Armani just as annoying on uncloaked!

Yes totally insufferable. Total complete lack of self awareness. When she was asked if the Traitors would mange without her she said, 'Oh No. I was running that turret'!! She clearly didn't pick up on the vibes, from Minah in particular, regarding her 'advice' that Minah and Linda 'weren't doing enough.

When she was told in the castle that her name had been mentioned by a couple of people she was totally dismissive and went into the round table, 'totally confident' because 'I'm really popular and everyone loves me!!!'

On Uncloaked even Ed Gamble said some of the reluctance from the Faithful to vote for her were because they were frightened of her. If you were in her friendship group she's someone you wouldn't want to cross or upset.

Interestingly she trained as a barrister and was called to the bar but doesn't seem to have got a pupillage after that so isn't registered, either because she didn't secure one or she decided not to. I think any court room with her in it would be a very interesting experience................

To me she completely accepted she was misguided in her tactics and advice and was joking they wouldn't cope without her. Least she thought Minah was doing an excellent job - Linda less so but just might limp though.

I agree Kaz would be a good recruit, but he might be banished before they get a chance. If he survives Wednesday then they need to recruit because I bet they will banished him Thursday and think they have an original traitor. Well uness the newbies upset the apple cart.

The thing that bugs me is them all talking about their “friends”! I’m sorry but these people are not your friends, you literally first met a few days ago and you have no idea if the person you are talking to is lying or not!

Insincere people make 'friends' fast and enemies just as fast.

stickybear · 04/01/2025 00:29

I wonder if there will be some link up between the three from the train and the group that got off the boat? I've not watched before this series but the narrative tonight seemed to be very much about team players vs the more self interested.
I really like Kas and will be sad if he is banished. Also find Alex and Dan interesting, and think Leanne would make a good recruit.

jelliestfish · 04/01/2025 00:33

Three returners makes me wonder if they might come back 'on probation' with the traitors playing a sort of Shag, Marry, Avoid. Return one as a Faithful (Shag), Return one as a Traitor (Marry) and murder one (Avoid). Of course, it would just be framed as a trial and straight up traitor murder to the returners and wider group.

ShesNotACowShesAFox · 04/01/2025 00:35

That was the best UK episode of the Traitors ever! I absolutely loved the conflict on the boat and outing Armani

hugsandpugs · 04/01/2025 00:42

So glad Armani is gone. So irritating!

On another note just catching up with the uncloaked and loving Emma Willis’ boots! 👢 😂 anyone know where they’re from?!

I wondered if Charlotte might be related to Alexander, the former diplomat. When he got off the train she said, oh Alexander. Probably reading too much into that though!

Hmmm. Maybe her shampoo was packed in his bag.

happinessischocolate · 04/01/2025 00:44

Which also makes me wonder, if they know each other, are they allowed to share with each other whether they are a traitor or a faithful? And if so, why didn't Armani and Maia do so so they can help each other get to the end?

I would imagine it's against the rules to tell anyone especially your mother, son or sister, however surely you'd set a code with your sibling ie if I drink orange juice at breakfast I'm a faithful if I switch to tea I'm now a traitor 😂

Are they returners or are they the rail "REPLACEMENTS"

jelliestfish · 04/01/2025 01:05

"Are they returners or are they the rail "REPLACEMENTS""

Good point! Lots of possibilities really.

When my family plays Mafia, we usually have a third role of Inspectors, who are able to discover the role of one nominated player each night. The difficulty being that if they do confirm a Mafiosa, they still have to convince others to vote with them, without drawing more suspicion onto themselves or revealing their role as inspector. It would be especially difficult for a newcomer to build that social capital - just think about Jaz sussing Harry last year and being unable to get the numbers.

I'd be curious to see if inspectors could work on the Traitors.

I think Francesca looks like the actor Emma Fielding.

Francesca reminds me of a young Paula Wilcox.

arrigatto · 04/01/2025 07:12

The idea of Jake and minah as a couple feels laughable to me! I think she'll be with someone much more sophisticated. Jake is doing my head in. Great casting by the producers because he's 100% just falling into all the same dumb traps as in previous series - someone must be a traitor because of their job, someone must be a traitor because they're clever, etc. Totally forgetting that Claudia just chooses the traitors, it's not an inherent personality trait!

QueenOfThorns · 04/01/2025 07:47

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 03/01/2025 22:52

Also why is Minah at risk?

Honestly it's like I'm not watching 🤣

She hopefully isn’t, but I have concerns on two counts. Firstly, there was a VERY limited pool of potential murder victims this time round, and she was pretty much the only one who hasn’t been suspected yet (as far as we know). As it makes sense for the Traitors to keep people in who are under suspicion, the fact that she won’t get murdered might be telling.

Also, I forget who it was, but when they do the reveal on Uncloaked, one of the people who has already left listed her as a potential Traitor beforehand. So she isn’t flying TOTALLY under the radar, whatever the edit is trying to make us think!

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2025 07:49

I may have not read far enough back in the thread but am I the only person struck by how unpleasantly Joe came across yesterday? I know all the focus is on Jake but he just seems a hot head to me. Joe is older and presumably a more worldly person and yet at various points he seemed a bit of a bully yesterday.

I was trying to think of ways of making other people's jobs '100 percent Traitors'. Tyler : barber by day, Sweeney Todd at night. Joe is a teacher, so must be a bully. Leanne : alleged nail technician by day , claws out at night.

If I were Kas, I too would be furious at the implication that doctors are good killers.

The flaw in this show has always been that the people pleasers get too far....unless they're 'too intelligent'.

buffyajp · 04/01/2025 07:54

BananaSpanner · 03/01/2025 22:27

Oh totally, it was why she was so devastated. Showed disloyalty to her sister at the very first opportunity.

Absolute rubbish. The game is called The Traitors not be nice to family members. I would have done exactly the same.

GameOfJones · 04/01/2025 08:14

Kas is toast unfortunately. There's too much heat on him to not get banished. Which is a shame because I really like him!

His Harold Shipman outburst was quite funny as a viewer but won't have done him any favours at all. I understand why he was furious with the "doctor by day, killer by night" comment from Jake though. It was a really low blow and doesn't make any sense anyway. Kas would have been better off saying nobody else's jobs are being analysed around the table.

I do think it shows that unfortunately, you have to blend in and not show that you're too clever. Leanne is playing it exactly right in this regard.

That is what always annoys me. This idea that it’s an active choice they have made. Yes then get asked if they want to be a traitor but they are still chosen.

Yes, you could prearrange a code via your clothing etc. The sisters seemed to have no game plan together whatsoever. I’m not sure why they went on together. There’s no apparent advantage to going on with a family member, only disadvantages (e.g. Maia saying she was 60% about Armani, which sealed her banishment). Being open about being sisters was always going to mean one of them was at risk, to break up any advantage they might have.

Agree, there were so few people to get off the boat that it gives people a lot to go on. They know at least one Traitor (Armani) got off. The chances are another may have done. It was a big risk getting off the boat, though Minah has a cover story (irritated by Linda, which Linda prob won’t mind her saying). Then, as you say, people will start to think why wouldn’t The Traitors murder her.

Joe's behaviour has been clocked. Note upthread I have added him yo my "Irritating" list.

People go on my irritating list when I don't like their behaviour. Jake should be on there by rights, but saved himself by getting off the boat. Though fair to say he's pencilled in due to his other behaviour.

Joe and Dan are both written on it, in pen.

I've a few others pencilling in, unfairly because they remind me of people i know in real life.

BellaPommefritio · 04/01/2025 09:01

MonkeyTennis34 · 04/01/2025 09:09

Just jumped on board to say, off you trot Armani!

I'd imagine the majority of the contestants are so relieved to see her go. That overbearing, high frequency personality must have been suffocating!

I've worked with similar personalities..others are often intimidated by and scared of them and their influence. Grim.

I'm so glad contestants got rid but quite surprised too as in other series, this type of personality (can't remember the name of the tall ginger guy in the last series but he was a good example) lasted a long time due to the above.

MonkeyTennis34 · 04/01/2025 09:12

It's probably been mentioned but Maia noticing that something was off/different about her sister's behaviour definitely sealed her fate.

Sisters generally know each other inside out so, for me, this was clever casting.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 04/01/2025 09:13

Paul.

He was so irritating. He really thought he was a genious Lord of the Land didnt he. More irritating than Armani - she might have ended on on his level if she'd stayed.

I'm happy she's gone and it was her sister that saw to it that she did! It will give all of the others a chance to actually play the game now.
