So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball. Grin

Happy new year everyone. Have a cracking 2025! 😄

It's horrible., horrifying.
I heard a psni officer on the radio a few years ago discussing knife crime. He reckoned young people didn't realise that knives can kill...they don't see them as being as dangerous as guns.
I live in Ireland, a town of about 15,000. We have had a fatal stabbing and a fatal kicking in the past 5 years. Neither intentional but just as deadly.
Yet Coronation Street must have 5 murders a year!

AmusedMaker · 07/01/2025 19:07

Yes, a 14 year old stabbed to death on a bus in London today, 2.30 in the afternoon.
And I read of another teenage stab victim ( who sadly died ) was asking for his Mum. They’re just children behind all the hard man stuff.

A very sad episode of Coronation St.
And yes, Dylan will be massively implicated because he was carrying the knife.

HaddyAbrams · 07/01/2025 19:11

It's kind of a shame that teenagers don't watch Corrie. This whole storyline is showing how easy it is to get caught up in something bigger than you intend. Mason bullied Liam, mainly because he was bullied himself. Masons friends went along with it, Liam ended up suicidal.
Now, Dylan, who hid a knife thinking he was doing the right thing, and then took it out, again thinking he was doing the right thing, will be implicated in the murder. And even if he's found not guilty, he's always going to blame himself.

Oh no, that's horrible 😔

PiggieWig · 08/01/2025 17:47

The only reason Mason went back to the flat was for photos of his mum wasn't it? Such a sad episode. Sure the kids who need to see it won't have watched it but their mums might.

bizzey · 08/01/2025 18:10

When the bullying of Liam was going on ..I said on this thread then that those episodes should be shown in schools to get the youngsters talking about it all .
Same for that episode.
The young people need to see what it does and the young are quite good at knowing what is right and wrong ...they just don't see the consequences 😔....

They could do some good , talking assemblies or some thing ...or maybe small group chats ?

The Kinsella Foundation (apologies if I have not worded that correctly x)

They worked with Corrie in all the Knife issues .

That episode was so much more poignent especially as that lad was stabbed on a bus in London the day after it was shown on TV .😢😢.

JewelleryCat · 08/01/2025 20:11

When I watched This Morning today, Sharon Marshall said Seb died in a knife attack but when I read the fandom, it said he died of a brutal kicking

bizzey · 08/01/2025 20:21

Seb died from a brutal kicking from a hate crime due to how he and Nina were dressed .(Or maybe just Nina ? 🤔)

Corrie had help from a real charity on that situation as well.

I do think the soaps do do as much research as they can and get support from where they can for their story lines .

( I need to look up the charity who helped with the seb /Nina story as I just can't remember ...sorry 😔)

bizzey · 08/01/2025 20:22

Sophie Lancaster ....
Apologies for forgetting.

suburburban · 08/01/2025 20:55

The Evelyn story is just ridiculous but I suppose it's a way of writing her out. How is she financing this and it seems so pointless

She seems to have had no interaction with Cassie lately

Very said but according to the BBC news website, the victim was due in court next week facing a charge of carrying a machete!

So my prediction - Abi will have PTSD and will be helicoptering around Alfie until she eventually has a breakdown.

And Bobby is having tests to be a kidney donor for Carla. I'm still not letting go of my theory that he is Frankie's father, and this testing will show something up.

eggandonion · 08/01/2025 21:06

I think he's Frankies dad too. Too much snuggling.
I'd like him to be Daisy's baby's dad too. I prefer Bobby to Daniel and Kit.He seems kind. So far.

CellophaneFlower · 08/01/2025 21:11

Any particular reason why Lauren and Bobby would keep this rather important and potentially life saving fact secret?!

PrincessScarlett · 08/01/2025 21:17

Did we ever see Lauren and Bobby sleep together? I thought it was just a bit of a kiss and nothing more.

eggandonion · 08/01/2025 21:23

Why not? This is Coronation Street where little makes sense.

familyissues12345 · 08/01/2025 21:26

You'd think if there was a chance Bobby is Frankie's Dad, then both he and Lauren would have gone for a DNA test whilst all of the Joel stuff was going on?! However, yes I agree I think he's gone for kidney testing and it's going to show something up Grin

Yeah the finance bit and why she's doing this in the first place makes no sense whatsoever ever

Evelyn deserves better

TellingBone · 08/01/2025 22:01

Oh I was expecting Mason's kidney to come in useful

SabreIsMyFave · 08/01/2025 22:09

Sean's hair looks ridiculous. Looks a bit like 'Shitlid' out of MAFSUK from last year. 😆

Sometimes when men have plugs/hair transplant, it looks good, but Sean's looks truly hideous. 😬

Shitlid.......

Oh Masons kidney would been excellent. Tracyluv never mentions her kidney.

Deadringer · 08/01/2025 22:17

Upsetting as the Mason storyline is, it wasn't as shocking as Dev looking for 15 quid for a tiny bunch of cheap flowers (chrysanthemums?)

I know right. And apparently a (transplanted) kidney lasts 15-20 years. Tracyluv had hers in 1995... She should have needed another one by now for sure. It's been 30 years!

It may well do. He’s not even cold yet. Re The Donor Registar don’t you now have to opt out rather than opt in.
