This is our tenth anniversary of sharing our thoughts on Our Girl series one and have subsequently watched the other three series, followed by Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers, Spooks and Hustle so thought it was time to try something different. Ethel reappears. She is expecting the Major's child.

Not exactly a cliffhanger but certainly a dramatic finish to that episode. Lots going on yet again.

Just seen Maggie Smith’s face when she saw her son singing along.

Yes, it's another good episode. I do enjoy our weekly Downton hour. Looking forward to episode 5 next week - can't wait until we get to the Christmas special which is really good but that's a few weeks away yet.

So, we've moved onto 1918 and it looks grim.

I do find William a bit annoying sometimes. Matthew sounds nervous.

Over the top...

Daisy has a moment...ominous. Mary too...they are all so sensitive.

Matthew and William lay motionless in a shell hole.

Spooky that Daisy and Mary feel something.

Lord G has to stop himself saying "balls up" in front of the ladies

Lucky how Matthew gets to be transferred to Downton.

News of Matthew comes via a telegram. Not looking too good for him. No idea about William at this stage.

Violet is interfering but it is very kindly meant and for the sake of William's father.

Mary is being very zealous about Matthew's care when he returns to the hospital. Lord G knows that Mary still loves him. When Lavinia is mentioned she remembers that really it ought to be his fiance doing all of this.
