Has anyone else watched it as confused to why Nathan and Hannah’s other two children weren’t at the wedding ? Or did I miss them ! Or did I imagine them in the previous series’s ! I did skip some of it and may have not been fully concentrating but they didn’t appear to be at their sister’s wedding!

Was looking for a spoiler thread so I can discuss just how rubbish this sequel was. So disappointed.
As pp said, Gael was Argentinian, so how has he suddenly metamorphosised into a rich Spanish bloke.
Ridiculous storyline with that woman turning up pretending to be Toby's fiancee. What?
Nathan was already terrified by his accidental baby last series, so he had one more at that age? Hated how miserable they made him.
Hated that Rose apparently has no option but to adopt the vicar's passel of kids and then get pregnant by him, so she is even more chained to the vicarage.
Nina suddenly decided to turn lesbian on the spot?
What was even the point of Julian?
And lastly, Hannah's wardrobe was crap.

I quite liked her last dress for the wedding but everything else missed the mark ,also her hair, badly cut and odd colour!

Agree with everything else you posted 😂

LoafofSellotape · 29/12/2024 23:34

Also her sighing, she sighs far too much and it's irritating.

tennissquare · 30/12/2024 00:07

@AsWithGlad , yes I think Nicola Walker looked considerably older, I think it's because in real life she is in her 50's and the other 2 are early / mid 40's and the harshness of tv captures that age difference rather than 30's v 40's when they started the show.

I thought it was quite weak and lots of plot holes. Yes reminded me of Mama Mia too!

AsWithGlad · 30/12/2024 00:22

One thing I enjoyed in previous series was the expensive clothes and hair. I agree that Hannah’s hair didn’t look as special as it has before. I wonder if that was deliberate to tell us something, or if filming just two episodes rather than a series (?6) and those mostly abroad meant it wasn’t possible this time?

Hello2025 · 30/12/2024 01:50

Have to agree that it was a bit rubbish. I was really looking forward to it too.

HeartandSeoul · 30/12/2024 02:08

I was confused by the fact Wren (the mistress) was still hanging around the following morning at breakfast, and everyone was very polite to her, seemingly forgetting the fact she had just come along and destroyed the wedding/a marriage etc!

Also, I know she’s full of raging hormones, but I didn’t like how rude Rose was to Glen (think I have the right name!).

Mallardoo · 30/12/2024 04:55

If the only reason that the mistress was offered money was so she didn’t tell his wife, then why were they trying to make a settlement with her afterwards? Legally, she wouldn’t deserve anything presumably? But aside from the unlikeliness of the storyline, I enjoyed it, I like the characters. Good escapism.

Cannot imagine getting marrid to someone who is a multimillionaire, huuuge lavish wedding

100s of guests

None of your siblings can make it. All four missing

Total tosh

I thought you had miscalculated the number of Liv’s siblings, then remembered her Dad has two children with Kate.

CharlotteRumpling · 30/12/2024 12:28

I thought Toby Stephens was very dull and didn't have half the charm of Nathan or even Christie. Seemed obsessed with his son.

EtonMessy · 30/12/2024 13:11

Glad it wasn’t me who thought it was quite rubbish and definitely so many plot holes! I only kept watching for Stephen Mangan !!

I havn't seen the previous series of this but like others I thought it had morphed into Mama Mia at times. I did like N. Walkers clothes though especially the navy dress.

Treat yourself and watch all three series! They are all on iplayer.

SunnyHappyPeople · 30/12/2024 15:14

Excuse me but I didn't even know this was on, I love the show.

Does anyone know which channel I can watch this on please???? Thanks🙏

startingoveragainagain · 30/12/2024 15:15

I enjoyed it, but I always liked it as a series. It was a bit of an advert for Hinge, though. I'm considering OLD and had never considered Hinge before - but the thought of finding a dishy solicitor there has made it attractive.

BlackStrayCat · 30/12/2024 15:21

It was ridiculous.

Having just got divorced in Spain they had clearly done bugger all research. Nada. In a contentious divorce it is minimum 2 years before they even start to process it. Does NW & yer man even speak Spanish? Can they work in Spain?I absolutely think not.

Papers "served"? Utter tosh. I was really lookng forward to this. A few things wrong understandable, but that was totally made up.

Rosecoffeecup · 30/12/2024 18:10

Load of old nonsense. Shame as I was really looking forward to it

Patienceinshortsupply · 30/12/2024 18:47

I ended up wishing I hadn't bothered and had left it to my imagination. Having been such fantastic writing in the 3 series, I had such high hopes but it was really poor in terms of believability and plot line. Even Nicola Walker didn't seem as if she could be bothered. As for Toby Stephens, words fail me. When did he become so dull and middle aged Sad

Greentableleg · 30/12/2024 19:38

Disappointed is an understatement. I was hoping Christie would come back just for the chemistry between him and Hannah because there was none whatsoever with Archie! Ridiculous storyline and what were the chances that the family Hannah's daughter was marrying into were old friends with the man she had been dating few months previously?

UntamedShrew · 30/12/2024 20:11

I don’t know why script writers always seem to write it that the parents have never met the in-laws before the wedding itself. Not sure that ever happens?

That said, I did enjoy the earring storyline so will forgive them for anything - it was all very enjoyable to see the characters again.

I liked her dressing gown - anyone know where it might be from?

Me too. I liked the second series (can’t recall if I saw the first one) and I’ll watch the second part of third mini series but I was disappointed.

needhelpwiththisplease · 30/12/2024 20:18

It was disappointingly shite!

drspouse · 30/12/2024 21:26

I totally agree about Mamma Mia!

warmbath · 30/12/2024 21:38

The Spainish dad looks a bit like Neil Morrisey
