So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

I'm loving Corrie & hoping they stick with / get back to heartfelt, meaningful storylines with their witty & funny moments.

I think the Carla & Swain storyline is totally believable - has happened to a few school mums I know. Loving Kit - he makes a great baddie that can also be good, plus he's tall & good looking!

My 18 year old wants to study Law. It's very competitive. It's a joke to think that Evelyn would get in on the back of that interview rant.

I don't know if it's Botox or genuinely just her character!

I'm guessing/hoping that they're setting up a triumphal story for Ken as a sort of swan song. He is the world's longest serving TV soap actor after all. I hope that's the case, and I hope he carries on for a good while after as well.

I agree the Evelyn storyline is highly improbable. Wouuldn't she need to do at least a foundation degree before being considered?

Hope that rounds off this particular Mason storyline. I think he's a smashing actor and I was glad to see him back but the brothers are/were useless. Yet again a lack of imagination in storylining. Hope to see Mason again - could break a few hearts on the cobbles. Betsy's a liability and I hope she's not pregnant.

Why are we supposed to care about Swains wife? Swain really needs to be seconded somewhere far away and take miserable Betsy and her silly stripy hair with her.

I could never warm to Mason after his awful bullying.
I don’t think he’s a particularly good actor either so glad he’s going, just a shame he’s not taking Betsy with him.

The Evelyn interview was soooo bad. Despite standing there ranting then stomping out, she gets offered a place. Yeh right.

If they wanted Swain to behave so unprofessionally they should at least still have her suspended (and eventually sacked). And still she struggles to find one single expression. I am almost relieved to see Kit arrive on screen because he at least he can act.

We know Carla isn’t going anywhere so I can’t get bothered about her wonky kidney.

Amy was supposed to be smart, no sign of it in the past year. Lovely to see Aadi though.

I used to like Daisy, but since they got on the Daniel-Bethany-Daisy merry-go-round she just functions as a plot device looking blankly or mardily into the distance.

Betsy is awful. Her emoting involves shouting and raising her shoulders up round her ears. I’m glad Mason is going to Germany (maybe I’ll join him, I don’t think you can watch Corrie there…)

I adored the interaction between Sally and Tim last night when she was looking for her crevice attachment. Her expression when he confused it with another of her appliances was fabulous. 🤣🍆

Sally and Tim have almost become the comedy couple of the street and normally I wouldn't like it but Sally plays the snob to perfection so I'm enjoying their scenes.

She seems to do that in almost every scene. I can imagine when she reads her scripts and sees "look mardily into the distance" she thinks money for old rope here. 🙄😁

Isn't the fact you don't like him due to his awful bullying down to the fact he's a good actor though?

I don't like Mason really either, but it's not because of the bullying storyline, he's redeemed from that now. I think it's because he's involved with Betsy. If they gave him some better storylines he might be okay.

I'm like this with Hope. She could turn into Mother Theresa and I'd still struggle to understand how Fizz can love her 😳 I wish she'd left her in that reform place/pyromaniac asylum they sent her off to.

Again though, I think this must be a credit to her acting skills!

I like Mason with Tim and Sally.

Just caught up with last night's. When Betsy found out Mason's brother was involved with her mum's murder, she went all Larry Lamb again, with her trembling voice. Dreadful actress.

Just to let you know, there’s a trailer doing the rounds on tv about what’s coming up in Corrie and it’s got a few spoilers in it. Try to avoid if you can (I’ve already seen it) but I think it’ll be hard to avoid and if you read the DM or DS for soap gossip, there’s a spoiler on there too
