I see a scandal has kicked off before it’s even started due to one of the contestants allegedly being a domestic abuser 😱

Dp is already planning to retreat to his man cave for weeks. Crack on love, MAFS is my one reality tv vice (we both watch celeb masterchef, and ibreaply don't watch any others) that he doesn't agree with. He normally breaks by about week 6.....

Does anyone else listen to the MAFS Hysteria podcast? I binged that last year alongside watching the show, really enjoyed it

My beef with the show is that they always insist people ‘keep trying’ when it’s clear there is absolutely no chemistry / attraction. I mean I know sometimes these things can grow, but often it’s dead in the water from the outset and the ‘ixperts’ just smile and nod. Ditto when one of the pairing is obviously totally toxic but still they insist the process works if they just put enough time and effort in!

I'm not on Instagram anymore so I think I'm going to find the experience of following this series very different this year.

Gave up on last year after Ros left, because I just couldn't care about anyone left on it. I hope there are more people I can empathise with as well as the fairground grotesques they choose for "drama".

I still think if one person says leave, they should be able to. As in the real world. Otherwise there's coercion involved.

Thanks for this OP, was just looking to see if there was a thread on this. Although it's not as good as the Australian show, it's still great trash TV. And these threads ( as well as the fab podcasts by MAFS Hysteria and Lara on Eyre ) make it so much fun

I've got the day off and episode 1 is available on catch up!

Some of them seem real and I think the first couple looks interesting and the second one boring.

Part way through first episode.
Have everything crossed for first couple. Seem genuine even if they are a bit full on.

The one thing I have learnt is the couples I like for the first few episodes are sometimes not the ones I like by the end. Fingers crossed for some genuine people this time.
