Tonight’s episode (Wednesday 27th Nov) is absolutely awful. Crime, crime, more crime, lies, lies and more lies.

I actually think ITV are trying to make Coronation Street so bad that enough people stop watching it and then ITV will stop making it giving falling ratings as the reason.

Lauren has caught "nodding during speech" syndrome. Must be airborne and an Easterly wafted it across the Pennines from Emmerdale.

@Clawdy I have seen a spoiler which is unforgiveably horrendous, but true. It doesn't involve DD or anyone in the current crop of storylines.

Why is Kit, a DC, telling Swain, a DS, what to do? He was supposed to take over on the Lauren case, not every job in perpetuity. Although Swain is an absolute basket case and the way Betsy’s going, every single job is going to be a conflict of interest.

Alya’s back as annoying as ever. Lovely swingy hair though. Has she had ‘work’ done? Cheek fillers?

So now they’ve got three solicitors in the main cast, and three police officers. And no medical staff, since Aggie left.

Nick is being a monstrous coward, I feel sorry for Sam. I also hate how they are using the memory of Oliver to generate sympathy for Leanne.

Surely the van yesterday was white, and the one today was grey? Is this just all to make Joseph nervous?

David as always was the one bright point.

@Ladyswhatlunch I was thinking the same. I was gobsmacked when I heard about it, it's something I have direct experience of and ... just no, for so many reasons.

What is the spoiler? Who does it involve ?

I've seen the spoiler and I'm pleased it's being covered. Horrendous is a very strong word.

I missed what a lot of the characters were saying tonight as other half kept talking. But agree with the pp who said they should make them half hour episodes. I end up bored with the hour long ones and just think oh hurry up and end, and zone out a lot of the time

I quite like Betsy. I think she has potential as a character with her chalk and cheese Swain attitude. I quite like seeing a professional woman having to deal with a difficult teen, but maybe that is me projecting.

Thats not how it works. The Police don’t put anyone away they investigate and either charge let go or send the file over to the CPS. The don’t decide how long someone is to spend in Prison though, that’s up to Judge and sentencing. FFS Corrie I love the bones of you but do your research
