I was lucky enough to see Hamilton for a friend's birthday and it was incredible. That snippet doesn't do it justice. You have to watch from the beginning and concentrate as there's so much packed into each song. I don't think it works to just show one song from the middle of it. It makes no sense. The show blew my mind, it was so clever. Written by the same guy that did the music for Encanto. Lin Manuel Miranda?

I just think peeps are voting for those who come into this as beginners, rather than those who can already dance.

Rumba is bloody hard, but it’s also the dance you almost always start with when teaching/learning Latin because it is the foundation of technique.

People want different things from a Rumba -some people want “sex” which is hard to pull off (if you’ll pardon the expression!) and others want sensuality. Personally I prefer a soft, sensual rumba - I’d rather have the “sex” in an AT! Note, I did not see any “sex” in Aljaz and Tasha’s AT.

James Jordan, marmite as he is, always choreographed a good rumba, particularly with the more mature ladies he was partnered with who would have looked rather predatory trying to project “pure filth” as Craig likes to call it.

I think Montell and Johannes made a mistake if they really did choose that song. Musical week is time for something catchy people know not something obscure. Not a fan of these theme weeks anyway.

Oh, someone said Montell was overmarked every week. I think that's a bollocks. She was a good dancer who got some high or high-ish marks. She deserved them.

Re Pete resigning. No. Much as I wish he'd be in the dance off so he can finally f-off he shouldn't feel obligated to up and leave, not least because it wouldn't make any difference to who might miss out on the final. If he makes it to the final then someone who's more deserving in terms of dance and the joy their dancing brings misses out. If he leaves someone deserving in terms of dance and the joy their dancing brings still misses out. Also, not particularly good as he is, he isn't John Sergeant absolutely bloody awful. Very few people, apart from Widdecombe who was even worse, are or could be. I think he bowed out not just because better people were leaving but because he felt, probably rightly, that he was a laughing stock and that people were voting for him for shits and giggles. Pete is not a laughing stock and I'm sure he's more than used to being seen as eye-candy so I'm sure that he's absolutely fine with being the weakest dancer but remaining because the public "love" him.

For those wondering who gets more of the public vote, Pete or Chris. It's Chris. It has been from the beginning of the series and will remain that way. Weekly polls, etc seem to put Chris and Sarah above him with JB going above him in recent weeks. Those below Chris go up and down by a few percentage points so he could be in the dance off next week but it's also possible that he'll go up above either Sarah or JB and get through again.

Oh yeah that quickstep was fab. What a dress that was.

Kai & AJ? 😅

That salsa was a pretty poor score for week 11. Less than Montell or Chris and only four more than Pete.

It was going pretty well and then she got stuck going into a lift, so it ended in a disaster.

Ooh yeah, to "show me heaven". Great dance. The way Kai came up behind AJ at the start was much admired on here I recall.

How do you know this? How do posters who state it as fact that Pete fans are block voting know that? Where are they getting this info from and what proof is there?

Pete really is like marmite isn’t he, I didn’t realise how much people have such strong views on him. It seems you really love him or can’t stand him.

for me, the reasons why I love him are because I know him outside of strictly and I love his personality. I think that’s why he has a lot of fans, he is funny, his friendship with Sam Thompson and the videos they put out are great, he has this persona I think where people think he loves himself but I honestly think he is a sweet and caring guy. He loves animals and is vegetarian (which I love, because so am I). So I can see why he has a lot of fans, I think he has an endearing personality honestly (I get than a lot of you will disagree though).

Another reason will be because he’s good looking (not my cup of tea but I can see he’s not exactly ugly). Also I think people like to see someone who is really trying even though it doesn’t come naturally. He has to work so hard even for a simple dance and it feels like a kind of victory when he does it quite well. I always root for him because I know how much effort and concentration it will be taking him more so that some of the others who have more of a natural ability.

I also think he has great chemistry with his partner and I find him entertaining and always look forward to what he’s about to do.

I think it’s quite fair if people watch the show and vote for the people they most want to see week on week, because they are good dancers, or because they’re entertaining.

I don’t think it’s fair that there are block votes from groups who have never watched the show, don’t now watch the show and are only voting because they know a contestant from a reality show.

I would prefer people who watch and enjoy Strictly, to vote each week on who entertained them and you can’t be entertained if you don’t watch.

I’ve gone right off Vito this series. Way too over the top. I don’t warm to Sarah at all and the two of them don’t look right together.

Pete is very attractive despite his tattoos, dyed beard and Turkey teeth. I just can’t explain it. Maybe it’s because he is very masculine. A bit like Kai.

They said at the time that Kai loved that song as it reminded him of his Grandma. That would be a lovely sentiment for a different song, but this had us in hysterics and singing “show me heaven Grand-maaaaa”.

I loved AJ & Kai, their couples choice was soooo good, and i really remember their AT when AJ climbed up Kai’s leg!

Well I don't hate him but I certainly don't love him.

He seems nice enough. An animal lover and vegetarian (same as me) but he can't dance and is not improving very much.

He is not ugly but, to me, he is not good looking. As I said before, I find tattoos a turn off and neck tattoos revolting.

I don't find him attractive nor would I call him very masculine. I don't get the love for Kai either. Vito is far more attractive

No I get that, I know a lot of people won’t agree with me. But quite a few people have asked who the hell is voting for Pete and why and how does he have so many fans etc so thought I’d just throw in my opinion on why I think he could be getting so many votes despite not being a good dancer
