Sad story in the news today. The actress playing Joel’s mum , her husband of 47 years died suddenly a few days ago. Jumped into a pool he thought was heated, it wasnt and caused a brain haemorrhage. I’ll try to find a link.

At last Gail has appeared in her own storyline. Does no one on Corrie put their rubbish in bin bags? They just leave 'plot evidence' lying there for the next person to open the bin.

Daniel really is something isn't he. I know he's meant to be a mini Ken, self righteous and thinks he's better than everyonelse etc, but was Ken ever such a ... dickhead? I didn't mind Daniel too much in the past but now I can't stand him.

Did Lauren even put Joel on the birth certificate? Grandparents don’t have any rights and it would be Lauren’s final say. Wouldn’t the social worker be involved as well?

Lauren is a bit compromised by the fact she's in jail. If she's still in there when Frankie is 18 months someone has to foster him, and surely the grandparents have more rights than her boyfriend of 10 minutes who has been in Young Offenders himself.

Did anyone else think that scene was a bit odd? I'm not sure that actors Gail & Jesse were actually there when it was filmed, we only saw them from behind when other characters spoke and then when they spoke, it was just them in the shot. Looked like two parts edited together.

@JellyBeanFactory Yes good to see Gail but I agree about those scenes, they did seem oddly filmed. Half way through I thought, hang on is Gail actually there? Overall Jesse has been in her exit plot far more than she has.

She fell over the kerb whilst jumping out of the way of Debbie's car, that Daniel stole but Daisy was driving. Hope that's clear 🤣

Everyone in Corrie is keen to make things worse at every turn. Daniel steals a car and drives it about 100 yards and has a minor crash and blubs about poor Bertie, so Daisy decides to drive it off and torch it, meanwhile injuring Shona.

Corrie characters have to be able to pick the worst possible option at all times.

So, as this is CorrieWonderland, my prediction is that Joel's parents will go for custody of Frankie (although after the sad news about the actor's husband dying so tragically, unless she's filmed all her scenes already, they may have to suddenly re-write her part), but there will be resistance from Lauren.

There will be a DNA test, which will show that Max (or possibly Bobby for added drama) is actually Frankie's father, so he can remain with the Platts.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am totally lost with this storyline about the money, the bridging loan and Jesse/Gail out of the blue buying a villa in the south of France!
