I can't tell the males apart at this stage, they all blur into one

Yes - who's Joe and Alex? I think I just about know who Dan is. But maybe the person I am thinking of is Joe...

And who's Anna?

I have put off googling since it started in case I spoliered myself but I think I can this weekend as there is nothing on iPlayer I haven't seen.

So interesting that the carriage the three were in was marked 'rail replacement' but I think that will refer to the vehicle rather than the people. As someone worked out with them added in there will be 15 to lose over 8 episodes so each will cover about 24 hours and have a banishment and a murder. Plus at least one recruitment - you need to go into the final 5 with two traitors as the faithful know there must be at least one. If the traitors can get to the final with three traitors it will be really interesting as they might then eliminate one faithful and turn on each other.

Absolute rubbish. The game is called The Traitors not be nice to family members. I would have done exactly the same.

And she did it, she was just upset about it which is normal as it led to her sister being booted off a reality show which is a big deal. They could/should have been more strategic.

I may have not read far enough back in the thread but am I the only person struck by how unpleasantly Joe came across yesterday? I know all the focus is on Jake but he just seems a hot head to me. Joe is older and presumably a more worldly person and yet at various points he seemed a bit of a bully yesterday.

I was trying to think of ways of making other people's jobs '100 percent Traitors'. Tyler : barber by day, Sweeney Todd at night. Joe is a teacher, so must be a bully. Leanne : alleged nail technician by day , claws out at night.

If I were Kas, I too would be furious at the implication that doctors are good killers.

The flaw in this show has always been that the people pleasers get too far....unless they're 'too intelligent'.

We don’t like Joe in our house.

Pumpkincozynights · 04/01/2025 09:51

I feel so sorry for Kaz. We were howling when he said he was being cast as a Shipman type character.
No wonder people lie about their background and career.
I thought Dan has shown himself in a bad light and has put himself in a bit of danger. I didn’t like him when was on the train pushing for someone else to leave, and now he has made it clear he is not a team player.
The logic that if Armani is a traitor then so too is Kaz is insane. I really don’t want Kaz to go but cannot see him surviving much longer.
I think the other sister will probably get murdered but I would also be murdering Freddie at the first opportunity.
I do actually agree with Linda’s logic. Absolutely nobody knows who the traitors are other than the traitors, so saying I don’t have any strong feelings about anybody is correct. It’s kind of all guess work at the moment. Unless you have an Armani type who cannot help but keep throwing names about.
If I were Linda I would keep the vicar in as long as possible as she could be the other ‘older strong female’ traitor.

Joe has glasses and blondish hair. Is he the teacher? The one that was surprised Linda doesn't have any theories as to who the traitors are. I agree he's unlikeable.

Alex I can't picture at all!

Anna....Irish girl with brown hair? We've barely seen anything of her so she may be in a while yet.

OldFred · 04/01/2025 09:52

Just joining in now as finally caught up with the previous threads

Armani was not just too much, she was EVERYTHING.
So obvious she was going to be the weakest link amongst the traitors.

Would have loved Yin to have stayed in.
She's an interesting character.

I think she and Armani would be great <in the same series> of Big Brother 😏

Like Minah, Kas and Soldier Barbie.
Can't really differentiate between the rest of the men yet, only Jake, Freddie and Tyler.

Excited for the return of the Train3, wonder what their roles will be.

Pumpkincozynights · 04/01/2025 09:53

Maybe they won’t have to murder Jake. Maybe he will become a target for Dan, Joe and possibly Tyler to vote off.

Joe was the one who when confronted about the fact that so few of the others sacrificed themselves during the boat challenge, kind of shrugged and said (not correct words) tough luck ignoring the fact that if they had all taken that attitude they would have had no extra money or shields. I mean he was right but completely lacked empathy or gratitude. I’d be looking to murder him if I was a traitor cos clearly not a team player.

Pumpkincozynights · 04/01/2025 09:55

Alex is the one with pink hair.

Pumpkincozynights · 04/01/2025 09:58

If I were a traitor I would try and befriend someone who seamed a bit dim. Take them through to the final and screw them over!
Dan would absolutely have to go.
So too would a lot of the younger men due to how people stereo type and stick to ‘ their own type.’ As I’m neither male nor young I’d pick them off one by one.

Choux · 04/01/2025 09:59

As much as I love this show I think there is some degree of manipulation by producers. I am sure they do personality tests on the contestants to understand where potential contestants are on the team player v out for themselves scale in order to select a good mix and generate good tv.

The three getting off the carriage - quite likely people were allocated to carriages so there were some strong team players in each who might choose to get off. They may also have primed the three that if there was something that looked like a bad event it might actually be a good event so be open to making decisions that seem not in line with your goal to win.

Maia was asked about her sister in the car on the way back from the task. Forget who asked her but the producers probably tell people who is in which car so may could easily have said to the other two in the car 'Maia will be in the front seat. It's a good opportunity to ask her thoughts on Armani. See if she thinks anything has changed about her'. The conversation may have happened anyway but giving them a nudge makes it more certain it will.

They may also have primed Armani to tell her fellow traitors that she needs more from them. The show seems stressful for several of them so I am sure they have time with psychologists and production from a duty of care perspective. It's very easy to then say 'have you thought about telling them that you feel unsupported and that you would like them to do more?'

I am still loving it though!

Exactly what Harry did. And Wilfred. The dim.ones make it to the end.

slightlydistrac · 04/01/2025 10:00

Does anyone else think that there are still some family members in there, and that one of them could be one of the 'Train Three'?

Joe is right though. It's a game where everyone ultimately wants to win. It's not about making friends for life with people you've known five minutes.

I find Jake who got so angry after the task and confronted Joe a bit thick and annoying.

Love how Linda and Minah were just waiting for Armani to be hoist by her own petard. Minah is my favourite. I find Linda a bit of a drip.

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 10:06

Yes,Joe is an English teacher. I had barely noticed him til last night : he is quite easy to get muddled with Dan. I can't remember exactly what he said but it was his manner. He appeared to gang up a bit on Kas and I think he was the one who really didn't appear to get Kas's aggravation and kept banging on some time after Jake had stopped.

Choux · 04/01/2025 10:12

The Joe v Jake conflict is a good example of the difference between a team player and someone out for themselves.

Joe is right in that they are playing as individuals and the group can carry a few who think and act like him. But if there aren't people like Jake who will sacrifice their personal immunity for the cause the group will get nowhere in terms of prize pot.

The Joe types need to be uncovered and murdered / banished and this year the tasks seem much better at making them reveal themselves. Getting immunity last year was often just a game of chance in the armory. This year it's more based on your actions. Jake might be annoying some of his fellow contestants but getting off first and then being annoyed at how few other people got off point to him being faithful so reduces his chance of being banished.

Lentilweaver · 04/01/2025 10:13

Joe is not the one who fought with Jake about the boat challenge. That's Dan, the banker.
Admittedly they all look exactly the same.

Really??! My powers of observation are crap 😂

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 10:15

Thank you! That's what I thought but was doubting myself. Joe rounded on Linda at the round table (which was OK) but then just seemed really aggressive in his manner at other points, I think towards Kas especially.

I am a tecaher and know his type. I suspect he is put out that Kas is 'the clever one' and wants that title.

Lentilweaver · 04/01/2025 10:15

Joe is the bespectacled English teacher who piled on Kas. Dan is a Kas defender.😁

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 10:17

I am invested and am going to obligingly rewatch the round table in a bit to see what Joe did to irk me!

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 10:18

I think it may be Joe that ended up making Kas make the Shipman comment. When it was just Jake he put up with it. Joe keeps going on about the toast.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 04/01/2025 10:20

Yes Joe and Dan look very similar looks (and personalities). Joe has glasses is the way to decipher.

Dan strikes me as the sort of person who claims the glory of other people's hard work. I can just see him in an interview talking about how he led a project with examples that his colleague actual did and getting the job on foot of it. I may be projecting there.

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 10:26

I don't mind Dan - he admits to being a strategist and once he said he has autism he made some kind of sense. Joe just seemed more vicious.
