Bake Off 24 Part Two: a meltingly light and fluffy thread taking us all the way to the final.

The last thread filled up fast in a heated debate about Alison's acrobatic antics. Join us here for the last two episodes.

Whose patisserie will carry them through the semi final and who will experience the frustration of missing out on the final 3? Will anyone fall off a stool, workbench or just trip over their own feet? Will the finalists surpass their previous efforts or will the last showstopper be a series of damp squibs? Not long to find out.

None of them were great

Wouldn’t have happened when it was on BBC2 and the standard was higher IMO

Netaporter · 26/11/2024 20:24

God this is a challenge

PrincessScarlett · 26/11/2024 20:25

This for the technical? Bloody hell that's complicated.

AnImaginaryCat · 26/11/2024 20:25

Three things for technical. Tough.

Netaporter · 26/11/2024 20:26

I predict Georgie has a meltdown in this. Tbf, I would.

Appalonia · 26/11/2024 20:26

This is just testing their nerve and whether it will get the best of them, or will they panic and crumble.

PrincessScarlett · 26/11/2024 20:27

I'd boil the eggs first. Easy to forget.

Netaporter · 26/11/2024 20:27

I predict Christian as the victor.

jay55 · 26/11/2024 20:28

I'm sad we didn't see Gill do scones.

PrincessScarlett · 26/11/2024 20:28

Christiaan does seem the only one enjoying the final.

Netaporter · 26/11/2024 20:28

I’d be telling Noel to feck off. Annoying man child.

BBC 1 and there is no way the standard used to be higher, have you re-watched the older series recently? Standards generally are way higher than they used to be.

Interesting technical

Things they all know how to make not some weird surprise

It feels so stressful

Gill would have been queen of scones.

FawnDrench · 26/11/2024 20:29

Christiaan seems the most organised and not as "stressy" as the other 2.
But of course that could just be the editing.

I'd love him to win.

Tbf it did start on BBC 2, but I take your point. I haven’t rewatched, I’ve got my nostalgia specs on I expect.

Appalonia · 26/11/2024 20:30

Christiaane is the only one who seems calm.

Pancakeflipper · 26/11/2024 20:30

Christiian is sooo chilled.

LilacLilyBird · 26/11/2024 20:30

Dylan multi tasking Grin

starrymidnight · 26/11/2024 20:30

Too much afternoon tea fare after the scone signature. I’d rather see them mix it up more. It’s the final, not afternoon tea week.

I don't think it's the editing. I think he wants to do his best and they want to win. It's a slightly different pressure.

Is Christiaan wearing a kilt/skirt? Maybe that's why he's so chilled.
