How daft is this? Grin

How tall is Kit? He seems very tall compared to Daisy

Ridiculously daft!

Poor Daniel won't like Bethany pretending to have had cancer. Cardigan lady will be needed to help him process that.
Currently I prefer Les and the Quo to the rest of what's happening.

TellingBone · 04/12/2024 21:32

Les had another son, Greg Kelly. What if he turns up?

He was horrible. I don't think I need another horrible person.

WinterCrow · 04/12/2024 21:43

I actually recognised that they were the lyrics of Paper Plane which was the most exciting experience of watching Corrie I've probably had for years. Takes you back a bit, to a time when Quo were Quo and they were a rock quartet not a multi-piece combo singing about bloody margaritas.

Oh yes. He seduced our Sal and conned her into ripping of Mike Baldwin I think.

Why did Toyah not get cash from Les

Are Fizz and Chesney les's children as well as Cilla's

At least no Swain tonight

No, Fiz and Chesney aren’t Les’s kids, only Cillas. Chesney in Classic Corrie always called him Uncle Les. I’m not entirely sure who their father is. I didn’t know Toyah didn’t get any money, wasn’t really listening

eggandonion · 04/12/2024 22:44

Schmeichel and the whirlpool bath was the best episode ever.

Iwantacampervan · 04/12/2024 22:54

I'm watching on catch up as I've been at work. Any money from Les was split 3 ways, Leanne, Toyah & Chesney. Fizz got a cigarette lighter, Kirk an album and Chesney also got the snakeskin jacket.

GrandTheftWalrus · 04/12/2024 23:00

Yeah was definitely between the 3 of them. So do leanne and toyah have different mothers?

Iwantacampervan · 04/12/2024 23:04

Toyah's mum is Janice who is in Classic Corrie at the moment but not married to Les. Leanne's mum is not known yet in Classic Corrie but turns out in a few years to be Cindy from Eastenders but going under the name of Stella (probably while she was supposed to be dead or being Rose).

GrandTheftWalrus · 04/12/2024 23:07

Thanks!

eggandonion · 04/12/2024 23:08

Is the lighter wort a fortune? There has to be a reason for it to exist.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/12/2024 23:09

@GrandTheftWalrus Leanne and Toyah aren’t actually biologically related.
Leanne is the daughter of Les and Stella.
Toyah is the daughter of Janice and a bloke named Ronnie Clegg.
Les and Janice met and married when the girls were little.

GrandTheftWalrus · 04/12/2024 23:24

Ah right. I always assumed les was their dad and they had different mothers.

But was toyah not toyah Battersby at one point? Unless she just took her step dad's surname as I have known many people to do.

If only the soaps did crossover storylines! Cindy becoming Stella and moving to Weatherfield whilst in witness protection would have worked really well, better than Cindy being Rose in Spain!

The writers must have planned the death of Les to coincide with Classic as they have just done the Quo story line. I wonder how the viewing figures compare between classic and current.

MrsGrimshaw · 05/12/2024 00:23

Is it normal for a will to be read just a few days after a death? Les's funeral has yet to happen. Ok in soap land anything is possible. 🤔🙄

GrandTheftWalrus · 05/12/2024 01:11

My gran died in October and I knew i was getting money from her will. But I didn't get it until March.

PiggieWig · 05/12/2024 03:00

Les and Cilla in the hot tub were the reason I couldn’t have a water birth with DS2. My ex was convinced it would come through the ceiling, Battersby style while I was in the throes of childbirth.

eggandonion · 05/12/2024 08:55

@PiggieWig that would have been awful. My neighbour, who is a builder, had a leak under his shower tray and the floor rotted. His dd1 descended into the living room.
Schmeichel was so handsome. David the dog was on the sofa last night. Steve's dog is invisible.

HurdyGurdy19 · 05/12/2024 11:22

I still maintain that it is beyond ridiculous that Les Battersby, the most workshy chancer going, would be working two jobs at the same time. Not only that, but in his 70s, would he even be physically ABLE to do two heavy lifting jobs?

The cigarette lighter must be significant, and I can only assume that the abbatoir making an offer to the family is to cover up some failing or other, and Adam will lead them all forthwith into battle and achieve an enormous payout.

This will save Chesney from his inevitable breakdown, will bring Fizz back home again, and possibly a short return for Cilla, to try and fleece them of their cash.
