I watched Neil, and he is just floppy. He has insufficient snap and I don't like his timing. He ruined it for me (well, the singing ruined it for me as well, but he was icing on the cake)

if it were the best Dancer, Tasha would win hands down.

Chris & Pete have the popular vote, Pete because he's the real deal, zero experience but doing his best. Chris because he is doing this 100% blind, and what he is achieving every week is amazing.

One term of ballet and dancing in clubs is not going to help but 2 years at Lanes or Sylvia Young is quite a different kettle of fish. You are dancing every day

Oh I have never watched it before, this is my first year watching. So I didn’t realise that, I thought it was like the X factor. I was going to say imagine if shit singers won every year just because they didn’t have singing experience 😆

but that’s fine if people find him entertaining (I do too), but to vote for him ONLY because he isn’t a ringer is weird

People can vote for whoever they want as many times as they want as far as I’m concerned. That’s the nature of the beast. I only use my three free ones.

Yes for me I am voting based on who is doing the best. Which isn’t the same for me as who IS the best. For example, I think Chris is having to work so much harder than Tasha. It will come naturally to her. She is amazing but I’m not impressed by her because of course she will be good, she is trained, it’s her job! For Chris, what he is doing is truly amazing and it’s taking so much work and dedication and effort and concentration etc etc and I find that much more impressive

Am I imagining that they said Tasha is doing a Tango (Argentine?) to Six? Which song are they going to force into that dance form? DD and I love Six and have previously discussed what dances they could be, reaching the following conclusions:

Ex-Wives : it is very slow in parts and then too jaunty at the end for an Argentine I think.

No Way – Catherine of Aragon - samba

Don't Lose Your Head – Anne Boleyn - Cha Cha Cha

Heart of Stone – Jane Seymour - slow foxtrot or angsty contempo waft about family loss

Haus of Holbein – could only be a 90s house couple's choice unless it was turned into a very trippy Charleston. I wouldn't put it past the producers.

Get Down – Anna of Cleves - tricky. Street? Possibly a tango? Basically not mean and moody enough for for an Argentine.

All You Wanna Do – Katherine Howard - no idea but given it's a song about the sexual exploitation of a child, I'd hope it will never be used on a light entertainment show.

I Don't Need Your Love – Catherine Parr - rhumba

Six – The Queens - wouldn't work as a standalone song but is quite bouncy so possibly a samba

Whatever it is I presume it is going to be horribly mangled and won't work out of context.

I've definitely warmed to him as a personality after the first couple of weeks.

AND I give Jowita some credit for the votes they are getting to - she did a fantastic job with Hamza and now she's getting a Man Plank to dance with some semblance of a frame and rhythm! And she's fucking gorgeous too.

I saw Hamza on Countryfile tonight. Totally adorable.

Karen needs a decent celeb not a duffer/comedy act to show what she can do. She has amazing presence.

JoJo is also fabulous. (Despite the gurning) but maybe he's had enough.

Nadiya is a beautiful dancer but never quite gets the public support she should.

It's a shame Mack and Mabel isn't more well known as a musical (aside from the Torvill and Dean routine). It has so many good songs that would work for ballroom or Charlestons.

Bought the CD as it was my favourite Torvil and Dean routine. I've never seen the musical (would if it was ever performed!) but I know every song by heart.
