Carry on discussion for the 3rd series of The Traitors

There was a point in another country's series where it was down to 3, with 1 Traitor, and that Traitor had one of the Faithful completely in their pocket, absolutely suckered, so a win was pretty much inevitable. Was STILL able to force recruit at that point. So at the 11th hour, 3 people left with 2 Faithful, they were allowed to make it 2 Traitors so the remaining Faithful went from having a small chance to having no chance at all, impossible.

Like I said, I know it's an unfair game to start with, but this sort of thing takes the piss.

I disagree! I warmed to her a lot on Uncloaked and found her quite refreshing.

Fair enough we all like different types of people. Personally someone with a brash, “look at me” personality is someone I would actively avoid in real life

Yes, I do know what you mean, and she definitely wouldn’t necessarily be someone I’d gravitate towards in real life! She just came over a bit better in Uncloaked I thought, able to laugh at herself anyway. I often find people seem better on Uncloaked though! I’m definitely finding the contestants less likeable so far though, on the surface at least anyway.

I've just caught up on the first 3 episodes, loving the series so far. Polite request to @witchycat2 to please not include any contestant names in future thread titles. Many people have to wait until the weekend to catch up, and this thread showed up in trending (giving away that Armani was still in the game at the point it was posted).

My thoughts are:

I like Leanne, Minah and Francesca.

I don't like Tyler, I think he's actually nasty all this nice lad who bird watches malarkey. He gives me the creeps.

I think Minah is playing a cracking game so far.

I really hope there is another Diane type reveal, as that was my fav moment from last season "Paul could never be my son....but Ross is"

I agree re: Tyler - he’s trying too hard with the old soul shtick- randomly bringing up that he likes bird watching and northern soul and crosswords like he’s trying to be quirky and different - they aren’t that uncommon hobbies! He is trying hard to find the traitors though and he did clock onto Armani earlier than others though.

In trying to track down the possible relationships in there:

Lisa - mother of Tyler

Francesca - mother of Freddie

Linda - mother of Alexander

Thoughts?

I think there could be a relationship between Linda and either Dan or Freddie.

I don’t think there’s any more revelations about relationships I think we’d have known by now

I noticed that Linda wears a wedding ring and referred to a daughter-in-law (“my DIL has this coffee machine”).

Lisa said (of Freddie) something like “if he’s murdered it’ll be literally like I’ve lost a son”. Probably the usual hyperbole about someone you’ve just met, but I didn’t think that would be her style.

Sorry I don't 100% know if it is them, but I'm just assuming, going by what other posters have said on here.
What are your thoughts?

Seems that Francesca must have one of those faces that looks familiar to everyone. To me, she looks just like someone who goes to my gym 🤣 (but it can’t be her)

We've seen 3 figures on the rail replacement service, and I guess we've all made the same assumptions.
It's not the "...... but Ross is 😉 " cliffhanger of last year! I was definitely waiting for them to come back.

There will be some other connection reveal somewhere along the line. There's 9 episodes left, plenty of time to build up to it. Diane and Ross were revealed around halfway through, weren't they? They will want a similar shock this year

Yes, also going by them bringing back Kieran and Amos in S1.
Can't think why they would recruit the extra 3 in the first place if they weren't going to reappear at some point!
And their cast statuses says N/A on here...

I’m pretty sure hearing of behind the scenes from previous seasons that this is one show where the producers don’t interfere and step back to let things happen naturally. I think Claudia said this.

God it was a travesty! Thank goodness the right person won last year, or I'd have lost all faith. I went back and read the last few pages of the threads on here on S1 and S2 this morning, made for very entertaining reading😀.

I can't see a happy ending for Kasim at the moment. He's going to get banished pretty soon (and even if he did stay in long enough to get recruited as a traitor, and they chose him, and he agreed - that doesn't protect him from banishment). I wonder if they'll ALL be blubbing when he tells them he's a faithful?

If I were a player this year I'm afraid I would not be able to stop myself from voting to banish the odious Joe and when asked why it would be "because you are a horrid little man".

All the white guys circling around Kasim is so obvious and prejudiced. Joe hugging everyone after Armani’s elimation was particularly pathetic given he voted for Kasim.

This is basically season 1 all over again where a Pakistani guy will be eliminated early on. Last time it was Imran.

I hope these people think about their unconscious biases but I doubt it.

I really like Kaz, hate how the most intelligent, interesting pp so often get voted off first!

Re. some pp skipping through the tasks - I have taken to skipping through the daily breakfast nonsense. It gets very repetitive very quickky!

Tyler had some gall chastising Maia for crying when he cried during the railway challenge 😂 I think a lot of the men got very nasty in the last episode actually. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable watching it. Kas was definitely ganged up on and his frustration was definitely warranted. Alex and Joe getting digs in for no reason, ughhhhh. Just wasn't a good look.

Hope Kas stays. Really like him, Leanne and Minah so far. Need to see a bit more of Freddie (NOT in the shower), Leon, Anna and Francesca soon so I can make up my mind on them.
