So many women pregnant, is there something in the water?
Wonder if they'll have a son or a daughter?
Joel's story lingers on, that's really too bad.
And now we have to put up with his mum and his dad.

Lauren's gonna do time, I wonder how long.
I guess she deserves it as she has done wrong.
Gail's gonna leave soon, after 50 whole years.
It'll be such a shame, there will many tears!

Bethany's putting on a brave face, though she's had a tough ride.
Daniel's still boring, and Kit's always snide.
Daisy's always got a snooty little pout.
And looks like she might just knock someone out..

Toyah and Nick have been secretly smooching.
Leanne knows all about it though, as she's always mooching.
Debbie's so funny, and Eileen's so droll
And Roy, a real favourite, is one of the best characters of all

Carla and Swain are getting quite close.
Not such a secret now, and nearly everyone knows.
Mason the baddie has gone quite good.
And Betsy always acts like she's Queen of the Hood!

Not much more to review for now.
But it's happy new year to us all.
I wonder how the Corrie cast will celebrate?
I bet they will have a ball.

As an aside, my friend and I have been talking about Beth Tinker/Sunderland.

She only left the street a few months ago, but neither of us can remember where she went.

Did she go to the "Norfolk factory" where Fiz went? Or did she go abroad?

Yes the bit in the ambulance when Mason said "I want my mum" was devastating 😔 I pretty much sobbed the whole episode. I knew he was going to be stabbed as I'd seen a spoiler last week but didn't know he was going to die. I hated him for ages over the whole bullying Liam SL but had started to warm to him recently and it's a shame they killed him off.
Did anyone else think the paramedics didn't seem in a hurry to get to him when they arrived? They just walked slowly to him.
I expect poor Abbi will be really traumatised and suffering with some form of PTSD now

I think Dylan deserves to be held responsible in part. Obviously bringing the knife was awful but I get he panicked... but why on earth had he kept hold of it all that time?

He saw all that Liam went through and was seemingly regretful for his part in it, yet kept the knife, even during their move 🤷‍♀️

I thought that too. The paramedics seemed slow and uninterested. I was shouting at them to find some urgency, a young man is dying and they were practically pottering!! Seemed to take ages to get moving and get him on the way to hospital.

I agree about Dylan. If he hadn't taken the knife to the situation then it wouldn't have been used and Mason would have just got a beating. He has to be held responsible for his part in this, and for bringing the weapon that ultimately resulted in Mason's death. I do feel sorry for him, as he thought he was doing the right thing, and was trying to protect Mason, but at the end of the day he made a terrible decision and needs to be held accountable for it. Although I am sure any punishment he receives will not be as bad as the punishment he will no doubt put himself through. Its a horrible situation all round. He is basically a good kid really 🙁

Didn't Kit get rid of her on some stupid made up reason to do with fake tee shirts?

A moving episode and was disappointed they killed off a good actor. Mason had become much more likeable and was trying to make amends as much as he could. Showing his brothers recently had also given some mitigation to Mason’s awful earlier bullying behaviour.

I had not read any spoilers, but didn’t think there would be a good outcome for him when he was stabbed as the writers seemed to be sending karma his way by reiterating his bullying behaviour. Liam was still down as “Rat” in his phone and Liam made it clear that Mason’s bullying was going to affect him for life despite Mason’s sincerity at being sorry.

I do think Dylan will be implicated by the brothers.

A note to the writers - if you are going to go for shock value with a murder - sadly two young lads, Seb and now Mason, is not as shocking as the murder of a mum with quads eg Gemma. Hint hint!

Maybe Swain is in it a lot as the actress will be cheaper than the well established ones. There is a lot of noise about ITV being skint. Maybe if they weren't offering Holly W £1m they could afford people the viewers want to see.

Well, it was his knife so maybe but there would be fingerprints of the brother who stabbed Mason so who knows. Kit is just really dodgy and is for some reason protecting them. If he isn’t protecting them, I don’t know what his agenda is

Did the brothers have gloves on ?
If they did , then there would only be Dylan's prints in the knife !

I think in the end he threatened to grass Craig up for the Faye/old man death thing if she didn't leave. She definitely left to save Craig's job anyway.

She had actually threatened him about the t-shirts I think as he was taking a cut and she took pics.

So we have Dylan in prison doing gcse with Daniel to look forward to. Maybe Violet will pop back and Sean will emote. Add in poor Frankie, Deedee, Lauren, Carla, the fraud thing...we will be stuck in prison and hospital.
