I've made this a bit early because my dinner is going to be ready just before the end of Strictly and I don't want us to run out of space! Please finish up the other thread first. Glitterball

Chris is currently getting my vote. It isn’t sympathy, it is awe that he can learn to dance whilst not being to see and not having had any experience of seeing/doing these dances in the past. If as time goes on he is very much at a lower level than the other contestants then my vote might change. But he is currently better than some on the dance floor and he seems to have a great partnership with Diane.

This is my feeling - it's not a sympathy vote at all but a vote for inspiration! Plus I love his witty retorts so he generally entertains me anyway.

I also think Wynne has a lot of potential, especially with Katya & feel he could pull off a place in the final & potentially even win.

TennisWithDeborah · 05/10/2024 15:46

Yeah I think Wynne may be a dark horse. He’s amusing ….but respectful/taking SCD seriously at the same time. I like his attitude so far. If shows ongoing dance improvement he could be around in December.

He was my first prediction to lift the glitterball, before I saw any of them dance.

Hi all. First time posting on this thread (but often read it after each Sat & Sun show).

I'm going to be watching around 30mins behind this eve. Does anyone know what time the voting closes this eve? I've tried to look online but can't find an answer. Family are keen to still vote, if possible (even though we'll be behind).

Shellingbynight · 05/10/2024 17:05

@Autumnleaves82 Last week voting closed 30 minutes after the programme ended. Once the programme starts the voting page should tell you, I watch on a delay too and that's how I found out.

xsquared · 05/10/2024 17:06

Welcome Autumnleaves, the voting opens a little bit before the end of the show but you have around 30 minutes to get your vote in.

Tonight's show ends at 8:40, so I'm guessing around 8:30 is when yoi can vote.

Autumnleaves82 · 05/10/2024 17:13

Thank you @Shellingbynight and @xsquared We'll check the voting page when we start watching and hopefully we'll get to see most of the couples before we vote.

Autumnleaves82 · 05/10/2024 17:17

I'm answering my own question - voting closes at 9:05pm. They've just updated the results page! (This wasn't on here 5 mins ago.)

I’m really liking Wynne. I hadn’t seen Masterchef on which it seems he was a bit marmite, so I come with no preconceptions - other than The Advert.

He seems to be really working hard, taking it seriously, and has a lovely personable demeanour which makes for good, fun interviews.

And Chris is getting my other votes. He’s just inspirational and a brilliant, uplifting addition this series.
