All very improbable and a step down for James Norton in terms of the quality of the drama.

That scene almost in darkness near the end, with Miles pinning Maddie against the wall was rather ridiculous. It would only have taken one person to walk in and see them and Miles would have been finished. How did they end up alone together like that?!

It’s a load of tosh. But I’m still watching. I wish it would step up a pinch though. It’s dragging a bit and already feels as though it could have been condensed and we’re only episode 3.

I say this but will be watching. Obviously I concur there are also huge ridiculous things in the overall story line.

That's my problem with it too - the pace just feels slow, as if they had trouble filling the allotted time. But maybe that's just me, because I read more than I watch TV, and I'm used to being able to read at my own (I think fairly fast) pace.

I thought it picked up a bit, and the pace felt more satisfying, after Pete's conversation with his friend (Jen?). But then the montage of Miles and Lucy with the children near the end was definitely filler.

I think Ollie will turn out to be significant in some way but I'm not sure what. I don't entirely trust him.

That's the one. His only characteristic seems to be being nice. I can't quite shake the feeling that he might have been paid or bullied by Miles into trying to get Maddie to say/do things that could be used against her.
