Jamie looked better in the striped suit and glasses in the training room.
So no idea why they went so OTT and with the swimming hat which made him look like he had no hair.

I voted Sarah, Chris and Punam. They probably didn't need my votes, but I was watching behind, so had to vote before I'd seen all the dances. Loved Wynne as well.

There is a 1977 photo of Elton in a similar cap but it did Jamie no favours last night. I think also the shoulder fluff seen both on Aljaz (white) and Chris Ramsay (blue) led them to up the ante a bit.

I don't think they should have been wearing salmon pink. Too bright.

Elton also wore the sequinned swim cap/feathers in Kingsman 2.

This would be my routine pitch for movie week - a cowboyed Gorka as Pedro Pascal's Whiskey character with strictlified light-up lasso and a one black lens bespectacled male (or female sleb with hair slicked back) as Colin Firth's character doing an athletic combative Charleston to The BossHoss's Word Up.
Ends of course with a stationary Gorks in the mince meater legs akimbo.

Different way of teaching, more patience, I think men and women teachers are different for many reasons.

That was a long show and I ended up drinking far to much wine to get through it.
Pete, Chris and Wynn made me laugh.
Punam made me smile.
Love the Harry Potter music but although good I preferred the dance Shirleys Son did on DWTS to it.(or have I totally dreamt that???)
Everyone else all a bit forgettable.

How bad is Toyah compared to previous can't dance/ terrible dancers in the past?
Up there with the worst of the worst?
I find it hard to tell as I can't dance myself.

I voted for Punam cos she was amazing and showed such joy and freedom/confidence. It was such fun to watch. My fave of the night.

Chris cos he was remarkable once again. Hope he can cope fitness/stamina wise and doesn't get injured like Nick.

And Pete cos it made me laugh, he's actually improving and I have a girl crush on Jowita.

I thought the Minion group pro dance was one of the worst I've seen. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Montell, I don't see the love for her dancing, she looks stiff and staccato to me like she's waiting for JoJo to tell her what's next.
Toyah - needs to go obviously
Tasha - very classy, loved it. I do have a soft spot for Aljaz's ballroom dances
Paul - oh lord. Poor Karen that is all. She's an absolute trooper.
Sarah - very good and I love Vito. But there's something about her smug little smile that is beginning to annoy me. She knows she's good.
JB. Very good but somehow forgettable?
Sam I like her but she needs to improve fast to last much longer.
Shayne I don't see much chemistry with Nancy and he just seems too serious and earnest to me. Also rather forgettable.
Wynne was quite light and fun and Katya is amazing but not enough chacha/hips for me.
Jamie, far far too soon to talk winner/glitterball. I can only assume the producers saw something I didn't to give him the closing slot. I thought Punam was way better, as was Sarah.

Strictly snacks last night were M&S chilli crisps and red pepper houmous.
Tonight is a garlic bread I discovered when sorting out the freezer before my butcher order arrives tomorrow.

Who knows if any would have made it nearer to mid way if they hadn't fallen first week or two...

I wasn't watching much through the early series. But when I watched the first ever episode recently cos the cast was much smaller there wasn't much chance of having a bad week and getting through.
Apart from the likes of Christopher Parker.
Less wriggle room perhaps.

Ah yeh and it's when they don't really care if they go home 1st..so maybe don't train so much.

Chizzy Akudolu was out 1st but didn't seem that bad. Also Tameka Empson from eastenders very early exit.

Was it her or was it because she got Anton? I don't think it's a coincidence that he had so many crap partners. He can't do Latin to save his life let alone teach it.

i didnt know her name but i turned on when ??sam was dancing, black short dress? didnt like her, she looked rubbish to me
and i struggled with Jamie's trouser colour

Hopefully we'll never see Anton doing the saaaamba again!
