The most gripping reality game show is back! Tune in to BBC1 at 8pm on New Year's Day.

I'm buzzing!

OK. I just thought in the past people had avoided talking about the details of other series as people often haven’t seen them: I’m not sure how ‘true’ a fan you need to be to join in on here!

But I’ll shut up.

CaveMum · 01/01/2025 19:33

It’s not fair to give people who don’t have the chance to watch ahead the opportunity to stay spoiler free. After tonight’s episode has aired (and let’s be honest this thread is likely to fill up!) why don’t we split off into 2 separate threads to keep folks happy.

We did the same for Strictly so that people who wanted to seek out the spoiler on social media could do so and discuss it freely.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/01/2025 19:41

Just placemarking

Jellykat · 01/01/2025 19:42

Cant wait!

Is it not easier to just stay off the thread or unfollow until you’re up to date with episodes rather than have 2 different threads? I don’t really get what there would be to discuss if you’re not talking about what happened on the show 🤷🏻‍♀️

CaveMum · 01/01/2025 19:51

@TheBluntTurtle some people will watch at broadcast pace while others will watch the episodes as they drop on iPlayer. Is it fair for those that can’t watch ahead to have to not post on the threads for risk of seeing a spoiler an episode or 2 ahead?

I’m a big girl so it doesn’t bother me either way, but I can see why some people would be upset at the risk of spoilers when an episode hasn’t officially been shown on tv.

dapsnotplimsolls · 01/01/2025 19:53

Bleddy BBC!!

crastinatelikeapro · 01/01/2025 19:56

I normally stop reading the thread at the point people start talking about the next episode I've not seen, then continue reading once I've watched it to catch up.

CaveMum · 01/01/2025 19:57

Standby everyone!

Jellykat · 01/01/2025 19:57

With Strictly and Eastenders, we've always had a main thread at telly pace.. if someone wants to split off and do a spoilers thread, they do.

Easy for us telly pacers to avoid spoilers that way

witchycat2 · 01/01/2025 19:58

I believe they will only be showing advance episodes this week, as they did last year, so it shouldn't be an issue after this week. *

While the spoilers will likely only be minor as we are at the very start, let's try and keep this thread spoiler free** for those who want to watch at TV pace.

As for international versions, probably best to avoid specific spoilers about them on this thread.

I like to think that I can resist and wait for episode 2 tomorrow night but ...

BliainNua · 01/01/2025 20:00

I'll be watching in Ireland - no iPlayer, so I'll be following the TV schedule.

If there's another non-spoiler thread great - but if not I'll pop in after it's airs terrestrially.

RainbowSnake · 01/01/2025 20:00

Evening all! I’m so glad The Traitors is back on, it’s proper comfort telly.

HurdyGurdy19 · 01/01/2025 20:01

Ohhhhhh, I didn't know this thread was here or I'd have joined in sooner. I have been so excited for the return of The Traitors. I know they've changed "something" so that those who have watched before can't apply their knowledge, so it'll be interesting to see what is to come.

dapsnotplimsolls · 01/01/2025 20:01

I wonder if they'll all be trying to work out who's related/friends/etc?

dapsnotplimsolls · 01/01/2025 20:02

Ooh, she's going to keep quiet.

HurdyGurdy19 · 01/01/2025 20:03

ooooh - sisters!

Borris · 01/01/2025 20:03

Signing in

dapsnotplimsolls · 01/01/2025 20:04

Musicals? Tick!

PlumpHobbit · 01/01/2025 20:04

Here we go!

Not finished reading about all of them but Alex intrigued me from the ones I've read sp far

Choux · 01/01/2025 20:04

The sisters are a declared pair but I wonder if there will be another pair we don't know about.

The priest said 'I could be your granny' to Freddie. I wonder if she is?

RainbowSnake · 01/01/2025 20:04

Very 90s boyband hair on Tyler.

I agree, I think they'll sneak another pair in.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a few pairs
