So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

Oh yes an 'ology

I agree Dev was embarrassingly bad last night. Like ridiculously OTT and over dramatic. Absolutely dreadful acting from him. It was like he was taking the piss/in some kind of farce. I thought he was joking.

Like Phoebe in Friends does occasionally, for example; 'OH for GOODNESS SAKE! For the love of God STOP! This is madness. MADNESS!' and she shakes her head and closes her eyes (at the same time.) But it's like a silly spoof. I thought that's what Dev was doing. But he was serious. Worst acting for ages from him! Maybe he is trying to get sacked. He will if he keeps performing like that! They're dropping like flies on Corrie at the moment!

I also struggle with Sean sometimes. With his weird, gurning, sad-face, type expressions. He is really not a great actor either. He is quite a pointless character too. And still lodging with someone at nearly 50? (After 25-ish years.) Really....? Why has he never even attempted to get his own place? He is a forever teenager!

I like him in Classic Corrie, but his character is waaaay past its sell-by date now, by a good decade!

@SabreIsMyFave totally agree. Missed a bit of last night’s episode, but did Sean put up bail for Dylan? Makes no sense because if he had thousands stashed away he could rent his own property surely?

Don't Sean and Dylan live in a flat now? Maybe Lauren's flat?
If Dylan had been stabbed Sean would have had to go and live elsewhere, possibly Norwich.
I'd have liked more of Mason, Tim and Sally.
I like Bobby.

Well yeah... Unless as the pp said, he and Dylan have moved out now. If they have it is very recent.

My mistake, I can’t remember them moving, but obviously they have.
I find so much of it dull that I switch off and miss bits!

This is my issue with Sean too.... watched him as himself on things and read stuff and he's not a nice person apparently.

I think the corrie bosses think we find him endearing but knowing what he's supposed to be like, he's far from that!

Yeah they moved into Lauren's flat a while back. I remember thrm viewing it. Think Eileen had enough when the police came round about the knife originally.

They definitely went to view Lauren's flat. Not sure if they took it though.

Sean & Dylan live in Flat 2. They moved in in April 2024.

Lauren lived in Flat 4 (with Ryan) which was originally occupied by Evelyn & Cassie.

Flat 18 was where Shelley (Paul's friend) lived. When she died, Aadi and Courtney moved in (short lived )

I assume Mason's brothers live in one of the flats as that was where mason was heading to get photos when he was cornered. And then there's Max's ex-girlfriend and her brother (that we've not seen or heard of for a long while)

Actually wasn't Aadis flat Devs above the shop? I think Sean's is on the precinct where Lauren's was 🤔

DeeDee lives in the flat above Devs shop.

Aadi rented one in the precinct.

Sean's Flat 2 (along with 4 and 18 and the rest!) are all Weatherfield precinct.

Sean went to view Lauren's flat but said it was horrible, dirty and had (?dried /old) blood up the walls ...

And that is what started the missing presumed murdered Lauren storyline .

Dev's acting is so bad he's actually incoherent at times. Awful.

You're not kidding. I manage to understand about 10% of what he says! He and Bernie are an odd couple but for some reason I like them together. Wow they're getting married!! If it goes ahead of course. She will be a stunning bride as the actress is so pretty.

Ah yes, I remember now!

There is part of me (a shallow part!) that thinks Bernie would have been a little glamorized (sp?) over the course of her relationship with Dev. As a PP said, she can look really stunning, so a half way house between scruffy and glam would work better with Dev, who for all his acting faults, is fairly well put together. Sorry - I've explained myself really badly here!

I agree and you haven't explained it badly at all imo. You weren't being shallow but others here may argue on that one. Dev loves Bernie the person and sees beauty in her. 🙂 She's a take me as I am woman unlike the Sarahs and Daisies who seem to wake up all glam in the morning. Yeah right. Bernie actress hasn't gone down the fake face filler route. At least it doesn't appear so.

i watched the Classic episodes and Sean is lovely in those. Very funny and a nice person. Love his relationship with ‘J Boy’ (Jason). Agree he isn’t great now and also actor wasn’t very nice on Celebrity Jungle or whatever it’s called.

Dev is just as annoying in the old episodes.
