might as well refuse and let the Faithful know they tried to recruit you. It's probably the closest thing you can get to self sacrifice within the game, depending on how much you care about the Faithfuls winning after you get kicked.

TheDowagerCountessofPembroke · 05/01/2025 09:09

I wonder if the traitors will meet the returning train 3 first (or be told they are coming back) and either get the opportunity, or be told they have to, recruit from them.

Could someone out and out lie and say at breakfast, 'I got a letter - they tried to recruit me but I said no!' leaving the traitors dying to say er no we didn't!!! but obviously can't say how they know that, and the more gullible faithful thinking, oh well, they must be a faithful after all if the traitors tried to recruit them.

cartagenagina · 05/01/2025 09:18

I’m thinking the next mission will be related to the “Train People “

MillyGoat · 05/01/2025 09:18

I disagree about unconscious bias towards POC in the show. It’s a lazy explanation that essentially absolves someone of poor judgement.

There was a brown man in the 2023 final and in the 2024 final. If unconscious bias were the case then Kas would be gone by now, they’ve had plenty of opportunities. Nathan was the first one out, a white man. The only reason Kas is under suspicion is because Charlotte raised a question around him early on and it’s pretty much impossible to counter accusations at this stage, no matter who you are… especially when the traitors join pile on as well. Look at Elen.

I think there is definitely unconscious bias towards older people but not POC, or people with disabilities… of which there was again one in both finals.

Older contestants have been some of the earliest or most commonly murdered, generally as canon fodder or “distractions”.

Other than Ant last year (the commando guy who wasn’t exactly old)… all the finalists have been young.

I predict the same will happen this year… average ange of finalists will be aboot 28 and therein lies the unconscious bias imho.

TBH I noticed the Scottish accent more than the trans aspect - I don't think that's a genuine Scottish accent, or at least its being very exaggerated (I'm a Scot)

Nah that’s a Scottish accent
No one would be mad enough to make up a different accent to appear more trustworthy surely …. Haha

If he had any sense, he will decline as he will want to be banished as a faithful.

Which brown man was in which 2023 final?

My own comment on brown men being seen as " sneaky" was after having watched all the series, Oz, NZ, and US plus UK.

There is also a bias against intellectualism which may coincide with this, since a lot of the brown men and women tend to be highly educated.

awaynboilyurheid · 05/01/2025 09:28

Think Minah playing a great game , so glad Armani was banished she had zero self awareness .
Linda’s days are numbered.
Feel for Kas since the other men have convinced themselves he’s a traitor simply because he’s a doctor! Like others at least when he goes they will
all ( hopefully) feel very stupid in their certainty but again they may just jump on to the next clueless certainty!

xsquared · 05/01/2025 09:29

In the UK 2023 final, it was Wilf, Aaron, Hannah and Meryl.
